I liked everything! the building is welcoming and well decorated and well maintained. The staff is great, friendly, helpful, and speak English well. The view from the room to the lake is amazing and everything thing works. Several TV channels to choose from, beds are comfortable, and several nice amenities are available. The room also had a fridge, and a full equipped kitchenette in case we needed to cook meals for us or our children. The indoor pool is the star with a great view to the West Lake and with the perfect temperature. The breakfast is also great, a lot to choose from and quality ingredients. The outdoor space outside the hotel is very nice with a lake and a nice playground for the kids. Finally, the location is great, near many nice restaurants and near a small nice Vietnamese neighborhood where we can watch the locals do exercise and spend time with their kids. Really nice vibes. From now on, this will be my choice to stay everytime I need to stay a few nights in Hanoi.

First time stay at this property - very nice / high end facility. I like staying near West Lake which is a lot less crazy than the main tourist area of Hoan Kiem / old quarter and much closer to the airport Still, plenty of restaurant options and a morning walk around the lake (about 15+ km or so) is always a nice way to start the day. Very nice morning breakfast buffet.

Prior to arrival, my emailed questions to the property were responded promptly. Upon arrival, check in was a breeze. We (5 travelers) booked a one bedroom and a two bedroom and because we were travelling with elderly, I requested and was given both rooms on the same floor. Rooms are spacious, clean, and the balconies are a nice touch. Washer and dryer are tucked away in the balcony (note 2 small bags of washing powder are provided). The breakfast is very very good, slight variation each day but quality and variety surpasses. We ordered room service for lunch as it was storming one day and again, the food quality, presentation, taste were all very good. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Front desk speaks and understands English better. Location is good for me. Even though this is not in or near the old quarters, I appreciated the peace and tranquility that comes with where the property is located and more importantly, I have had zero issues getting Grab to and fro (highly recommend Grab, have hotel staff confirm the address of your destination, key "Oakwood Residence Hanoi" as pick up and/or destination and it will appear). Check out was yet a breeze and I chose the property's car transfer this time vs a commercial one that I had booked online upon arrival, and the ride was more stress free, comfortable.

All good. My elderly parents are still talking about the property vs the places they visited.

It must be the best hotel in Westlake district. Very clean and modern, the staff speaks very good English, everyone is very helpful. The room is modern and the bed is so comfortable! The bathroom is nice and has everything you may need. Breakfasts were tasty and slightly changed every day. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close to the hotel. It was my 3rd visit and I will come back again.

Too much light pollution in the studio rooms, everything is shining: phone, wi-fi router, aircon control, oven... Apartments are OK. A coffeemaker in the breakfast room was often out of service due to lack of maintenance. However, those are minor cons. Otherwise it is perfect.

The room is really clean. It contains everything for cooking needed. But the most impressive is still the service. Employees are very nice and friendly. I want to thank for the door man who helped me to check the change from Grab driver on 6/1 afternoon. I paid by 100K while the fee is actually 70K or something like that. The driver said that he does not have small bill. The door man helped to communicate with the driver by Vietnamese, and help me to check the bill one by one (10x2K, 1x5K, 5x1K) to ensure that I get all the changes back. It is really warm and kind. I really appreciate what he did for me.🙂

A last minute find. It didn’t disappoint. This 5-star hotel delivers with its 5-star service and warm hospitality. It is stylishly furnished and very clean (couldn’t find any moulds in the toilets). Full hotel amenities of toiletries, swimming pool and gym. The nearest cafe is only a 2 min walk away. After having experienced both staying in Oakwood Hotel in Tay Ho, and another hotel in Old Quarter, I would definitely choose to go back to live in Tay Ho, away from the hustle and bustle of Old Quarter.

I've checked in pretty late due a delayed flight but even though it was past midnight the welcoming was warmful, The staff at this hotel are very polite and professional, you can feel that this hotel has high standards! The room is very comfortable and the hotel is situated in a quiet residential area but pretty near the big lake, the breakfast is pretty decent but could be improved, overall my stay was very comfortable and it's a good value deal

This 5 star hotel/apartments exceeded my expectations. The property has everything you need after spending a day out in hectic Hanoi. The rooms are a good size and very luxurious and the facilities like the roof top Gym and infinity pool were amazing. The location was excellent and only a 10 minute taxi ride from the old quarter.

A 5* hotel as it should be: beautiful, clean and well equipped room and all the premises. Tasty breakfasts which were slightly changed every day. Staff was extremely friendly and all of them speak very very good English, which is not usual in Vietnam. Great roof top swimming pool, big gym, nice garden around the hotel. I have tried many hotels at this district - Oakwood is the best value for money and I will definitely stay again. I loved it!

Hard to find any cons. Maybe just little ones: the access road is narrow and hidden, drivers have problems finding it. And at breakfast there are no ingredients to make famous ca phe nau da - this made me sad :)

Great Hotel with very spacious rooms (I booked a 2-bedroom apartment), very clean and well maintained, great breakfast. There were lots of food options around the hotel and if you order food delivery from restaurants nearby, you can typically get your food very quickly (just note, the delivery driver will wait outside the building). The hotel does have scheduled shuttle service to nearby malls (for residents) but due to the timing, you will probably have to take a cab back if you need more time

Roads leading into the hotel are very old, bumpy and sometimes very narrow (not the hotel's fault) but wanted to leave this comment so that everyone is aware.
