Location and customer service. Tue hotel was very welcoming and cosy.

Lights in bathroom did not turn off, kettle was broken however upon reporting it to the staff it was changed out. Some stains on carpet, blinds and bed cover.

Location was important to us and also to old world charm of the building.

We made the mistake of accepting a room near the reception area which turned out to be very noisy. The night manager continued to talk loudly well into the night and at 4:20am another episode of loud talking which made me get up and ask the person to keep it down.

Location is perfect. A short walk to historic sites, the Harbour Bridge and key transport options in Circular Quay. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms despite Livid happening outside.

Parking. As about the only people on earth not away that Livid was on and there were multiple street closures, it would have been great to have a reminder in the booking acknowledgment email, especially regarding parking options. We had to park about one kilometre away. In room amenities. As a long term customer of this hotel, especially under its previous ownership, there was more in room and in hotel amenities to both make you feel comfortable and to create repeat custom. Post-COVID, the emphasis appears to be on cost savings for the hotel while using the pandemic as justification for reduced services. This comment applies to all Australian accommodation I have stayed in since 2021.

The staff exceptional, there was a little hiccup with breakfast and room plumbing. But the staff where so fabulous and genuinely doing their utmost to take care of us, that it completely outweighed the problems. The proximity to the harbour and view amazing. Harbour Bridge, Opera house, Luna Park! And In the morning a enormous cruise ship had arrived silently in the night and took up the whole skyline. Not something you get to see everyday. The location and fit out fabulous.

It was ok for me but I did wonder how people with poor mobility could mange to get to their rooms with out a lift!

The location in the 'Rock's' area of Sydney was ideal for us and very convenient for sightseeing, eg for Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay with ferries, Botanical Gardens, main shopping area and historical Rocks area. Main reception area very welcoming, staff were helpful and friendly (Harrison in particular). The room was a twin room and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of space with a comfortable sofa.

Design of bathroom was a little outdated and a couple of things were a bit annoying - the shelf above the sink was too low so it was awkward brushing teeth etc. Taps in shower weren't labelled and I found not straightforward to use. Shower head was a little low for me and too low for my friend who is tall.

This hotel was warm, comfortable and homely. The foyer was welcoming and beautifully decorated. The staff (Reception and all those we passed in the halls) were friendly & accommodating. The room was small, functional & clean and ours had a partial view of the Opera house-BONUS! Ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious and reasonably priced. The best thing about the hotel was the location. Right in the heart of the Rocks which has more personality than the concrete jungle of the CBD. Multitude of options for eating out within steps of the door. Circular Quay, Opera House, CBD within a quick stroll. Will definitely stay again next visit.

This was a very nice hotel. We found the room to be comfortable and fairly spacious, with very comfortable beds, a nice little coffee/tea bar, and was quiet. We enjoyed the location quite a bit as it was a very easy walk to the opera house, harbour bridge and gardens. There were plenty of places to eat in the area as well. The hotel had iced tea out each day and bottles of still or sparkling water available at the bar for no charge which we found to be a nice touch. We didn't end up having drinks or dining at the hotel as our schedule didn't permit, but the facilities looked nice.

No complaints from me, I enjoyed the stay. I did note that there was no elevator, so perhaps if stairs were an issue that might deter some folks?

Location is awesome, walking distance to everything 'The Rocks', including the bridge climb starting point. Easy walking distance to circular key area. The clocktower parking is across the road, just be sure to check accessibility (parking is available) as we just made it in by 4 minutes before they shut the road down due to vivid festival activities.

Would have loved more room service options for weary travellers. Not sure if there's a lift to the 1st floor, as we were directed to the stairs. Just something to be aware of, for older travellers or those like us who'd just finished climbing the harbour bridge and really didn't want to see any more stairs! We were there on a Tuesday morning, and there really weren't many options for breakfast, and it all looked empty (not many weekday travellers perhaps). Would have been great to have been advised about the limited access to the parking area due to the vivid festival.

The location was amazing. We could walk to the harbor, only a couple of blocks away. There was a wonderful restaurant just around the corner. There were several bakeries. Little shops with lots of things to buy. It was Mardi Gras and we enjoyed the little kiosks and bought many souvenirs. There was a restaurant downstairs that we never dined in, but it had an exit to a Starbucks, another bakery and other wonderful restaurants. I would definitely stay there again. The girls at the front desk were great. They were very prompt whenever we had a request for extra towels or coffee and very helpful.

I can’t think of a thing that was not comfortable or adequate.

The location is excellent. Close to transport (ferey bus train and metro), able to walk everywhere easily if you prefer. The staff were outstanding , especially the check in. NIght staff. Beautiful garden area to sit and watch the world go by or lobby library if you had some time to spare. Has a lovely ambience and feeling to it. Area Felt safe and people around all the time. Would stay again. Had kettle iron hairdryer and charging points.

Bedding towels and room a little grubby . Bedding was i thin and no extra (for five star) towels were tiny an d thin.
