The room was big, clean and comfortable with all the amenities one would expect of a 5 star hotel. Location is fantastic, on a quiet street, walking distance to all the main sights and landmarks.

Quite pretentious. Also, when I was checking out I was not allowed to leave the hotel until my room had been checked - in all the hotels I have stayed in this was a first! I had a room only booking and was not allowed to add on breakfast at check in, I was told to deal directly with the restaurant. I could not keep a card on file for charges. I ordered room service which could not be added to the room so I had to pay when the meal was delivered. I would have preferred to have my card on file and charge room service or if there were any issues with the room to the card. A shame to leave a beautiful hotel feeling like I was not valued and could not be trusted, and as a result unlikely I would return or recommend.

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. We had a junior suite and access to the executive lounge. We found service across all areas of the hotel to be excellent and faultless - all staff have a personality and were professional. The cleanliness of our room and all spaces was excellent. Breakfast was an amazing spread of options that were all well prepared. If we could give 4.75 stars we would as the only faults we could give is that they didn’t restock the mini bar in our room which is odd in our room type, and in our room the TV was not working well (lagged with the wifi connection) and the light coming in from curtains and the switches on the wall was a distraction at night. But would certainly stay again and recommend to others.

An unbelievable experience. From check-in to check-out every moment was catered for. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless, pool and spa was sensational and food was delicious. I highly recommend the breakfast, the buffet selection was worldclass with everything from handmade sushi to french patisserie. The housekeeping were also wonderful, offering late night cookies and keeping the minibar and amenities stocked. Thank you everyone at Mai House.

Nothing, it exceeded my expectations tenfold.

A beautiful hotel in an ideal location for exploring the main sites of Ho Chi Minh on foot. The staff were very helpful and provided lots of useful information, both prior to and during our stay. The property is spotlessly clean throughout with lovely facilities. There is an extensive and high quality buffet breakfast and the spa was wonderful and very good value, especially as there was a promotion on during our stay. The free taxi from the airport was also a nice touch.

Nothing really, but a couple minor points could easily be addressed. The hot drink service at breakfast was a little slow, and whilst very lovely, the Club Lounge's food and drink choices were a bit limited, especially during the afternoon, when only biscuits were available. A nice slice of cake or a couple of light bites would have been good rather than just the small jar of cookies.

Absolutely gorgeous 5 star hotel in District 3, which felt like being in an authentic part of Saigon with fewer tourists. Everything in walking distance. Rooms were large and beautiful. There was no doubt we were in a 5 star hotel the second we walked in. Beds were comfy, room was quiet, bathroom was large with a huge tub and great water pressure, plenty of hot water. Free water and mini-bar. Pool was nice. Any direction you walk, you will find plenty of restaurants, coffee, food stands, etc. We were walking distance to District 1 but chose not to spend any time there. Staff was responsive and wonderful.

The AC only went down to 20 degrees Celsius; would have liked to turn it a little colder at night. We also wanted to bring in some food from local stands but they wouldn't allow us to eat it at the pool (understandable since they served food from the hotel at the pool) or in the lobby (never run into this problem in other hotels).

A beautiful hotel in every way. We loved every minute if staying there and was so so sad to leave. Really everything you could ask from a five star hotel and more. Staff was amazing and the breakfast incredible.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the contact with the hotel before we checked in. It felt very impersonal and didn’t match the hotels premier vibe. One example is that we started booking airport transfer, then all of a sudden it was fully booked. To not be able to solve that felt a bit wierd. Also that we could not bring our baby to the rooftop. Ok if you don’t want kids running around there but surely you could make an exeption for a sleeping infant.

I would like to share my gratitude for the wellness provided by this hotel , we have enjoyed the stay it was an escape from the crowd that we used to in our city, being a citizen of dubai having access to luxury hotels on daily basis and this hotel is exactly and iconic one at the same time that offers same comfort as being home far away from home also the facilities and the modernity of the place was remarkable. My special thanks goes to VY she was so lovely and checked us in with smile and smoothly next day also met with her manager who was lovely and very kind. I want to thank phuong ( male from sky bar) he is very happy to assist with a lot of information and easy to connect with and will never let you feel alone. Thank you ☺️ I wish i have noted the name of the concierge guy who helped us before arrival he was so nice (wearing eye glasses). The breakfast was rich and varied team were very professional and well organised! I enjoyed the pool gym as well as the room service responsiveness. Overall amazing stay ! I definitely recommend report quality and price is indeed very well rated , do not hesitate to book this place it is the best !

Incredible experience from start to finish. We were in the club level room - we came in extremely tired from a full day of travel including delayed flights and the staff there did the check-in process so seamlessly. The breakfast each day, the laundry and housekeeping staff, the food and drink available in the lounge, their generosity and level of service, everything was amazing. During our stay it was Tet and the hotel had even arranged for guests to be able to see Tet fireworks throughout the city from the roof / terrace of the hotel. The hotel is centrally located and quite near to District 1 and to other restaurants in the area but just far enough that you’re not up all night listening to traffic. It’s both central yet secluded - we can’t wait to go back and visit them again.

Fabulous stay! From the minute I arrived the staff made me feel like I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Took my cases immediately to be delivered to my room and check in was fast and easy. The room was luxurious and bed comfortable, especially the bathroom. I didn’t have breakfast but did order room service several times and it was very tasty. The pool area was relaxing although bar staff were a little slow, but very hospitable. It’s slightly outside the main centre but around a 20-30 minute walk to the main attractions. Grab taxis are extremely cheap so it wasn’t a problem. The decor was stunning, the lobby really felt like an extremely high-end hotel. Compared to the price of 5* hotels in Europe this felt like a bargain. I wouldn’t normally repeat hotels but I couldn’t see myself staying anywhere else in Ho Chi Minh on return.

+ Location is within 10-20 minutes walk of the main tourist attractions. + Close to a range of eateries including upmarket restaurants and bars, Sushi Hokkaido Sachi, and Ben Nghe tourist food market. + The beautiful hotel common areas - the lobby is glamorous. + The rooms were very comfortable and decorated with flair. + Our special occasion was acknowledged with a very delicious complimentary cake, surely an indicator of the standard of the hotel's high tea which we didn't have time to have but will keep in mind for future visits. + Being greeted by the doormen and having the door opened for us when we left and returned to the hotel. Great when we have our hands full! + Attentive and friendly breakfast staff.

- We were asked to pay a damage deposit of 4,000,000 dong i.e. 2,000,000 dong per day (approx. AUD250). This was a shock as it was double the amount stated in Booking.com and not a requirement of our other accommodation in Vietnam. Luckily we had only booked for 2 nights, not our original plan of 5 nights, as the deposit would have been AUD1000! However, after discussion with the manager it was refunded soon afterwards. - Some front desk staff members were not very friendly. - The tv reception was very glitchy, often freezing.
