Abode Malua is perfectly positioned about 10 minutes from Batemans Bay. Malua Bay is a great spot for families with little kids. Abode offers a simple yet beautiful experience. Both housekeeping and reception staff are kind and helpful. The rooms are great size and the bathroom with washer + dryer was fabulous. The kitchen is well appointed to cook easy recipes. We highly recommend Sawaan (Thai Restaurant near Batemans Bay) and Innes Boatshed (Fish & Chips) for main meals. We have stayed here before and will be back again.

Hinterland Rooms are actually pretty great value. Although there is only one lift, it’s easily manageable to take stairs (unless you require pram access).

Fantastic location. Clean room. Useful kitchen space. Very comfortable bed. Helpful and friendly staff.

Dogs allowed to stay. Some people had two dogs. They soiled the corridor and barked at night and crowded the lift often making it stinky. The whole building smelled strongly of carpet deodoriser. The entry foyer is tiny and crammed with fridges etc. This makes access to and from the lift difficult and unsafe. Consider locating the fridges in the carpark just outside side door to improve this. Showers don’t have screens so floors get covered in water. This is dangerous and will damage the structure. I ended up going off site to shower. If not possible to fix doors, suggest putting a sweep mop like used around indoor pools in bathrooms between shower and vanity so guests could push the water towards drain in floor before stepping out of shower.

Amenities: Efficient Working washer and dryer, kitchenette with enough kitchen tools to make home cooked meals since there are very few local option to eat out around the location. Clean and Well Appointed: No complaints, had everything I would expect in towels and toiletries for a 4 Star Accommodation and nothing unnecessary. Stunning Location: Having a balcony and waking up to one of the most stunning views on the Sydney coast. Secure parking and access: Felt Safe at all times. And covered parking is a plus. Pet Friendly: My two pups are well trained and clean and the accommodation didn’t feel like untrained pets had been there previously. This should be commended as the rooms were pet friendly but up to cleanliness standards. Even all the toilets and grassy parks in front of the property were well maintained and clean. Lots of clean areas to walk my dogs as well. Bonus: Offered a $10 Voucher for accommodation offered Snacks and Bar items. Friendly staff and people: Everyone was helpful and hospitable. Also, I stayed on a weekday and enjoyed plenty of privacy.

The area is great, and I can see this place being a hit with families, mostly which were there when we went too. The park opposite has play equipment and a equipped facilities for beach goers. (showers, toilets, change areas, etc.) Decent amount of parking and easy walk to beach and round the corner to local shops (IGA style) makes a great benefit. A club is not far away, within walking distance, although we drove as we were unsure how far and the weather was 'concerning' to us. It was still a good place to visit and we enjoyed the atmosphere there. Staff were polite and really helpful, appreciated their presence when I interacted with them. Was overall a good experience.

Ok, with an IGA round the corner, offering food and that in the lobby at pretty high pricing, isn't a great move... perhaps when the IGA is closed, sure - but that would be about the time the front desk may be closed too. So maybe consider this a little? Same items from round corner, but a lot more expensive. Another 'smaller' issue, as I cannot speak for all rooms, but our room - the shower had no door and it seems a bit silly with the way the room is laid out.

Amazing location. Spacious rooms with good amenities - exactly as described. Blackout curtains. Private parking. Good base to access all the surrounding tourist areas, etc. Easy check-in/out. Had a lift so easy access to upper floors. Beautiful ocean view. Good value for money. Nice selection of snacks/drinks in the lobby.

Can get a little noisy with the restaurant and cafè directly underneath and the playground area opposite. Nothing to complain about but good to know if you're a light sleeper like I am. Nothing earplugs wouldn't fix. Also, note that you have to create an account/provide your details to use their WiFi and google cast/ tv.

Easy access to wonderful accommodation! Well located for my needs with easy free parking, the greeting by reception staff was great. I was even given an unexpected voucher for food and drinks. The room was spacious to my great delight. Warm !! They had the heater in for me! The bed was super comfy with good pillows. The bathroom was good with products supplied. The kitchen with coffee making facilities was not used but next time! I didn’t use the late check out but what a great offer! Thank you Abode! Hope I didn’t forget anything.

Not one thing.

The view was absolutely stunning and it was so lovely waking up to a gorgeous sunrise on the beach. The room was very clean and the stay was very comfortable ☺️ Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

At times the couch was quite uncomfortable to sit on and the bedroom was a bit warm, even with the air conditioning. Most of the time we kept the sliding open to let in the fresh air, however it would have been nice to have a fly screen to avoid any of those pesky bugs coming in. Additionally, this was just in our room but the toaster was unclean and seemed overused but otherwise a pleasant and welcoming stay :)

we love the view, the location, the room, our bed and the friendly staff and fact that we can enjoy all these with our beloved pet was extra!

the bathroom in our room is not what i expected. the shower had no door or curtain. every time we shower or wash up the water floods the whole bathroom. Unsafe when you wake up in the middle of the night to use the toilet as the floor is wet and can be slippery. Also not a good feeling to be stepping on a wet floor then walk out with wet feet. However, know that this didn’t ruin our stay . our room was clean. we would still come back and we love this hotel.

We booked the standard twin/double room (the cheapest at our time of booking) and it was huge! Two double beds, a little dining table, and just plenty of space, not cramped at all. There was a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom and detergent sachets. Our stay here was the last night of our trip so we didn't use the laundry facilities but that's just so handy to have so had to mention! The shampoo and conditioner also looked really nice, not the usual 2-in-1 hotels often do that leaves your hair feeling pretty gross. I didn't need to wash my hair so didn't use it but it looked nice and just the fact that it wasn't 2-in-1 is a bonus at a hotel. When we were booking this was also one of the best priced hotels so we were surprised it was so nice. Also, great park across the road if you have kids.

Overnight we could hear a fan or something on, it was relatively loud, so that was annoying. And even though it was the middle of winter it was quite hot in the room overnight, so we had to put the air con on. This made the air really dry. We would have opened the balcony door for some fresh cold air, but there weren't any screen doors so we couldn't do that. So just a bit uncomfortable because of that overnight. We were adjusting the aircon temp. throughout the night as we just couldn't get it right (always we'd end up too hot or too cold).

We got there in a storm it was smooth and easy to book in. My only problem was I didn’t no they allowed dogs. You could hear one. And a faint smell of animals. And when you had a good look while the room was big is was only surface clean if you looked carefully you could see bed side table wasn’t dusted properly you could clearly see were lamp wasn’t moved. Be aware if you’re old or disabled there are no shower doors. So water is in the floor every were. For the money I don’t want to spend my night mopping on holidays.
