Wonderful staff. Comfortable room & bed, hot shower, tea & coffee in room. Great value. Excellent central location. Coles supermarket (fresh food, fruit, affordable ready-made meals, drinks, pastries, fresh coffee) and Priceline Pharmacy across street. QVB (Queen Victoria Building) at the corner (shops, fast food, cafes and restaurants — recommend Cellini’s!). Town Hall train station just down the street. Light rail one street over - so easy to get to Circular Quay & Sydney Opera House. Short walk to Darling Harbour.

I really liked how comfortable the hotel was and how close it was to my office. the rooms were very nice and tidy and it made me feel like home, the staff is always very friendly and I would definitely come back.

The room was as described and was everything we needed it to be. When we had a minor problem, the staff were immediately onto the problem. All staff were very pleasant to deal with. The location was perfect, a short walk to major shopping precincts and easy to get a taxi/uber out the front.

It was a small room but this is to be expected at this price point. From a personal preference perspective, the sliding door with frosted glass panel for a bathroom door was a bit weird. The smoke alarm had a plastic bag over it, I have assumed this was a previous occupant trying to negate the anti smoking rules, when I informed the staff they went and removed it immediately. The room did not have any odors so the reason for the bag is a guess.

I loved my upgraded room to a King Bed and the lift, having no stairs to climb was unexpected bonus, the bed was great and they serviced my room daily, it was quiet. The Central CBD location was so perfect to go to my events l planned, l could come and rest and go out in evening again. There was plenty of nice eating places and convenience stores and even the small Coles supermarket was a short walk. So close to QV building and light rail and trains. I walked with suitcase easily from Wynyard Station and to darling harbour. I would definitely return.

The only thing was the strong cigarette smell when l entered the building on ground level, and had to walk to the hallway to the lift, although the hotel started on Level 1 (one floor up). I don't know if the smoke came from the car park, but it was bad. It was a non-smoking area.

Really good value in a an awesome location. Was upgraded to a twin room from a single which was lovely. Netflix was handy. Could log into my own account during my stay.

The floor on level 4 smells a bit weird.

My stay at Megaboom was exceptional. The room was so clean and I could see that there had been painting updated as well as lovely new warm blankets. I became unwell, was on my own and the reception staff were so helpful, one person especially. She was quick to respond to get me assistance when I got food poisoning. Bringing me equipment to clean the room as requested and has the room cleaned while I was out. The cleanliness of the room was extremely professional. As a solo female traveller I find the hotel extremely safe and so close to so many things. The rooms are quiet, so comfortable and have the facilities needed for a great stay including wonderful showers. The staff are professional and friendly. I highly recommend this wonderful place!

Location, convenience and the cleanliness of rooms. It was nice and quiet and had everything you need for either a short or longer stay. The bed was huge and so comfortable and the value for money was excellent for the quality of the room. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be choosing the Megaboom to stay on future trips.

Would've liked to have at least one USB outlet in the room for charging phones, devices, etc, to save bringing along a plug in unit in luggage or needing to buy one while there. It's kind of an expected facility these days. Everyone needs to charge their devices even if it's just an overnight stay.

I loved everything about my stay at Megaboom. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, location was central and easy to find, my room was private and exactly what I wanted. The free laundry facilities helped me out a lot, too. Fantastic shower and comfy bed. I loved watching dumb TV shows from my childhood on Nickelodeon on the wall TV inbetween heading out for fun with my friends. 5 stars. Would absolutely come stay again. Thank you for everything!

Nothing. It was great. There was occasionally some noise- a rumbly sound? But it didn't bother me at all. I thought my window looking down at a patch of fake grass was hilarious.

Staff were friendly and helpful. They happily delivered slippers up to my room when I had inquired about it over the phone. Normally you collect it yourself from the reception desk, which I had planned to do at my convenience, so I was really pleasantly surprised with the gesture. They provided everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels replaced. They provide door signs if you didn’t require the service. They are also conveniently close to shops and transport. Check in and check out were very quick and smooth. Overall a perfect weekend spent. Thanks Megaboom for having us!

For an overnight very short stay to attend a dinner and concert invitation it was well situated, within easy walking distance and had everything I required - comfortable bed, soft pillow, TV, Wi-Fi, kettle, good shower. The check-in and check could not have been quicker as my room was close to Reception on the 1st floor. The room might be considered too small for a king-sized bed, but the ceiling was high, so it didn't feel box-like. There was a large window, but I didn't need 'a room with a view'.

For my requirements, nothing really. Could have done with one or two more 'long life' milk thimbles!
