From the moment I stepped into this hotel, I knew I had made the perfect choice! Nestled in the heart of the “City of Stone,” The room was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, blending traditional Gjirokastrian style with modern comforts. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and every detail, from the high-quality linens to the ambient lighting, was thoughtfully designed to create a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was another highlight! Being served traditional local delicacies like freshly, products made for a delightful start to the day. The staff was outstanding – always smiling, attentive, and ready to assist with anything. Their recommendations for local attractions and activities were spot-on and made our trip even more enjoyable! The location was ideal for exploring the city – close to all major landmarks yet tucked away enough to provide peace and quiet. If you’re planning a trip to Gjirokastër, this hotel is the perfect choice for an authentic and relaxing experience. I will definitely be coming back!

Everything! It's a beautiful building situated in the heart of the historic old town. Tastefully renovated with modern equipments and classic traditional touches. The hosts are very welcoming, friendly and willing to help with everything. Spacious, cosy, warm room with a comfortable bed and spotlessly clean beddings and bathroom. Breakfast is delicious, plenty and everything fresh. Will definitely be back and I recommend this place to everyone who wants to get e real taste of Gjirokaster.

The view from the breakfast room was stunning, and the breakfast was very nice with plenty of variety. The Managers of this beautiful old/modern hotel were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were beautiful with feature stone finishes. The Hotel is a "good" walk into the Old Town, but don't let that deter you as my husband and I did it several times and we coped, we are 70!!

The rooms are beautifully designed and were very comfortable for our family of four. Breakfast was great and enjoying it on the sunny terrace with beautiful views made it a really nice experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was still closed in April. When we did bring some takeaway food back one night however the staff set the table on the terrace and provided plates and cutlery which was really appreciated and more than we expected. We liked the locations which is just a few minutes walk away from the old town but far enough away from the crowds and noise. Overall nothing negative to point out and a hotel that can be fully recommended.

You can in general not avoid stairs and hills in Gjirokaster. That also goes for this hotel and you will need to climb stairs if you stay here. Just worth keeping in mind.

An amazing property with a beautiful terrace garden and views. The property has lots of steps so if one has mobility issues this might not be the best option. The staff is very helpful and accomodating.We were helped by the staff to carry our luggage upstairs and also they helped park our car for us. The room itself is gorgeous with beautiful decor, lovely views and with all the important basic facilities including a kettle in the room. There is a shortcut to the old town bazaar, around a 10 min walk, it is a slight uphill but very much manageable. The breakfast is a traditional Albania breakfast. Overall an amazing stay.

We were on a Balkan road trip and Argyrokastro was our first stop in Albania, right over the Greek border, so we really didn't know what to expect. We booked the hotel because of the proximity to the old town and the castle and were positively surprised by the quality of the room, the friendliness and the helpfulness of the staff from the moment we arrived. We stayed just for a night, in the morning we had breakfast, which was plenty, tasty, freshly prepared and served with care.

The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The hotel is new or newly renovated and everything is clean and functional. The vista from our room to the mountains beyond Gjirokaster was beautiful. Breakfast on the patio was delightful -an outstanding view and the food and coffee rose to the same heights! The Castle, Old Bazaar and other attractions were a short walk up the steep cobblestoned lanes from the back of the hotel. We loved our stay here (2 nights) and would stay there again.

Not much. The parking is down on the street and it’s not exactly clear where you should park so check in with the hotel first. The access lane to the front of the hotel is tricky to negotiate and better not to go up there unless you absolutely have to. There are quite a lot of steps and no lift. Staff helped us with our bags and it didn’t detract from our stay but if you have mobility issues it would be an issue.

Location: The property is situated up a small hill with somewhat steep stairs, making it a bit challenging to carry heavy luggage. However, it’s still very close to the bazaar (about 10 minutes on foot) and just a short uphill walk to the castle. Despite its proximity to the main attractions, the area is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Although the property is a bit tricky to find, one of the staff members, who also helped carry our luggage up the stairs, came down to greet us and show us the parking spot, which, while extremely convenient for travelers with a car, is located down the road, not directly on the property. Staff: The staff were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist with helpful information and suggestions. They made the experience even more enjoyable, and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. They also recommended a local restaurant that we deeply enjoyed. Rooms: The room was very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements, and a bathroom that exceeded our expectations. Breakfast: The breakfast was very satisfying, offering a superb variety of freshly made, high-quality dishes. It was incredibly fulfilling, providing a great start to the day.

Overall, highly recommended! The only slight downside was the heat and sound insulation—we noticed a slight cold breeze when the air conditioning was off, and there was some noise from neighboring rooms. While this wasn't a major issue, it’s worth mentioning for those sensitive to temperature or noise.

Our stay in this hotel was outstanding! Room was spacious, clean with comfortable beds and welcoming water in minibar. Breakfast are served, very delicious and they serve fresh orange juice (not usual). Terrace is awesome with nice view. Hotel is seen from distance, easily accesible. They help you with luggages and park your car. City centre is about 15min, they will show you shortcut, it is very steep uphill as all city is. There was the best staff ever, so nice, helpfull, polite, attentive. Just stay here and you will see :)

- The location was good. High up a small hill and about 10 min walk from the old town of Girokaster - The room was tastefully done and fairly large in size for our kids to play about - The hotel beakfast was very good with eggs to order, pancakes, fresh oranje juice etc - The hotel bar was open till late and we enjoyed a quiet drink while our kids were playing in the room above

- The parking was an issue. We arrived at the hotel and they told us they would park our car for us. We had an incident with the manager who parked our rental vehicle in a spot which had a stub of a tree sticking out that ruptured our tyre. When I picked up the car the next morning the tyre was a little flat and leaking air and on closer inspection I could see the rupture. When questioned he said this was not done by him but it was, as the car was perfect the previous night. It caused a 45 min delay for us when we were leaving the next day as I needed to get the tyre worked on. He's probably parked hundreds of cars over the years and this may have never happened before so while it was a mistake and can happen to anyone I would have liked him to come clean, thats all.
