I stayed the l'Opera Hanoi on two occasions over a one week period and found the location to be perfect, the staff efficient, helpful and pleasant, and the room decent in size. Great food but very expensive. Their left luggage service was very helpful

The room was very dark and dingy, though it was in keeping with the theme of being "opera" in style. Zero natural light. No wall between bathroom and room / just a curtain - shocking, not informed. Luckily I was living solo. Food was very expensive

The room was larger than expected and facilities well-designed and more luxurious than we expected. The curtain separating the bathroom and bedroom was cleverly designed, and the windows opening out into the courtyard was a nice touch. In addition, the location near the Opera square was particularly well located within the French Quarter.

Lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim, especially around the sink--not designed by anyone who has ever put make-up on, apparently. :)

So smart and in a fantastic location very near the Hanoi Opera House and at the start of the weekend pedestrianised part near the lake. Really lovely. The hotel also has a lovely bar with a massive beautiful loggia with a serene water feature down the middle and snug tables around the edge. The best part however is the cinema screen playing black and white Charlie Chaplin films in the background. SO cool. Also loved the pool on the third floor with outside space to lie in a sun lounger whilst listening to the sounds of the lovely street below. Really nice view from here. Ask for a opera house view maybe - we didn’t have one. Not that it mattered. Lovely room and bathroom.

The price they quoted for a taxi from the airport. Silly compared to the normal price. As usual with these hotels using their laundry service is stupidly expensive - why!??

no window or the only thing which was not nice designed were the windows which are not transparent and with very cheap frame doesn’t fit to all the rest

Team members excellent. Location excellent. Food excellent! Wifi excellent. Street food close by excellent.

Seems there is a night club or disco in the basement and over night can hear the thudding. This is not good. Even sound proofing or renovation will not solve this. The club needs to close and stop the music. Not good at all. I’m sure this is not managements decision to have this club. It’s probably leased by owning company but management needs to influence owner to cancel this music. Not good at all.

This is an amazing hotel in Hanoi just slightly outside the Old quarter it is really polished and elegant and the Satine restaurant was amazingly good for very reasonable price. The hotel is close to facilities and also the nearby Hoi Kiem Lake I was certainly returned to stay again

The staff and service were simply amazing; they went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and memorable stay. The hotel was situated in the best possible location in Hanoi, making it incredibly easy for me to explore the city's most popular attractions. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the hotel staff, who made sure that my check-in process was smooth and efficient. Throughout my stay, they were always available to assist me with any questions or requests that I had, whether it was arranging transportation or recommending local restaurants and bars.

The rooms in the 5-star hotel were subpar, particularly in comparison to those in 5-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh. Upon examining other hotels in Hanoi, it appears that this is the prevailing standard.

Very well located in the lovely French quarter Short walk via nice shops to the lake and on to old Quarter from there Room very large Good shower and bath Beds are very high but very comfy Breakfast is tasty and plentiful Very clean Its pleasant I wouldn't say it's fancy fancy but it's a nice hotel

Everything. Friendly, welcoming and competent staff. I had a great time. I enjoyed the Charlie Chaplin films and the Saturday evening jazz.

The rather loud piped music on the ground floor was a bit much at times - it made reading a little difficult.

Good location, clean and comfortable

I booked a suite with opera house view, but then I was given a suite without opera house view as I booked. The staff gave an excuse that the room was not available. I still needed to pay the same price as of the suite with opera house view.
