The hotel is an old 70s style motel that has been done up. The room was nice but didn't have a kitchen sink (didn't notice when booking as did have kettle etc and hotels dont always list this).

The town of batemans bay/batehaven is not particularly nice and there arent a lot of restaurants close to the hotel or delivering. The 'cantina' is literally 2 vending machines with chips and drinks. When I booked it mentioned you could buy alcohol but when we arrived it wasnt available (vending machine prices would have been steep anyway). I wish I had more information on the parking situation at the hotel before I booked as it is pretty tight with not enough parks for all the rooms. You can park across the road in public parks near the beach but who wants to walk across a dual lane road to get to your car. At the time we stayed, there was a carnival set up so this wasn't a very safe option.Of course, my new car was damaged by a careless guest on our last day - not a good end to the trip.

The Isla was such a gem! Easy digital check in and out, great rooms that were really well considered and decorated. The cantina was a great touch for snacks and drinks and the pool area was super cute!

Due to having a chronic health disability, it would be great to know prior to arriving that we were on the upper level as the only option was to use the stairs. Having this notification will make it easier for elderly folks or folks with disabilities to know in advance :)

What a little gem of a place! Travelling on a motorbike for one month so trying to find affordable accommodation and comfort is not easy. This place was amazing and affordable, could easily stay here for a holiday. All the little things that made this place special….. the bed and pillows (omg best ever) accessories in the bathroom (lemon Myrtle body wash and shampoo, conditioner) beautiful touch 👍 styling of the apartment spot on👍 and the added touch with robes 👍👍👍 the pool area with music playing 👍👍👍 loved this place, would definitely stay again if back in the area!!! Thankyou Isla, you did not disappoint 👍👍👍 10/10 from us!!

Everything was pretty great! It was a little expensive for the area. But it was by far the nicest place to stay.

There is one pet friendly room. Both full days we were there the guests from those rooms had their dogs in the pool area. One was letting their dog swim in the pool and the other had a very lively dog that made it hard to move around the pool area without getting jumped on. I’m not sure if the hotel expects that guests will do this. Perhaps either be clearer that this is not allowed or clearer to other guests that they need to share common areas with dogs. For the price it probably should be expected that you don’t need to share the small relaxing area with dogs!

As a solo traveller I honestly thought that this was a place that was perfect for the location since you are close to multiple beaches. Close to Batemans Bay city centre by driving. Down the road was a really good Cafe that I would recommend and you can get there by walking. Plenty of food and drink options around whether it's a local grocery, takeaway or restaurants. The room was spacious for just myself and would be perfect for a couple.

The door to get into the bathroom needs to open up more as it only opens up partially. The vending machine needs abit more variety. Otherwise I was happy overall and content with the stay.

This was our best place to stay on our recent road trip down the coast . Great size room with a smart layout. Everything is new and fresh with awesome decor. Soaps and shampoo as well as tea/coffee is high end. Bed was large and super comfortable for us. Also loved the beautiful chill room with a fire place, Catina room with filtered water and thoughtful items in the vending machines, as well as the lovely pool and BBQ area. 10/10

As others have noted the shower wets the floor area a bit near sink area. But this was not a big issue for us, we just put a spare towel down. Everything else outshines this little issue.

Beautiful presentation, the furnishings are super cool! (Like me 😉) We enjoyed the pool and ate our heat pizza (great recommendation) in the pool room while we watched a screen mirrored Netflix movie, so comfy just like home! Bed was super comfy and we slept well, the room was nice and quiet, loved the block out double layer curtains too. The complimentary coffee and tea was fantastic and we appreciated the quality of the brands. Nespresso and Smeg appliances were a great touch. Love love, we will be back!

Driving in the beautiful colour pallette soothes after a long drive. The room is large, with everything we needed for our stay. Super comfortable beds, snazzy bathroom with a rain head shower and delicious Leif products, and plenty of space to tuck things away and relax. The pool felt like I’d flown to an island party with cool tunes and colourful birds in surrounding trees. The pool house looks inviting with a log fire and the Cantina was visited many times by my little man. What a selection! The wonderful staff were so accommodating and friendly and made me feel like a queen. Thank you for a wonderful break. Definitely coming back!

I have stayed at the Isla about 6 times now. It is clean and has fresh decor after a complete renovation of the site about 2 years ago. The styling is simple and functional with a well applied touch of style. Check-in is generally electronic and you get a PIN code for the door. This has been great for the times when I have arrived into Batemans Bay late, when most motel receptions would be closed. The “Cantina” has sparkling and still water on tap and a vending machine for pretty well any travel necessity you could need. There’s even a very well stocked drinks vending machine with a great collection of soft and not so soft drinks and snacks.

Nothing not to like.

The customer service was a definite highlight for me especially when we had an emergency and ended up leaving our previously booked accommodation. We called up the emergency Line at midnight And spoke to an amazing lady named cass who was accommodating and made our stressful night just a little better. Whenever we had an issue, she always answered the calls and she was friendly, courteous and professional. Also, the cleaning staff were wonderful to deal with. They always go past extras if we asked for it and the room was very clean and better than I expected.
