THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND VERY HELPFUL. THE ROOM, LOCATION NEXT TO THE PARK, WAS BIG FACTOR FOR US AS WE LIKE TO GET OUT AND WALK A BIT IN THE EVENINGS. BREAKFAST AND ALL THE OTHER FACILITIES ARE ALSO GREAT.

2 THINGS IN THE BEDROOMS, YOU NEED TO BUILD A WOODEN PLATFORM ON THE WALL OPPOSITE THE BATHROOM AS YOU WALK INTO THE BEDROOM. SO WE CAN PUT YOUR SUITCASES ON THERE. IT'S NOT NICE TO LEAVE THEM ON THE FLOOR! THEN YOU CAN PUT YOUR SHOES ETC UNDERNEATH OUT OF THE WAY. ALSO, EVEN THOUGH WE STAYED ON THE 17TH FLOOR AND GIVEN THE CITY VIEW., (THE VIEW IS NICE) BUT THE "NOISE" OF THE CITY TRAFFIC DOWN BELOW WOKE US UP AT 6.30 WHICH WAS VERY ANNOYING. WE WERE GETTING UP EARLY ANYWAY, WHICH WAS FINE, BUT NOT IF YOU WANTED TO SLEEP IN! MAYBE THE PARK VIEW SIDE IS QUIETER, AND WE WILL ASK FOR THAT SIDE THE NEXT TIME WE COME BACK.

I’ve just had another wonderful stay at SO/ Bangkok, a place that has been my go-to destination for over 11 years. I’ve already booked my next stay, and it’s safe to say this hotel continues to exceed my expectations. At the forefront of its charm is the incredible staff—warm, attentive, and always ready to cater to your needs. Their genuine Thai hospitality shines from every corner, making you feel truly cared for from the moment you arrive. SO/ Bangkok’s unique touches continue to impress: from the delightful scent of the shampoo and shower gel to the cozy and stylish dark hallways of the Water Element. The views from the large window fronts in every room are stunning, especially in my favorite Earth Element corner rooms with a breathtaking view of Lumpini Park. While I was initially placed in a Water Element room with a city view, I was kindly offered a mid-stay room change to my preferred Earth Element corner room, which I truly appreciated. The calming ambiance and stylish design of Water Element remain favorites, but nothing compares to the views from Earth Element, with its expansive windows and calming park vista. I’m also delighted to report that the breakfast service at Red Oven, which had disappointed me back in 2022, has returned to the high standard I expect. The staff have regained their warmth and attentiveness, ensuring a wonderful dining experience each morning. The hotel has aged gracefully, maintaining its modern, stylish appeal, but I feel that some areas, like the sauna in the male changing room at So/Fit, could use a refresh. It’s disappointing that the sauna and the shower experience haven’t been maintained—the shower was broken in 2022 and remains in the same state during my 2024 stay. I hope this gets addressed soon, as these details are key to SO/'s otherwise impeccable reputation. Despite these small concerns, the thoughtful details at SO/ Bangkok continue to make every stay special.

Breakfast is amazing, all you can expect from a top breakfast buffet in Bangkok mixing asian and European food. The hotel is well situated, close to the LUMPHINI Metro so It's easy to go both quickly to Chinatown up west or go north back to Sukhumvit. Room is spacious and clean, nothing to say.

The swimming pool was underwhelming. It's not well oriented so you never get any sun on it and the water is really cold. Plus the worse part is the noise - there are motor engines making a constant and HUGE noise that makes it very unpleasant to relax there. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking to be able to enjoy some time at the swimming pool. The rooftop also feels a bit tired - decoration is used and not mind-blowing.

We were on a bicycle trip from Singapore to Bangkok and finally made it to the hotel after dark and in pouring rain! I was a little hesitant because of my cycling aspect but was immediately taken by the kind warm welcome I received by everyone from the valets outside, to the bellmen and reception desk! In general all over Thailand most places were extremely welcoming but when you arrive wet and buzzing from a 100 mile biking day crossing a huge city, I was impressed by the warmth and kindness from everyone at SO/ Bangkok.

Never found the switch to turn off one of the ceiling lights!

Modern style hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar is very cool! Breakfast is large and varied. Room was large and quiet, the bath tub fantastic. We had access to the executive lounge area - they served complimentary cocktails and afternoon tea daily. We also chose to have breakfast up their on our last morning, wish we did that sooner! Very pleasant and comfortable spot to sit.

The food at breakfast had limited healthy options - eg, no muesli or plain greek yoghurt. Lots of sugary foods and pastries - yum! But would've enjoyed some healthier sweet options too.

This hotel is perfectly situated in Bangkok. The location is great for quick access to public transport and a short walk from the centre of Siam and all the shopping. The hotel itself is beautiful with a picturesque infinity pool over Lumphini Park. We loved having a beautiful rooftop swim each night looking over the city and the park; it was the highlight of our trip. The view was immaculate and the room themselves were beautiful and spacious. Definitely would recommend for a first time in Bangkok

We found the multiple lifts to access your room annoying. We also found the decor a bit too funky for our liking. These are very personal preferences though and in no way reflect on the overall high quality of this hotel.

The view of lumpini park was really nice and relaxing! There was a coffee shop in the lobby. Loved the breakfast buffet. Stayed for 6 days but with so much food choices in bangkok to try, it’s okay to avail of the buffet once or twice on a lazy day to go out. Breakfast choices had a relatively good variation. Loved the egg station and smoothie stations. The staff were very accommodating. They allowed early check in for our next preferred room. Sadly, all the water rooms were unavailable during our checkin time but Sir JH (?) was very nice and helpful with our inquiries. Location is relatively near a train line, but found myself booking grab/bolt rides more often and no longer availing a BTS card during my stay.

There was no nearby 7/11 unlike other hotels we have stayed at. Some of the furnitures feel a bit dated already.

There were three themes to the hotel room and I stayed in 18th floor with the park view which was wood. The room was spacious, clean and the staff was out of the whole and who would do and help with anything. On the 9th floor the bar was good!

The pool was not getting any sun so you had to go to the other side to tan. Not a lot of veggie or vegans options for lunch/dinner. I would recommend the hotel to share information about the events they are hosting on the evening via message on the tv and poster around the hotel.

Upmarket hotel in the embassy area. Very nice rooms (especially bathrooms), great view. Delicious food via room service. Pools is not big but nice. Great views from the rooftop bar. The breakfast is fantastic!

The reception and check-in area are a bit confusing (some desks are on the groundfloor, some are on the upper floors). Upon departure, the hotel was not able or willing to book a taxi and could offer only their in-house limousine service, so that one is essentially left to hailing a taxi from the street or just using the Grab app (which works - but I would have expected more support from such a fancy hotel). Reception staff was curt.

The breakfast was really nice. I think that was one of the nicest hotel breakfast I had in a while! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were really nice and friendly. The location is also very good, 4min from the subway and 15min from the BTS station.

There is not much to do around the hotel if you are a little lazy one day. You have to at least go to the BTS station 15 min away or go to one or two subway stations away.
