I enjoyed the facilities, especially the pool which was not too crowded and a great way to cool heat in the heat. The hotel was fairly close to a lot of the attractions I wanted to visit. Only thing I wished was more things would be open later. And I had great interactions with most of the staff, the receptionists, the cleaners and the people during breakfast

I wish the property was more sustainable. There’s a lot of single use items in the bathroom that don’t need to be there. Also I was put off during the check out process. The manager suggested adding a 10 star review and proceeded to sit next to me, trying to watch me write the review.

Location was perfect. In leafy area of district 3. Close to war museum. Lots of cafes close by. Walking distance to district 1 Roof top bar and restaurant with small pool was perfect for relaxing.

Executive room did not have a separate bathroom from the sleeping area. Using the toilet and sink in the night disturbs others in the room.

Au Lac is an elegant hotel in the centre of Saigon. All the interior of the hotel is stylish. The rooms are nicely furnished with all amenities like good TV, kettle, safe, toiletries etc.. Our - Suite with Balcony - had a balcony which is an advantage. Breakfast was tasty & versatile. The hotel offers a small pool with a bar and loungers on 11th floor - very nice perk. The staff is kind, helpful and informative. We bought a trip to the delta from them and it was good. Definitely recommended hotel.

The room was advertised as 35 m2, in fact was more like 22 m2:-)

Breakfast was phenomenal.

Staff could have been more flexible. I came 10 minutes late to the afternoon tea and they refused to serve. I know there are rules but as a frequent guest, I would have appreciated a little more flexibility.

Great location, close to shops, best market close by called the Youth Center market/Box Concept, very friendly staff, always played with the children. Great breakfast and afternoon tea. Swimming pool is small but big enough for a cool down dip. Rooms are spacious but a bit old and tired.

Right next to petrol station and construction site and big road, can be quite noisy. The suit room is great but the executive room was a bit disappointing, a bit old not sure it’s worth the money.

I LOVED the breakfast. Really found the bed quite comfortable. The location was quiet and mellow area of town. Close to the War Remnants Museum, which was a heavy but educational. I highly recommend. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful. I’d def return to stay there again. The pool and steam room with rooftop lounge were fabulous!!

The bathtub wouldn’t “plug” so I just took showers. The AC unit stopped working the last day. I told them upon check out and they would’ve fixed it the day before had I told them, but I didn’t want anyone changing the filter at bedtime. But without the air on or a fan to move the air, you could really “smell” Ho Chi Minh. But it was all good overall.

We had a great time at the hotel. We especially appreciated the afternoon tea and snack buffet on the rooftop - it was a pleasant surprise how varied and generous the selection was. The breakfast was also good, but the breakfast area was quite small, making it very crowded, and the dishes were almost always empty... The rooftop pool was a nice spot to cool off and relax. The location of the hotel is fantastic: everything is within walking distance! Our flight home was very late in the evening, but we were still allowed to use the pool and shower facilities, and the reception kindly stored our luggage after our free late check-out at 1 pm.

We booked a room with a window, which wasn’t too noisy. However, I believe this largely depends on the side of the hotel and the floor your room is on. Our room had a connecting door to the neighboring room, and it was evident that we were given the "add-on" room rather than the master bedroom, as it was quite small. I would recommend introducing more differentiated pricing and room categories. Currently, the main distinguishing feature seems to be whether the rooms have windows or not, but they also appear to vary in size.

The staff is friendly and want to please. Breakfast is great in a pretty location. The rooms are comfortable with great bathrooms and water pressure. Air conditioner worked great! Bed is comfortable. The free afternoon tea was great. On the roof top between 2:30-4:30pm. Really nice spread both savory and sweet with coffee, tea, and juices. Location great

My only negative was during the afternoon tea unfortunately the room shared the small roof top with a pool on deck and a small bar. Kids were screaming in the pool and loud bar area. It made the experience a bit unpleasant. There is a door but the staff kept it open so you hear all the noise and get the heat and humidity. Staff were not as attentive in the afternoon tea area. Things were slow to be replenished at times and left the door open

This was a very comfortable hotel to stay in for the start of my trip. The room was clean with a beautiful bathroom, and the mattress comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a wide array of western and asian food options, and the afternoon tea was a nice touch (although overrun with children piling up their plates which was a little frustrating). The hotel is located a stone's throw from Independence Palace and other major points of interest, making it a good location.

The pool is a lot smaller than it looks from photos which put me off a bit from using it, but this is a minor critique which didn't detract from an otherwise very comfortable stay.

This hotel is small but provides service of much larger hotels. The pool and bar area are excellent, well laid out and serviced well by staff. They also serve an afternoon brunch which is superb and included in the price of the room. Breakfast was excellent but needed a few more western options. The rooms were small but very clean and well appointed.

We would have liked to dine at the hotel and were told by staff that the kitchen closed 8.30pm later when we went to look at the menu we were told the kitchen was now closing at 8pm as the chef had to leave early and there were no longer set menu options available which only left the ala carte menu available with limited options. We were also told that the set menu had to be order in advance eg morning time , but no one had mentioned this to us or was it listed on the menu when were asked earlier in the day.
