Perfect location close to all the attractions of the Rocks, Circular Quay and the Opera House. Also close to the delightful Barangaroo precinct. Easy to walk or to take public transport to anywhere in the city you wish. Enjoyed cocktails at Happy Hour outside overlooking the harbour. The bedroom and public areas were remarkably quiet given their proximity to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Good breakfast choice. Also appreciated the odd unexpected freebie - a delicious oyster one day, a gorgeous mini cupcake and glass of bubbly (two actually) on St Valentine's Day. Nice casual vibe. Would definitely stay again.

Just a few niggles: not much wardrobe space, a nuisance having to manage with two taps when we're so accustomed to a single one, bigger mugs for tea would have been nice. But these are minor points.

We chose Pier one for a couple of reasons. Firstly we knew the place well having been there twice before. Notably 10 years ago for our 30 year wedding anniversary and it just seemed right that we repeated the occasion on the same note. We completed a cruise and stayed on in Sydney for a three nights just like we did 10 years ago. Although we didn't get a upgrade to a water view this time, we have no complaints as it was Easter as well and upgrades are difficult to get at this time. Very grateful for the bottle of bubbles waiting for us. All in all, Pier one is one of our favorite places.

Note much to complain about when you stay ay such a lovely place, with great staff and the best location in Sydney.

Great to have a coffee pod machine in the room, but no milk frother or any means to heat milk. Bath tub is a luxurious feature but how about supplying some salts to add to the water - surely wouldn't be a huge expense for a couple of sachets but a very nice touch. The gas fires at the main entrance had a clear safety screen around which was held together with zip ties- very unprofessional looking

it was beautiful - the staff were incredible, really helpful - and honestly couldn't do enough for us.

We booked the accessible room. and whilst the room was really lovely, the accessible features fell a little short if I'm honest. the lift was broken in the main reception area - that takes you up to the main floor (where you'll find the bar and the dining area - but I should stress - the staff were incredibly helpful - with the ramp) - the room had the tiniest of ramps to get to the bathroom, but even something tiny - impacts independence. there was no shelving to accommodate the necessary soaps and shampoos and what-have-you - I often suggest the interior designers should really consult someone who's disabled (in my partners instance) wheelchair bound - to truly address the needs of the user. whilst we genuinely loved our stay - the little details make the real difference.

Great staff, awesome food especially breakfast and breathtaking location on the harbour. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully maintained.

After our departure we were emailed being accused of removing a shampoo bottle and bodywash bottle from the room by a housekeeping manager which was completely false and at $500 a night I'm not sure hotel shampoo would be on to many guests bucket lists I understand that possibly does happen on occasions but certainly not on this occasion. We were not billed for the items, but being accused of something we wouldn't think to do has soured our stay. In saying this would we return, yes. We have stayed at the property prior to this recent stay and will return but mindful of our departure.

The location is its biggest draw. Situated almost directly under the Harbour Bridge Edge on Pier One, it offers stunning views, especially from the Juliet balconies overlooking the old STC and the pier across the water. While the staff were fine, I’ve found that service in Australia can be hit or miss overall. However, if you decide to book this hotel, I highly recommend choosing a room with a Juliet balcony for the best experience. The views of Hickson Rd and the rocks are simply beautiful. Plus, you’re only a hop, skip, and jump away from the ferry and the stunning Sydney Opera House! Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy what Sydney has to offer! --- Let me know if you want to make any more changes!

While the service could definitely use some improvement—specifically in terms of friendliness and kindness—it wasn’t the worst I’ve experienced. I did feel a bit overlooked during check-in, as the two girls at the front desk completely ignored me, and I’m a regular visitor to this hotel. I would have expected to be treated as a more valued customer. However, it’s still not a deal breaker for me. I love this location way too much to not stay here at least twice a year!

We had a room with a Juliette balcony overlooking the water. It was amazing the room was spacious, the bed was so comfy like a cloud and the whole atmosphere was amazing. The room had a coffee machine and all you needed. We were thrilled with Pier One. The staff made it extra special for my 50th birthday on this day. The staff GM Kim, gave us such a beautiful welcome when she was advised it was my 50th. The team at reception the dinner team , Liam our server, Anita and Prakriti were all so lovely. Kim even escorted me through a party and took some pictures of me for my special birthday under the harbour bridge which was extra special.

Nothing everything was great

The staff and public relations department, excellent in every way. We were very impressed with breakfast also.

This was my decision and an incorrect one however, when I was offered an upgrade for a small additional fee I accept it. My previous booking of the Juliette room had a balcony , my upgraded room only had air con as the windows were sealed . The view from the cheaper room has open doors and the same view . So for those who don’t like air con, choose the Juliette , it’s would be so much better .

The staff were friendly and offered us help with our luggage upon arrival and check out. They offered us refreshments when we arrived as well. The bed was so comfortable! We loved the quirkiness of the room, especially the massive old iron structure in the ceiling left over from the 1800's? Wish there was more about what the building was actually used for originally.

We paid for a "bridge view" room and were disappointed to find we could only see a very partial view of a span of the bridge. If we'd known this ahead of time we'd have been prepared for it. There was only one cup provided beside the coffee machine so we had to go out late in the evening to ask for another cup (which we were readily given). Neither of the cups fit under the coffee pod machine, but we made do. Also, we each would have liked to have breakfast in the restaurant, but didn't want to have the buffet, but we were told that was the only option other than room service.

We stay here because of the location and being pet friendly is just wonderful and appreciated for a city stay. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Food and bar is lovely overlooking the harbour. And Barangaroo is 10minute walk and our doggie loved our walks there every day.

Check in was late, well after 3pm until our room was ready and we had to chase this up a couple of times while we waited. Also they ‘ran out’ of welcome sparkling wine drink for guests which I thought wasn’t a good vibe to begin the stay.
