We loved everything about our stay here. The staff are amazing and friendly nothing was to much. The location was perfect away from the busy parts but close enough to get to grab was easy to order and never more than a few mins wait. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever experienced so many options for everyone. The rooms are clean and the balcony is huge the pool is good. If we ever come back I would stay here again.

The Pool is amazing! The breakfast is great too. The property is huge and worth spending ample amounts of time at. Great views. Had a delightful stay at Sol by Melia Phu Quoc. 100% worth it. Recommend it

The location could've been a bit better as the main attractions of Vin etc are towards the north of Phu Quoc. But not a problem at all since they're 30-40 mins at most by car, Definitely not a downside but it could've been closer to the bigger attractions.

Advertised as having an adult only pool which was not the case. Staff took a long time to take orders, often on their phone or hiding from site. Be careful of the all inclusive package - it’s a very reduced menu but they don’t tell you that when purchasing. They also say you get 20% off the spa with the all inclusive but it was only off certain things. Breakfast was hard to get a table, cutlery or even plates at time. A lot of staff clearing tables but still struggled to keep up.

Gym and pool are excellent!

The staff that worked there was really nice, The breakfast was good, only the desserts was a bit dissspointing. The pool and beach was great. The room was clean and had everything you need It was a very relaxing atmosphere.

The place is a bit off, so you will probably need to take a cab to get to town. The bathroom had a frosted glass which was not frosted enough.. It can be a bit awkward if you are sharing the room with your family or friends and not your partner. Had to go to the balcony eveytime someone wanted to shower. The price for food, drinks and beach items was a little to expensive.

This is a gorgeous resort, at great value for money. We found the pool and beach areas both wonderful, and the rooms were clean and, though maybe a tad run-down, overall very cozy. The resort has three restaurants that serve very decently-priced food that was delicious. The buffet breakfast was also great, with a large variety of foods ranging from Western to Indian, Vietnamese, and Chinese breakfast options (great egg-station!). In addition, the resort had fun activities such as yoga, stretching, morning walks, and pool fitness, ping-pong and volleyball. The activities supervisor Chiéu and her team were absolutely amazing. They made our stay truly special. We also very much loved the wonderful jazz saxophonist who accompanied tea time, happy hour, and dinner. In general, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. They had prepared a little surprise for our anniversary, which we really appreciated. An all around great experience. We would absolutely visit again.

We only had very minor quibbles, as we generally loved our stay. For instance, the Wifi in the pool area was very slow. Also somewhat unfortunately, the hotel initially charges a deposit to cover resort expenses like food and drink at the restaurants - that itself is fine, but when that deposit runs out, you can no longer charge expenses to the room, forcing you to carry your credit card around. Finally, the airport shuttle only leaves every 90 minutes. If that doesn't suite your schedule, make sure to get a Grab account in advance to order a car, or to bring cash: cabs on the island do not accept credit cards, and the hotel is not able to charge expenses like cab rides to the room, which is rather inconvenient.

The hotel has amazing facilities which are in good shape, the pool area is great, the bar is nice, the restaurant’s food’s are for the majority great (a bit expensive for Phu Quoc but the quality makes it acceptable), the beach was spotless and very comfy. The spa massages were seriously good, and the spa in general is great. The rooms are spacious, and while they might have seen better days in some spots are still quite clean and well kept. I also got a nice birthday surprise from the hotel which was nice. +1 for the amazing breakfast. The only thing we didn’t really like was the staff, they were always pretty friendly but never really smiling or making the first move, the housekeeping was also pretty irregular and I had to tell the reception to clean our room once. But this stuff didn’t really affect our stay since the rest was so nice. The staff just needs a bit more training and better English.

We spent Christmas at this charming resort. The pools were lovely, each bordered by a restaurant, and a beautiful beach lay just past them. The holiday ambiance was wonderful, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of having plenty of drinking water—a unique perk in Vietnamese hotels. The staff were courteous and helpful. In terms of location: There isn’t much immediately outside the resort, but a Grab taxi ride costing less than $2 USD can take you to the lively Sonasea Market, and $4 USD can get you to the town center.

The air conditioning controls were inconsistent and didn’t work as expected.

Overall, our stay here was amazing. We stayed in the Superior Room with Pool Access and it was exactly like the photos. The pool was thigh high and perfect for a cool off, and the room was clean and comfortable. The main pool had lovely sunset views, perfect temperature, big enough that it didn't feel cramped if lots of people were swimming and had amazing swim up bar. The lounges by the pool and the beach were great too. Overall, the resort is beautiful, always picturesque and a wonderful getaway.

Our main issue was the price of food in the resort restaurants. We thought they were slightly overpriced for the amount of food we got. Other than that we had very small issues, such the private beach was a little dirty and the location of the resort is a little far away from anything else on the island.
