Location was exceptional once we found it. The outdoor signage is not real clear. Easy access to the bus. The rooms were nice, seemed to be updated.

Pulled a 10-in snag of hair and slime out of the bathroom sink drain.

Very pleasant stay. Spotless, very spacious room with big comfy bed, cooking facilities. Very friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Exceptional location, 5 minute walk to Town Hall train station and trams.

This was our third year staying at YEHS QVB for Smash 2025, and I doubt we’ll be staying anywhere else anytime soon. The accommodation is nearly dead centre in the cbd, only a stones throw from the trams and trains, and directly beside a bus stop. Most importantly to me and my friend, it is right beside Kinokuniya, which as a culture fan makes a perfect location. The rooms have always been quiet, warm and dry, even in the middle of winter. They’re spacious for baseline rooms and the bathroom is clean, with a great shower and large soap/hair amenities. Staff are always super nice, and you can leave your luggage before and after your stay. Check in is super quick. The cleaning staff are also super friendly which I appreciate. We will be back next year again, and don’t think we’ll be staying anywhere else any time soon.

Great location, comfy beds, decent sized room & nice staff.

The place is a little dated but it’s nice enough! Two small things - the first was the doors to enter/exit the room just slam shut! Wasn’t just our room, you could tell when someone else left their room because the door would just go BANG! The hotel could definitely look into getting some new hinges or something for the doors. It’s just so aggressive & unnecessary. Secondly the rubber on the shower door when you slide it close, was making an awful screeching sound. Sounded like a bird getting killed - not pleasant at all. Aside from the door concerns, I would stay again.

I had a great experience with the customer service team at YEHS Hotel Sydney QVB, even before my stay. Due to an unexpected visa delay, I had to request a last-minute change to my reservation. I’m truly grateful to Alisha, who kindly made an exception and helped me reschedule the booking, even though it was past the usual modification period. Her support and prompt communication made a difficult situation much easier to manage. During my stay, I also met a very kind woman at the front desk who wears glasses — I didn’t catch her name, but she left a wonderful impression. She was always friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. Looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you again to the amazing staff!

The location is very convenient to move from Sydney International Airport because the train can access to the nearby station City Hall. Also, the staffs responded to us via email when I had a question before our arrival to Sydney from Tokyo. If I have a chance to come back to Sydney, I wanna select the hotel again.

Sometimes Hotel Wifi was disconnected and the signal strength is not so enough. So, if you can, I would like you to add more your wireless routers or improve the location of each router to improce the signal strength of Wifi connection.

I liked the convenience of location. Close to public transport and shops. Staff were great and always had a smile for you. My elderly mother stayed 2 nights with me and she was treated with kindness and respect.

Choice of coffee and tea in rooms was average. Not to my tastes. But that's not really hotels problem.

Room was neat and clean - although room small, was enough room for the double bed and closet to hang clothes and place items at the bottom of the closet. The air con could be controlled from the room which is very useful. Bathroom provided a good shower and was clean and tidy. Very good location - close to wide range of shopping, restaurants and transport - trains, light rail and buses virtually outside the entrance to the hotel.

A chair could have provided to sit down - could only sit on the bed - maybe not enough room for a small chair.

Staff were very friendly. The room was big enough and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean. Great location.

3pm check in is late. We requested an early check when we booked as we had an event starting at 3pm at Sydney Olympic Park. We received a message saying early check in isn't guaranteed. We arrived at 12pm and were able to leave our bags. We again asked for early check in and were told our room wasn't ready but they'd call us if it was ready early. I ended up calling at 2pm to ask again to which I was told yes, I can now check in. The view was great but the windows were crazed and could do with an upgrade.
