The hotel is an old 70s style motel that has been done up. The room was nice but didn't have a kitchen sink (didn't notice when booking as did have kettle etc and hotels dont always list this).

The town of batemans bay/batehaven is not particularly nice and there arent a lot of restaurants close to the hotel or delivering. The 'cantina' is literally 2 vending machines with chips and drinks. When I booked it mentioned you could buy alcohol but when we arrived it wasnt available (vending machine prices would have been steep anyway). I wish I had more information on the parking situation at the hotel before I booked as it is pretty tight with not enough parks for all the rooms. You can park across the road in public parks near the beach but who wants to walk across a dual lane road to get to your car. At the time we stayed, there was a carnival set up so this wasn't a very safe option.Of course, my new car was damaged by a careless guest on our last day - not a good end to the trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Isla! The location was great, very easy to get around and close to some lovely beaches and cafes. The room was very comfortable with some very thoughtful touches including the St Ali coffee, T2 selections, access to filtered and sparkling water, as well as the Leif body wash and lotions. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we had a question they got back to us very quickly and were happy to help out. Easy digital check in.

The inset PowerPoints near the bed were not able to take the plugs for all our devices due to the shape. The staff were helpful in finding a temporary solution but perhaps having adaptor on hand would be an idea.

The Isla was such a gem! Easy digital check in and out, great rooms that were really well considered and decorated. The cantina was a great touch for snacks and drinks and the pool area was super cute!

Due to having a chronic health disability, it would be great to know prior to arriving that we were on the upper level as the only option was to use the stairs. Having this notification will make it easier for elderly folks or folks with disabilities to know in advance :)

What a little gem of a place! Travelling on a motorbike for one month so trying to find affordable accommodation and comfort is not easy. This place was amazing and affordable, could easily stay here for a holiday. All the little things that made this place special….. the bed and pillows (omg best ever) accessories in the bathroom (lemon Myrtle body wash and shampoo, conditioner) beautiful touch 👍 styling of the apartment spot on👍 and the added touch with robes 👍👍👍 the pool area with music playing 👍👍👍 loved this place, would definitely stay again if back in the area!!! Thankyou Isla, you did not disappoint 👍👍👍 10/10 from us!!

It was a beautiful little place, like a motel but much fancier and well looked after. The bright orange colour made the place look really nice, the details in the room like a bottle of wine as I mentioned to Cass that our visit was a late birthday celebration for my husband. It was easy check in process! I wish all hotels would have a similar and easy check in process. It was a very pleasant stay, near the beach, down the road from the golf club, walking distance to amazing cafes and fresh seafood.

There's not much not to like!!

As a solo traveller I honestly thought that this was a place that was perfect for the location since you are close to multiple beaches. Close to Batemans Bay city centre by driving. Down the road was a really good Cafe that I would recommend and you can get there by walking. Plenty of food and drink options around whether it's a local grocery, takeaway or restaurants. The room was spacious for just myself and would be perfect for a couple.

The door to get into the bathroom needs to open up more as it only opens up partially. The vending machine needs abit more variety. Otherwise I was happy overall and content with the stay.

Everything was pretty great! It was a little expensive for the area. But it was by far the nicest place to stay.

There is one pet friendly room. Both full days we were there the guests from those rooms had their dogs in the pool area. One was letting their dog swim in the pool and the other had a very lively dog that made it hard to move around the pool area without getting jumped on. I’m not sure if the hotel expects that guests will do this. Perhaps either be clearer that this is not allowed or clearer to other guests that they need to share common areas with dogs. For the price it probably should be expected that you don’t need to share the small relaxing area with dogs!

This was our best place to stay on our recent road trip down the coast . Great size room with a smart layout. Everything is new and fresh with awesome decor. Soaps and shampoo as well as tea/coffee is high end. Bed was large and super comfortable for us. Also loved the beautiful chill room with a fire place, Catina room with filtered water and thoughtful items in the vending machines, as well as the lovely pool and BBQ area. 10/10

As others have noted the shower wets the floor area a bit near sink area. But this was not a big issue for us, we just put a spare towel down. Everything else outshines this little issue.

Beautiful presentation, the furnishings are super cool! (Like me 😉) We enjoyed the pool and ate our heat pizza (great recommendation) in the pool room while we watched a screen mirrored Netflix movie, so comfy just like home! Bed was super comfy and we slept well, the room was nice and quiet, loved the block out double layer curtains too. The complimentary coffee and tea was fantastic and we appreciated the quality of the brands. Nespresso and Smeg appliances were a great touch. Love love, we will be back!

Liked the styling and the extra appliances like toaster. Ice machine in the Cantina was good, perhaps some sign above about how to work or refill. Observation point near by had great signage of the views and the indigenous names for the flora and fauna.

The openness of the shower meant that everything between shower and handbasin got very wet.
