Comfortable bed in which we enjoyed a good night's sleep. A good size room. Having the option of either a couch or seats. A good size bathroom and large shower with excellent water pressure. The availability of a generous continental breakfast.

Placement of the air conditioner blowing its air across the bed, (although we acknowledge that there really was no where else for this to be installed and it as good to have it). The metal lip of the bathroom floor where it meets the floor of the room itself was "sharp" - painful if stood on.

I could hear the sound of a vibrating phone from the next room until late at night. I believe it was due to the phone being placed on the wall-mounted bedside table, which seemed to amplify the vibration noise. It made it very hard for me and my wife to fall asleep. Also, although the air conditioner didn’t seem old, it made ticking noises (like "tik tik") while running in heating mode during the night, which was quite disturbing.

From the moment we arrived for our 3 night stay to the very last minute, everything was above and beyond our expectations. Lisa on reception was very welcoming and spent allot of time explaining where to shop, eat and relax. We bought a couple of bottles of Sav Blanc from her which were chilled to perfection and were absolutely top quality. We enjoyed a bottle in the back garden which has AMAZING views of the river. Here we were greeted by 2 gorgeous lizards that apparantly call the garden their home. The unit itself was immaculate. Very clean and spacious and even had a coffee pod machine. Shops and restaurants were all within walking distance. Thanks Lisa for such a wonderful stay. We will definitely recommend to family and friends and we'll definitely make this our home when visiting Taree again. Thanks again Daria

I stayed at the Marco Polo during the Taree Floods, and despite the fact the whole street was flooded the Marco Polo stayed dry and kept us comfortable during our time in Taree. Harry the owner did everything he could to make us comfortable despite numerous things being out of his control. It wasn’t the week we had planned but I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Taree.

The room was spacious, nicely decorated and amazing value for the price. I particularly noted the nice, fluffy towels! The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The location was in easy walking distance of the local hotel, which was very popular and serves good quality meals. All in all, it was a welcome and relaxing first stopover on our journey home from Sydney to Brisbane.

When we arrived, the owner gave us 2 bottles of cold water ; very pleasant on the hot day. Since we arrived early, I was able to choose a car park in the shade. My wife really liked the set up of the room. There was a walkway down to a grassed area by the river. A very nice barbecue area was available for guests to cook their tea. The owner suggested a place close by for dinner which we had a rather good meal.

Comfortable bed. Spacious, light room. Good shower. Room was old (tiles, cupboards etc) but clean and fresh! Lovely warm, friendly welcome when I arrived. Grateful for low scent, i.e. there was no strong perfume or detergent/cleaning smells on entering the room or on the sheets!

Minor things: Blue light on power panel beside bed. There was no detergent or tea towel for plate/cup/cutlery cleaning.

A good option for an overnight stay. Older motel style property but has had a freshen up with comfy beds, nice linen and the room was very clean. A friendly greeting at reception as well. Thank you!

A very minor thing was being up on the second floor but overall there was nothing that stood out - a nice clean property to stay at.

The staff was very helpful and did everything to accommodate our stay. They happily met us with a smile on a later-than-expected arrival, which was really appreciated.

The room was clean, but it needed a little more tidying to be in the expected condition. The bathroom felt a little dated for this motel's price point, but that is really nitpicking.

I was only there overnight, arriving in the evening and leaving at 0930, but staff were wonderful, bed was comfy and shower was excellent.

The sheets did have a slightly unusual smell to them - I presume it was the washing powder. Also the bed side cabinets have a very sticky varnish on their surfaces, which everything stuck to.
