We loved our stay at Sapaxa. The location was out of Sapa Town in a remote but walkable area with stunning views and 40min walk to closest village Ta Phin. Our room was big and comfortable with a balcony over looking the rice paddies. The small staff team were super friendly, spoke english and knew the area really well. They have an onsite kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner (only a couple of ecolodge cafes nearby) and the food was great.

Location is a bit remote e.g. 15-20min drive to Sapa Town, which was fine for us as Sapa Town is very touristy now. You can book taxis or hire an onsite scooter or just walk around the village.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Sapaxa Lodge! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Mike, the most wonderful and attentive host you could ever wish for. He was always available to help, offer advice, and make us feel completely at home. The rooms were simply beautiful — spacious, spotless, and surrounded by absolute peace and quiet. Waking up to the views and the serene atmosphere was pure magic. The food… wow. The kitchen was nothing short of outstanding — every meal was fresh, full of flavor, and felt like a true taste of Vietnam. Mike suggested we rent motorbikes to explore Sapa on our own, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of the trip. We were able to ride through breathtaking landscapes, visit hidden gems, and experience Sapa’s beauty at our own pace. Everything about Sapaxa Lodge exceeded our expectations. We can’t recommend it highly enough — if you’re visiting Sapa, this is the place to stay

Location: Little far away from city and nestled in serne village overlooking fields and mountains.. However its far from city and some roads might be closed.. We took a road which not motorable and changed it. People are extremely good. Hotel arranged a taxi for us for seigh seeing and she was extremely helpful and took care of us. Breakfast was having multiple options, not too high end but it was good.. Overall a great place to stay, value for money, good people/owner if you are okay to stay out of town/city..

Weather of Sapa, which is nothing to do with hotel.. It was too foggy to see anything..

It is located in a beautiful area, with a beautiful view. The bungalows are really great, done from local materials and really comfortable. It is very clean!! We loved our stay and we hope to come back again. Breakfast is really good, and the staff is very nice and helpful. Dan, the manager helped us out with booking a bus to Hanoi, to order transport to SaPa, helped out with the tickets for cable car… organized an early check-in as soon as it was possible and provided with a room for a short rest, where we could have a nap after our long trip. Really helpful!Communication with the property before the stay was also really great! We felt, that everything will be taken care of :) i definitely recommend this place to everyone! We had an amazing time there and rested so so much!

Sapaxa ecolodge is a lovely homestay, nice views (when it’s not foggy), friendly and attentive staff and comfortable beds. We got delicious free breakfast which was a surprise (we thought breakfast wasn’t includes). Location is remote, but we’re glad we stayed here rather than tourist-overrun Sa Pa town.

It was quite cold in the rooms, it’s only heated by an air-conditioning unit, but since the walls and roof are not well insulated, the heat doesn’t stay in. The location is remote and only reachable by private car (luckily we had a driver) or taxi. We hired a driver from these guys and it was a hit or miss (one driver (Huy) was great, one was good and one we didn’t feel safe with).

Lovely blend of new and old features with thatched roof traditional huts but still with mod cons. Balcony was a nice bonus! Free breakfast very good here as was the food in general. Lighting of an evening was amazing really well thought out, gave the place some magic. Good selection of options for food and drinks.

It was slightly cold in both the room and the restaurant, the other place we stayed in Sapa had a fire pit inside, we felt like this place was missing that. Other than that great property 15 minutes away from Sapa town but I would not want to stay there anyway this is what you came for to be in nature. Use of bike helpful but taxis are available and easily organised with VIet the manager

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is lovely, very cosy and comfortable. The shower was good too. The breakfast and food in general is very tasty and reasonable cost. Was a very nice place to chill, especially as the weather was rubbish.

It is quite far from Sa Pa and a taxi costs 250vnd each way so can get a bit expensive to get out and about. Be careful of the projectors, whilst a great idea, ours was very flimsy and broke with one touch.

My partner and I have stayed in lots of different accommodations during our travelling, only 2 others I have voted 10 stars! The host was one of the kindest people we’ve met, and was very attentive with our requests. We were at the accommodation during a typhoon so couldn’t go into Sapa but this little haven was the perfect spot to be cooped up we couldn’t complain! Beautiful views, private terrace, cosy beds, projector for Netflix (which you can also connect to your speaker), shower with a view out to the mountains, yummy food, all at a great price, doesn’t get much better than this. Thanks for the stay guys!

Absolutely amazing staff, very friendly, we travelled with a baby and everybody was very attentive and cared for us. Sapa in winter is cold, so be ready for this. We got an extra heater due to the baby which was good, but pack warm clothes since the rooms do get cold at night (even during the day). But hot water, heating lamps in the shower, they try the best. Food and breakfast (1 of 6 options) is very good. The offer taxi service from/to Lao Cai, Sapa, etc. Can recommend it, I guess in summer it’s even better.

As mentioned the rooms stay quite cold. Heating is with the A/C, set at 30 degrees it still doesn’t heat up the rooms during the day or night. Make sure to pack warm clothes for day- and nighttime.
