Location is down a small alleyway and until you know it is there, it can be difficult to locate. However, the location is very central and excellent for the area

Water was not always hot, there were many times in the day when the "hot" water was just lukewarm

I had a really great stay at Phan Anh Hotel in Saigon! 🌟 The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, so it’s easy to walk to the market, major attractions, and plenty of food and coffee spots nearby. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, whether you choose a private room or dorm. I stayed in a private room and found it very cozy, quiet, and affordable, excellent value for money. Breakfast was included, tasty, and a great start before heading out to explore the city. Overall, Phan Anh Hotel is a perfect choice for budget travelers who want a convenient, clean, and welcoming place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

The comfortable, cleanness and hospitality

That the room was clean and bed was comfortable, was quiet as its inside an alley. The breakfast is sufficient for us, but maybe a little change in the menu is a great bonus when customers stay for more than 4 days in a row, and not having to eat the same thing every morning 😃

Most of the guests have to remove their shoes before entering their premises and as we came in the rain, we were not told about this particular requirement. But the staff were quite kind and nice about it and didn’t kick up a fuss when we wear our shoes inside.

Stayed here with my family of three and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Everything ran smoothly, and the owners were warm and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, made even more special by the owners’ little children playing the piano in the mornings—a charming touch that made the stay memorable.

Everything was good. There were construction noises but that’s something we cannot control as it’s south east Asia and it’s always developing!

This is our second time staying at this hostel with my family (kids and grandma). It’s not your typical hostel—no parties, just big tour groups staying for one or two nights and regular travellers of all ages. We love it because the owner is a wonderful woman, and the staff is professional, patient, and kind. The hostel is clean and comfortable, and we especially like the rooms with two double beds. Over the past two years, it has maintained the same high standards, which speaks to the owner’s professionalism. Breakfast is included, and the location is excellent. It’s tucked away in a narrow street, typical of Saigon, and sheltered from the city's noisy main roads—we slept very well. Everything you need is nearby: a fresh market for fruit, a supermarket, plenty of coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. You can easily walk to Binh Tan Market. The hostel can also arrange airport pickup if you're unfamiliar with the area. This is the only place I’ll stay in Saigon—we love this little street filled with caring people. See you next time!

The only downside was some guests leaving their trash behind and being a bit too casual in the lobby—please be mindful and respectful of shared spaces and the hardworking hotel staff.

The lovely staff helped me check in early, and were incredibly friendly and generous with their time. They helped me out quite a few times when I needed guidance, and tolerated my clumsy (and unnecessary) attempts to speak Vietnamese. I spent a few nights in a double room by myself before moving to a shared room for an extra night, and both exceeded my expectations - the location of the hostel is both incredibly convenient while still feeling safely off the main thoroughfare.

1. Breakfast is standard English breakfast. Not a big spread but simple and filling. Ontime. 2. Location right inside the town, quick walk is enough to reach most of the places. 3. Room is ok since we are one big family. 4. On check out day - we kept all our luggage in lobby and went for sight seeing. It was around 20 in number and occupying most of the space, however, hotel staff didn't raise any objection. On return before going to airport we pent around 3 hours there to refresh and move. They accommodated all.

1. Location - right outside the hotel, is a market (see photos) that sells all vegetables/meat. So it is stinky and difficult to cross. However, that is for a minute or two. Indians don't see any difference from our markets. 2. Room - for a 5 occupancy room, they have promised to give a 3 bed plus 2 bed - however, two queen size beds only provided. We have to squeeze 5 of us within that. There is no space in the room to add even an extra bed. We didn't raise a big problem because we had 3 rooms to balance it out. It is ideal for 4 members only. They should not give that for 5 adults.

Beds and pillows were stiff. TV had static on the channels. No view.

Stayed here as part of the G Adventures group tour. Firstly the location is perfect! Loads of shops, restaurants and stuff to do nearby. Also within walking distance to the busy areas however you can easily get a taxi if you’d prefer. The owners cooked us a great meal on arrival day as well as let us leave our luggage on the day we checked out. All in all a great place to stay!

Nothing for me personally and if I was travelling to HCMC myself as a solo traveller I’d recommend this place.

Staff were excellent - very helpful and changed our room to better meet our family size. Breakfast simple but very good and a great start to the day. Hotel entrance about 20m off the street, so was a nice and quiet location.

Missed not having a fridge in the room.
