Araluen Motor Lodge from our point of view was excellent. Literally across the road from Corrigans beach and 3 minute walk to Batehaven shops where several eating options and cafes are to be found. Rooms are a good size, recently renovated by the looks of it. Light and fresh looking. Staff ( Deb and Julie, particularly) were great to deal with. A 12 out of 10 for their service!!

We personally couldn’t fault anything.

Nice,clean room opposite the beach

Unfortunately there was a large family group occupying around 60% of the property that were noisy,argumentative and made the beautiful pool area there own for the afternoon and into the night. Also a very trouble mature aged women was staying there in “Emergency Accommodation” who constantly came to us for handouts and advice, very sad she is not in a good way. The Manager was advising her constantly to not bother other guests but the poor woman should have been in a medical facility not just a roof over her head

Great location, and proximity to main centre & other beaches in the area. Loved the relaxed vibes and ability to chill.

Rooms are non smoking, yet smokers can smoke outside the room. If you have adverse reaction to second hand smoke, speak with the management to determine if there is an appropriate room in the floor plan.

Very clean and convenient. Beds were in separate rooms. Decor modern and simple. Good blinds.

No soap available for use in the shower. Shower shelf is slightly sloped. Shower taps are behind water stream so temp adjustment is through hot or cold water. Light and fan switches could be separated to enable less noise when fan not required. Limited chairs (2).

The staff were friendly and very accommodating as my mother has a service dog. The room was clean, and it was in close proximity to the water, cafes and other attractions

There was sufficient cutlery and crockery supplied for the number of room occupants.

Beds were comfortable, kitchenette was well equipped. Rooms were clean. We stayed 3 nights and they thankfully changed out towels as it was difficult to dry them in the space we had.

We were 5 people between two rooms so found it hard to dry clothes and towels.

Debs on reception was always on hand to help and the owners are lovely too! They run a great lodge👍 Close proximity to Batemans Bay, local shops and restaurants but more importantly, the beach! Only a short drive to others as well. Sunrise at Corrigans though was so beautiful!

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the Araluen. The Batehaven shops though caught me out a few times with their early closing, especially the Bottleshop! 8pm by the way... 😄

Everything was clean and tidy. Deb was very helpful when ever we needed anything. The beds were super comfy. The mid stay clean missed the bathroom floor washing.

Only the mid stay clean...it was mostly done well. Rubbish removal was mostly done by us...an understanding of how that worked would have been helpful.

I have stayed here before. The room was everything I expected - clean, comfortable, well appointed with cooking equipment, parking at the door, etc. I also liked being greeted by the rather boisterous but friendly dog at reception!

It needs a little extra pizzazz to lift it from 'good' to 'exceptional' - for example, why not replace the usual standard biscuits, with some local artisan biscuits, chocolates or snack pack?

Fantastic location! right across the road from beach and kids park, walking distance to fish n chips and pizza. Easy parking on property, room was comfortable, clean and had everything you needed for a chill weekend away. Price was very reasonable, we would book again.

A sink in the living space would be great instead of having to use the bathroom sink to wash dishes, but I understand they are small rooms.
