After a long search and cancelling other bookings (because it's hard to find decent hotels with two beds in Ho Chi Minh city) we finally ended up booking Hoang Lan Hotel and it was worth every effort! It ticked all the boxes in terms of amenities and facilities but what stood out most for us was the hospitality and service! Ms. Lang who runs the hotel is such a lovely lady. She guided us through to book tours, find vegetarian restaurants and great massage places. A lovely elderly couple in the kitchen went out of their way to cater to our vegetarian needs and also make our young children comfortable. Although it was a hotel, for us it felt like a homestay. They took care of us so well!

Some reviews say the rooms are small but I don't think you can get any bigger in this busy city unless you're ready to shell out a lot more money.

We loved everything! The stuff was amazing and helpful. On our last day we had to leave early before breakfast started but the staff prepared it specifically for us and it wasn’t just fruits and coffee but a full meal course with eggs, dim sums, desserts, etc. Rooms are spacious and clean. I really loved the style and a cute balcony.

I liked that it is in a quiet area, and after a very noisy day in Ho Chi Minh, you can rest in peace.

Great Hotel with reasonable price! Staff are very friendly and nice, and breakfast was very good. It is located 15min walk to the center of city, but very calm. You can find various kinds of restaurants, Circle-K, Family-mart easily in 1 min - 10 min walk. We got special arrangement for late check out till 8-9PM, with reasonable price. Thank you very much.

The room was always cleaned every single day and it smells AMAZING 🤩 The staff is always nice and friendly, we could leave our luggages after our check out. The location is super close to District 1. It is a quiet neighborhood and it's easy to sleep. The aircon is cold and the bed is super comfy. The size of the room is also big enough for 3 people to fit and to open all luggages. I love that they have slippers in the room also and they always restock water bottles every day. The breakfast is the same every day but it is good (pho, croissant, breads, juices, bacon, sausages, dumplings, etc.) They have an elevator too so you don't need to use the stairs. It is a quaint, well-maintained hotel. I liked my stay here. The wifi is also very decent.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We got to check-in early which was also very nice after a looooong travel day from Finland. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The room had an easy-to-use safe and a small fridge. Air conditioning and wifi worked well. Breakfast was good with some coffee and juice, toast, jams and fruits, plus they made some eggs to order and pho soup every morning. As a bonus the hotel staff had a dog, Leggo, who was also a part of the hotel family. <3 Nice small hotel with good location. Several nice cafés, spas, restaurants and minimarts were a short walk away.

The cleaning of the rooms started a bit earlier than what we are used to. Some mornings we woke up to the cleaning sounds of other rooms already around 7/8 am, which is a bit early if you want to sleep in.

The staff was super nice and friendly. The hotel was clean and the location was great, super quiet in such a huge busy city. Definitely a hidden gem. Was also really close to some minimarkets, the war museum and a great restaurant - Man moi. We never had such flavors in our trip so far to Vietnam as at that restaurant. Don’t miss this restaurant btw. The rest of the food we tried so far in Vietnam doesn’t compare to it. The breakfast was decent, nice selection of some pastries, flan/yoghurt, fruits, freshly made pho or eggs, coffee with different types of milk options and some traditional dishes. It might not seem so grand as to other hotels, but breakfast really should not be a deal breaker. We loved our stay and if we were to go again to Ho Chi Minh, we would book here again no hesitation.

The hotel is tucked away from the main street which means it is quiet at night (and in the day too)! The cleaning was done everyday. The breakfast lady and generally the whole staff was very friendly and helpful for any requests we had. The breakfast is varied with western food and also vietnamese food (dumplings, Pho etc..). You can eat inside with AC or outside and people watch as you sip your coffee. There is a massage spa place near it as well. The whole stay was perfect and you are 20 min top from main centre/monuments. Highly recommend it !

Nothing it was great !

It's hard to find a quiet spot in a city as vibrant and noisy as HCMC, but Hoang Lan is just that. It's tucked behind another large building and thus away from the street noise. It was so nice to come back to our comfortable, quiet room after a day of exploring the many sights, sounds, and tastes of HCMC. The hotel is also a short walk both to the war remnants museum and to Tao Dan park, which is a great place to get a glimpse of how ordinary folks spend some of their leisure time. The staff are also super friendly, and the breakfast, while relatively simple, was always fresh and served with care. Highly recommended.

Some more art on the walls of the room, as well as some color, would have made the room a bit more homey.

Perfect location District 3 close to the war Remnants museum. 30 mins walk to Central Market or a short Grab taxi ride. Lovely large, clean rooms comfy beds all amenities one needs. Quiet location set back from road. Breakfast included. (nothing special but they do use NZ milk for coffee!!) Staff esp Mochi? the receptionist; most helpful booking us bus to Tra Vinh etc. Highly recommend.

There was some issue with our rooms when we arrived. I think it was overbooked. However they did come through and provided us with an upgrade ie a slighly bigger room. Breakfast in most hotels is not really that exciting. The street offerings are better. That's not a criticism but a general comment of most hotels
