A lovely motel, very stylish and modern and well planned. We had an executive room upstairs with a arge bedroom and bathroom, and a covered balcony where you could sit and enjoy a coffee from the coffee machine. There is a huge sliding glass door to the.balcony.. There was no fly screen but we weren’t bothered with any bugs. The “kitchen” facilities were nicely planned, as is the whole place. It is classy, and beautifully decorated with gorgeous abstract art, and beautiful furnishings - obviously they have used an interior decorator and it shows. Plenty of parking outside, comfortable bed, huge shower with lots of hot water. Quality bathroom products. It is a 10 minute walk to the Main Street and just a short walk across the car parks to the Old Club Bar where you can get pub type food, which was OK but next time we’ll go back into the town to the lovely Thai restaurant, assuming it’s still there. All communication with staff is via text, and uses codes for entry. It went seamlessly enough. This is a cut above the usual motel fare, you pay for it but it’s worth it.

The bathroom tap was a bit stiff - may need valve replacement. The only issue that they some people might find, is that they don’t really encourage eating in the room in as much as that there is only one inside chair, a small round table, no toaster or microwave or any crockery apart from cups and saucers.

We were surprised at how contemporary and comfortable the hotel was for our one night stay. Recently built or recently renovated and just very nice place to stay. Our room was spacious, had a great aspect to the street view with trees and historic church across the road. Staff were lovely. The bedding was comfortable, bathroom was well sized, sufficient amenities. We used the balcony which had a nice aspect. If I was staying in town longer, I'd be happy to have had more nights here.

Old Bar is not a cliche tourist destination, but it is a perfect out of the way destination for winding down and surfing. Good take away, couple of clubs/pubs, friendly people and a great long beach - I'm sure there is good fishing too! Because of this laid back vibe I was blown away by the accomodation and the friendly and helpful woman who greeted me after a long day's drive. They've had a refurb and the fixtures are amazing, the bed is sumptious- I slept in! And the adjacent club serves a mean schnitzel. Ten out of ten recommend!!

There was nothing they could've done better

It was nice and clean. We stayed 2 nights. I booked one through Booking.com and added an extra night directly with the motel. I had no housekeeping and didn't see any staff. when I came back the next day the bed wasn't made and they didn't change the towel either. even though it was Christmas season I think they should have made the bed and changed the towels. 😔

Easy to find. Was sent a text with the code for the front door and room. Room was large and had everything we needed. The towels were large ( one of my pet hates when they are too small!) and the bed very comfortable . Excellent stay, will certainly be back.

No lift so it was a struggle to get up the stairs with a heavy case and multiple bags The door code to the room took several attempts before it worked

The complimentary member card to the nearby club is genius! Location. Easy check-in, very modern, the guest amenities in bathroom were fabulous. Laundry. Parking. WiFi. Room facilities like coffee machine etc. Good air con and TV.

Entering a code every time you go in and out of your room. Strange thing in the bathroom wall that we couldn't determine what it does and it had gaffa tape over it. Hairs on the ceiling?!?.

A big surprise, never been here before and just stopped on the way through on a road trip. Was amazing to find this place, lovely, clean quiet. Great location and whilst we only had time for a look at the beach it really looked like a lovely spot. Will be back

It was all fantastic

The beds were so soft! And the heating worked amazingly!

We loved our stay and the service! However I will note for future families with children, there is no manual locks inside on the front door, so small children can pull down on the handle and open the door to get out. We wedged a chair underneath the handle to solve this during our stay.

Very nice newer hotel. Large room with nice bathroom and balcony. Easy key less entry to hotel and room so you can check in even if no one is at front desk. Close to a few little restaurants and supermarket, great stop over for trip from Gold Coast to Sydney. Guy was extremely friendly and ready to help at moments notice at reception.

Bed is super comfy but a bit softer for my liking

It's a new, comfortable motel which is well-maintained and very clean. There is a club next door which serves food, but it was extremely busy on the night we were there so we ate elsewhere.

It was great to have access to a microwave, but perhaps the motel could provide some plates and cutlery to go with it.
