You couldn’t get a better quality apartment in such a prime location for better value than the York by Swiss-Belhotel. It is a really short stroll to such excellent locations like Circular Quay, The Rocks and Opera House, pizza shops, pubs and convenience stores Every staff member is exceptionally professional and pleasant to interact with. My apartment was furnished with good quality, comfortable furniture and included personal touches such as a small collection of quality books on the bookshelf. The bathroom was fresh and clean with large comfortable tub.

I was on the 15th floor and the city traffic noise was pretty noticeable through the night, not unbearable. On site car parking cost is pretty high, would be good if a multi night discount were offered to guests.

The reception lady was extremely rude & not helpful. She needs to stay away from the public & get a different job, she should never be front of house.

Amazing location just minutes walk from the Rocks, Darling Harbour, circular quay and George St. The apartment was huge (1 Bedroom no. 2006) and very clean and comfy. A huge bathroom with both bath and walk in shower also a very efficient washer and dryer. Washing detergent included! The kitchen had 2 fridges, great for keeping chilled water and brekkie stuff. The balcony could have done with a good clean but that's something small. The pool area is fab even when the sun is no longer on the terrace it was just beautiful to be able to use the hot tub. Would highly recommend apt 2006 and would love to have stayed longer. Our flight was late in the evening but we had access to the pool, gym, sauna and hot tub for the day with excellent showering and changing facilities.

Slightly tired apt with a little wear and tear and balcony needed a good clean but apart from that everything was excellent!

We were a group of 5 adults and one baby. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. Some of the decor and appliances were a bit dated, but everything was functional, the apartment was very spacious and the pool facilities were excellent. The beds and pillows were comfier than some other hotels I've stayed in. We all loved the indigenous art in the room too. It was the furthest from Central Station that I've stayed in Sydney, but it was near Wynyard Station, the light rail, lots of dining options and the Theatre Royal, so very convenient. You could hear a bit of road noise from the living area, which isn't surprising given the location, but it was quiet at night/in the bedrooms - was not disturbed by road noises or noise from other rooms at all. Would definitely recommend this hotel for family or friend groups and would definitely consider staying again.

The location. The size and layout of the room. The staff were efficient but not over the top friendly like at some hotels. We turned up an hour early and room was ready which was nice.

The fixtures and fittings were a little dated. The kitchen tap dripped unless you turned it off super tight. The shower rose kept flopping down so we had to tighten that and turn the water on hard to hold it up. Water leaked profusely where the shower rose met the wall. Reception were informed of the plumbing issues. I would have preferred not to walk to another hotel for breakfast… especially for $38 per head!

The hotel has a great location - a few steps from Wynyard station and a short walk to Circular Quay. Safe area and as much of it is office buildings, not so many people around in the evening I had been upgraded to a a 1 bedroom apartment which was fabulous. The furnishings were bright and cheery and the carpet was so soft and luxurious underfoot. It did all seem to have been recently refurbished . Kitchen is very well equipped - full size fridge freezer, dishwasher and oven, plus a washer/dryer in the bathroom. More than enough cutlery, crockery and pots/pans are provided. In addition to microwave, kettle and toaster. You could cook proper meals in the apartment. There's a mini bar and snacks that wasn't overly expensive, and tea/coffee is provided free. Large TVs in living area and bedrooom, plus a DVD player and stereo. Phones in living area and bedroom Full dining table and plenty of wardrobe space. Bath and shower with plenty of hot water and a separate toilet. Good housekeeping with everywhere immaculate Helpful reception staff. Balcony with table and chairs

Staff were lovely, the apartment was neat & tidy, location is great & the spa (on the pool level) is nice at night with a view of the city lights. This is our second time at the York, when we booked we asked if we could get a room in a specific location as we had memories overlooking a certain spot & they were able to do this for us which was great! Our visit was for our 10yr wedding anniversary & we had a very comfortable stay & were close to everything we needed to access; we would definitely recommend staying here.

Loved the fact we could walk down to Circular Quay or Wynyard Station is so close to get around Sydney. The apartment had everything you needed in the kitchen to be self sufficient and the bed was really comfortable. We are a returning customer and will definitely return again.

Just as an information point if you have mobility issues or are on the extra large size you might have a problem getting into the shower as the door isn't very wide but I'm sure if you let them know in advance they will accommodate you in a room with a larger shower. They couldn't be more helpful.

The room was very spacious, tidy and in a good location. We had some problems with a previously allocated room but I’m pleased to say the staff were extremely helpful in resolving.

The quality of the room is very mixed. The first room we were allocated was awful…it was extremely tired and very basic. The second was much better. The whole building looks like it has seen better days and is in need of a refurb. Having said that the staff made the difference and overall experience wasn’t bad

The room was fantastic with a great view. The apartment allowed us to cook and save a bit of cash to do things we wanted. The cooking utensils needed an upgrade and the coffee sugar needed restocking. The WiFi did not work which was disappointing, so no Netflix and chill. We just had to chill.the sauna, pool and spa were exceptional, apart from the little bitchy kids that splashed water into my shoes. Otherwise fantastic stay.

No WiFi. Substandard kitchen utensils. My partner was assumed to be a woman. A birthday card was left saying enjoy your stay Mrs.... great gesture but a bit of investigating would've saved embarrassment. Funny though. Great place to stay. Wonderful staff.
