The hotel is located in the centre of the island, between the airport and Duong Dong (the city centre). You can very easily either walk to the beach (about 10 minute walk) or drive (taxi or by motorbike) to various nice beaches of the island within 15-20 minutes. The room: very clean. Clean bedsheets and towels. Clean floor, shower, toilet and kitchen. Big and comfortable. Equiped with a kettle, mugs, glasses, tea and coffee. Big windows with lots of light and blackout curtains. The staff is amazing, very helpful and nice with good recommendations. The breakfast is good, well prepared and tasty! Also very nice and clean swimming pool and sunbeds:)

The room was missing a small towel at least for our hands. In the room we only had two towels for the shower and one towel for stepping out of the shower (no towels for our hands or hair/face) and a toilet brush. Unfortunately, the electricity in the room is only activated with the key card which means that the fridge is turned off when you leave the room. We had to throw away our food as it went bad when the fridge was not working anymore :/

The resort is situated in a quiet side street, ca. a 5-minute walk from the main street. Plenty of shops and restaurants are nearby, within walking distance. It is recommended to rent a scooter to be able to discover Phu Quoc island: beaches, villages, Night Market, Cablecar, Grand World, etc. Long beach can be reached by walking too. It has a beautiful garden with a nice pool. Some sunbeds are avaialable around the pool too. Palm trees, orchids, flowers, everything is green in the garden, that is the best part of the property. Rooms have private entrances with a small balcony/patio. Our room was spacious, had AC,, walk-in shower, small kitchenette with a kettle and tea cups, a fridge, a desk, etc. Tea and coffee and a small bottle of water is provided every day in the room. Daily towel change is provided. Breakfast is served in an adjacent garden, you can choose from 8 different set menus. Staff was nice.

If you pay by card a 3% extra is charged. This was not indicated during the booking nor in the T&C. The kitchenette consists of cups and teaspoons and a kettle, but nothing else, cupboards were empty, we asked for drinking glasses and we got two.. Some plates, knives could have been useful for eating the fruits we bought on the streets. However, we survived without a fully equipped kitchenette. They offer the scooter rental for 150000 VND/day, while you can rent a scooter for 100000 VND/day or less, just around the corner. Of course this is not a big difference, but if you want to save some money have a look around and ask for prices at other places too.

Pool was amazing! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned to perfection each day, and only a 5min walk to the beach. It was my birthday and the staff left a beautiful happy birthday sign and towel swans in the room when we came back later that day. Really put a smile on my face :)

I loved everything!

Very comfortable. Location great. Very quiet street. Staff very helpful and always smiling. They make you feel at home. To name a few : the manager who starts to work at 4am and always smiling, stuff Moka, Nhi, Ling always there to help you out with a smile….. Breakfast excellent with fresh fruit juice. There is nothing bad to say. The pool is great too. Very clean. Rooms and beds very comfortable. Close to the mini market “TAP HOA QUANG PHUONG” that you can get fresh fruit, coffee, ice coffee, yogurt, beer, wine with very reasonable price. They take credit card. Close to two very good restaurants “BENZ” and “TUNA”. They both take credit cards. Walking distance to the beach. Free shuttle bus from the corner to go to the airport, night market, ……

No complaints.

This was a last minute booking, literally a few minutes after arriving at the location. We felt pretty defeated after being scammed by "hotel owners" in the Grand World area so we came here after briefly reading their reviews and took a Grab ride to check the place out before actually booking. Room was actually comfortable, beds are okay too. It even has a kitchenette area next to the bathroom. Just don't forget to check all windows and make sure they are always closed. Receptionist was very friendly and accomodating. She even gave us free keychains! I forgot to ask her name though. One night our bathroom was raided by a non-paying customer (it's a HUGE lizard) and we asked for help from a different lady at the reception. She actually went up to help us along with an older man, he managed to wrestle the lizard and caught it for us, all in an hour. She was also very friendly and told us stories about how these lizards are super common over there. It was really a funny memory. All that because we opened the window in the bathroom to let the bad smells out. I would still come back and stay there again and hopefully this time with better AC and maybe on the ground floor next time. Thank you for making our stay in Phu Quoc so much better after our terrible first day in Phu Quoc being scammed by hotel owners. P/S: Sorry for no actual room photos, I only took a video. And yes the third picture is the silhouette of the huge lizard thing against the bathroom door and fourth picture is the man holding the lizard after wrestling that thing to death.

AC wasn't really cold even with the lowest temperature and turned on for quite some time, I'd suggest for them to service their AC units. Another one was the sewer smell in the bathroom. Not sure if it's because we were at the third level but the bathroom didn't have any ventilation system aside from the small window. One time we opened the window and a HUGE lizard actually got into the bathroom.

First to meet the friedly staffs as soon as we getting off the shuttle, then come the little jungle garden, the flowers that grow on the trellis and the simple resort type setting like coconut trees also with orchid plants everywhere. If you like fresh water swimming and there is one for you as well. Indeed it has given us a very pleasant feel out look from bed room window. Needless to say the cost of room price is just a fraction compare to the upscale. The choice is mine and you in a family's setting resort.

There are quite a few resorts round the area that share the same little alleyway for access. The busy traffics in and out of the area can become a safety concern as cars and motorcycles zoom from behind me in walking.

Excellent family run resort up a lane way, away from the noise and hustle of town, great restaurants a short walk away, great beach only 10 minutes away and town just a short Grab ride away. The family couldn't do enough to help, my son left his phone charger in town and we were getting ready to go to the airport, one of the daughters jumped on her scooter and rushed into town to pick it up. Great rooms, great pool, lovely family. We'll be back next year, counting down the days.

A longer stay!

The breakfast with 8 different options was great, the pool was amazing with the little waterfall. The owner was very helpful and the staff very nice. The grounds have tons of plants so very beautiful and not many mosquitos. The location is super quiet up a side street that was very safe at night. Little corner store super close and tons of great restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

My partner and I absolutely loved staying at Melica Resort, we stayed over the Christmas period and we did not regret it. The staff are super friendly and willing to help with anything. The breakfast was the best we had in our 5 week trip in Vietnam, plenty of healthy options. 15 min walk to the beach, 5 mins to all the restaurants. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. 100% recommend.

Good location, a lot of nice local place to eat around and a public beach nearby. Great swiming pool! Breakfast was quite nice too but what I like the most was plants all over the place. Gave tropical jungle vibe. Staff was very helpful as well.

It has some minor cosmetic things need to be repaired. Also the motorbike they rent to us was a little bit off and the helmets were broken so receptionist gave me hers. I think you can find better place to rent around.
