We stayed twice at Hotel De Rond - before & after our Ha Long Bay cruise - & stayed in both a king balcony room & a deluxe queen room, both of which were excellent. The balcony room does get more noise from the street, so ear plugs can be useful, but it’s a spacious room & great to feel closer to the action. The hotel location was perfect, it’s an easy walk to the Old Quarter & to Hoan Kiem lake, but removed enough to avoid the tourist masses. There was a good daily selection for breakfast to energize for a day of exploring beautiful Hanoi. The hotel staff were also super friendly and helpful, both in-person and over WhatsApp- thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!

situated a bit on the outskirt of the lively part of the old district so if you like to stay close to this then this is not the hotel. As with other hotels in Vietnam their window quality sucks ( 1 layer ) so expect quite some street noise if you have a room towards the street. Further a huge building site is across from the hotel, they work 24/7, so expect noise from this also until 2025 (if my guess)

Good location near lake but away from chaos of tourist section. Breakfast was nice though I am not a fan of cold fried food. Good choice of freshly cooked eggs though. The pho was good. Very comfortable room, nice bathroom. Good mattress, clean sheets and towels. Wonderful staff, friendly, efficient and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Hot water wasn't very hot. It was fine in the shower, but I would have preferred a bit hotter for shaving

The location was central. Points of interests were within walking distance. It was safe, quiet and a bit fancy as it is located in the French Quarter part of town. Breakfast was good and they serve variety of food applicable to vegetarians, too! There was a convenient store at the corner where we bought water and some snacks before coming back to the hotel. There were also 2 cute cafes along the same street. French Opera House is about 8-10 minute leisure walk, Hoan Kiem Lake about the same distance, but opposite way. Newly opened Uniqlo by the Lake about 10 minutes, high end shops like Richard Mille, Bottega, Christian Dior, Loius Vuitton, Prada all housed in the same location, about 8 minutes walk. St. Joseph Cathedral about 10-12 minutes leisure walk. Overall, very satisfied with our stay here! WiFi worked perfectly during our stay as well! Ms. Chip, the front desk concierge, explained the location well. She provided some tips on where to go, what to do and where to eat. The other staff members always greet us with a smile, always ready to help and we truly appreciated that.

the second morning we tried to have breakfast but there were actually no tables or chairs available. Since we were leaving early to go on a tour we could not wait around for something to become available, so we took some small plates to our room to eat but could not get eggs because we did not get a seat to be able to order. Tried to find some chairs and table outside but the staff only said its raining and not to go outside. There should really be enough room for everyone whos staying in the hotel to eat - it was really disappointing.

Location was ok - a little far from the old town Bed was amazingly comfortable and staff were super friendly! Cleanliness could be improved as I noticed dirt on the floor and hairs on the towels. Also the slippers were not super clean and seemed used. Finally, even though I put a Do Not Disturb sign on, the housekeeping opened the door in the morning when we were asleep. All in all definitely value for money but some improvements could be made

Great little hotel, with simple but tasty breakfast and very comfy beds. The staff were so lovely and helpful, particularly Ms Chip

One minor thing is that the fire alarm flashes light regularly at night which is a little annoying. Good to know it’s working but if you were a super light sensitive sleeper it could be an issue. Note that the spa services are not on site (but they will arrange free transport)

Gets the job done. Nothing too special, a very standard hotel room. The hotel does have day tours and can help organize outings to Halong Bay, Ninh Binh etc. The breakfast options were pretty good, with pho, fresh fruit and other breakfast items.

My friends who had a room facing the main street said it was loud and was hard to sleep. Our room that was facing the alley was ok. We could still hear sounds from outside, but it wasn't unbearable. The location was decent, but about a 10-15 minute walk from most places we wanted to go. If I wanted to be right in the center of things, I would probably live about 10-15 minute North of here.

The hotel is kind of small but the architect is really nice, clean and modern. The location is perfect its only 5 mins from Opera House. Breakfast is not too plenty but it’s really delicious. Anyway its worth with the price. Absolutely will be back again.

I think the hotel and improve a bit about service that they can help customers who have to leave early pack some foods. Cuz I see another hotel do it and I feel its really careful. I ask them about early morning but they just tell me just come and eat what they have. Little disappointed.

Book room for last minute because the first option was not good, and I am so happy with this option, It is not in the centre of old town but only take 7-10 minutes to go to centre, far from noisy of old town, Hotel staff super friendly and helpful, room was clean, not too big but good for value, The breakfast so good with lot of choice, I love the fruit so much, special you must try beef “pho”, made by order (free) Will stay again when come back Hanoi
