A great place to stay, within walking distance to both Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and Pitt St Mall. There's a convenience shop 1 minutes walk away. The bathrooms, although shared, were warm and always clean. There was room in the kitchen and fridge to store our food items. Bedrooms were roomy, and the beds were really comfortable and warm. We will stay here again.
The kitchen was shared, and we found some cups and cutlery had not been cleaned properly. There were others' dishes and utensils left in the sink or on the drainer. Could do with a refurbishment, but it is comfortable and decently priced.

Great location, so well connected by train, ferry or tram to airport and city centre. Stayed for one night to explore Sydney on a stopover from New Zealand on way home and it was ideal for that. Really appreciated the luggage storage ahead of check in and after check in! Room safe, clean and comfy. Shared facilities for relaxing and catering were really good. Good warm shower. (Recommend Gateway Food Court by Circular Quay if you want reasonable cost city centre food options)
Some flyover noise but earplugs made it absolutely fine for me. Please fix the female bathroom door so it doesn't automatically slam loudly!

I like the fact there was a kitchenett/lounge space and laundry on each floor and the rooms were spacious. It was also nice and quiet I would definitely stay again. The accommodation was aslo centrally located to major attractions and within easy walking distance to all transport hubs.

This was my first time staying at Siesta, and I have to say – it made a great first impression. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with two bathrooms available, which made sharing totally manageable. The location is also fantastic – you can walk almost anywhere, which was super convenient. The bathrooms were always clean, which I really appreciated. The only small suggestion I have is to maybe replace the mugs – some of them looked a bit yellow. But overall, the little details Siesta provides for guests really stood out. There’s always coffee, milk, bread, and fruit available, which I found incredibly thoughtful. I do wish there was a bit more variety in teas, but that’s a small thing in the grand scheme of it all. One of the biggest highlights of my stay was meeting Vanessa and Alejandra. In a city where I didn’t come across many genuinely friendly people, these two were a breath of fresh air. They were warm, personal, and truly made a difference in how I experienced Sydney. I’m so grateful I got to meet them. Thank you, Siesta, for creating such a welcoming space and for having such kind people on your team. It made all the difference.

Nice place and worthy for the price that we paid when you stay a little longer. Good location to the main city. We were also happy for some free fruits and easier breakfast.
It was very loudly in the surroundings outside and it was a lot of slaming in the doors (bathroom) that was loudly.

The staff super friendly and helpful. We particularly loved the common area loungeroom and kitchen, clean, tidy facilities, all cutlery and crockery and basic foods, fruit, cereal, bread, milk ect... all provided. A large tv with netflix to relax at the end of the night... and the convenience of being able to walk to the harbour, the theatre and restaurants and wilsons weekend carpark only a few metres walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be staying again everytime we come to Sydney.
People complaining about our young toddlers playing and being a little noisy in the common areas until 10pm... thry were just so excited and had so much fun having a holiday.

My recent stay at Siesta in Sydney was unforgettable – not just because of the beautiful place, but because of the people. I have to give a special shoutout to Vanessa. Oh my goodness… her vibe, her energy, and the way she interacts with guests is something truly special. From the very first moment, she made us feel seen, welcome, and cared for in a way that’s rare – especially in a city like Sydney, where friendliness can sometimes be a hit or miss for travelers from warmer cultures. Vanessa was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip. I traveled with my aunt, and we stayed 21 days in Sydney. And guess what? We kept coming back to Siesta. Why? Because of Vanessa. Her warmth, empathy, and constant smile were such a comfort. She's not just doing a job – she's making a difference in people's journeys. She truly tries to connect with every person she meets, and you don’t come across that kind of presence often. We even decided to come back on our last day just to see her again – that’s how much of an impact she had on us. Siesta – you are incredibly lucky to have someone like her on your team. Her kindness and energy stayed with us even after we left. We also had the pleasure of meeting Alejandra, another gem. Her positive energy, friendliness, and ability to connect made us feel right at home. Beyond the amazing people, the rooms were always spacious, spotless, and cleaned daily – which we really appreciated. The place is very close to the city so we didn’t take a single taxi. It is only a train ride away to the airport. The overall experience was elevated because of the love and care these two women bring into the space. To Vanessa and Alejandra: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will miss you more than you know. To management: please recognize the incredible value these women bring to your team. They are the soul of Siesta.
How they didn’t have more variety of teas but everything was amazing!

Excellent hostel (more like hotel vibe). Room was big and spacious! Every floor has a kitchen and a lounge. Great location for city lovers
I would less recommend for solo travelers - not a very social hostel, mostly couples/people who came together in their own rooms.

Communication before arrival and on arrival was genuinely friendly, so I was made to feel at home. Location is close to the places I often visit in Sydney. such as the Recital Centre, Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. The room (1) was spacious and had an ensuite which I had not expected but was very welcome. It was also in an unusual and separate location in the hotel, which is very 'me'. I didn't try the TV, but internet connection was good, and the heater and lighting were good. The shower was very good. I liked the lounge and shared kitchen area too, and I left some biscuits for others. Entry after hours was easy. Checking out was equally friendly. I didn't notice anything that was not clean. I was impressed that everything was washed up in the kitchen.
Can't really think of anything. Maybe one small detail. I was glad to be able to make a cup of tea in the kitchen when I arrived, when I got back in the evening, and in the morning before I left. The little milk in the fridge was two days past the use by date, but was fortunately still OK to use, but keeping a little there fresh would be good. When you want a cup of tea, you really do want to be able to make one.

The room was big; about 16-20m2, so plenty of room for the bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, desk, 2 suitcases lying on the floor and still plenty left. The bed was comfortable. The ear plugs provided. The clean and plenty of showers and toilets. The cooking facility, with bonus free tea, coffee, bread, marg, muesli. Spacious common area The free laundry. The fan in the room for extra breeze, as the air con is centrally set. The staff. Location- close to everywhere central.
The pillows are not the same: one was (too) hard while the other was OK.
