Location to transport, CBD, comfortable beds, lovely apartment

room not ready at check-in, waited an hour - however, was given a late check-out of 11am as compensation. Whopping credit card surcharge fee on top of accommodation stay (had to pay by credit card as my bank limit didn’t allow for full amount to be paid by EFTPOS) … recommend ensuring bank limit allows full EFTPOS - not tap and pay as this will also incur the fee 🫤

At time of paying at the reception it was not pointed out to us that savings could be used - DO NOT LIKE SURCHARGES ON CARDS. - the reason the staff give is not completely true or correct. - the reasoning is flawed - I was a small business owner who did not charge fees - Read recent comments by NAB CEO

No face washer towels were available. It would have been more comfortable if each bedroom had independent temperature controls. Also only 2 lifts were available. Additionally the oven controls weren't marked so using it was some guess work. A coffee milk frother would have been nice.

BATH / UTILITY ROOM W/ WASHER & DRYER: Bath area was typical, but a bonus that the shower was larger than most. Washer/Dryer was important to us as we just came off 2+ weeks in the outback, so the ability to do laundry was great. KITCHEN AREA: Full kitchen with large refer, dishwasher, pots & pans, toaster, kettle, microwave. Dishes and utensils adequate. Seating area nice.

KITCHEN: Sink area lacked sponge or dishcloth, paper towels. As nice as the kitchen area was, these little additions should not be too expensive to add, and that would complete the outfitting of the kitchen. FLOOR: The tile floor in the kitchen area was not clean when we checked in - maid service needs to pay more attention to this, as it gives a poor initial impression.

Very close to all amenities and transport and shopping.

The kitchen had hardly any cooking pans saucepans and nothing to use in the microwave. Really nothing to cook with and not bough cutlery for a 3 bed apartment. Needs a bit of maintenance done on the ensuite door. Door handle broken. The wifi was terrible had trouble trying to download my emails etc.

The pool and spa, the sauna in the pool area, needs restoration as the door won't stay closed and under and above the door has big gaps. The room i got was the room i wanted, which was excellent. I hope to get that room again ( 3 beddi altitude suite with the wrap around balconey facing darling harbour ). The rooms seemed a bit cramped at first but the lounge room made up for it. All bedding was very comfortable and amenities really good, especially the coffee machine. We all used the balconey most day and nights, great views and there was fireworks on my birthday! ( Did i plan them, maybe ) also, very lucky that our floor was renovated already, the room had that new apartment smell and updated furniture. Our stay was on the 50th floor.

The sauna needs restoration. The door does not close, and there are giant gaps above and below the door. Wish you got a few more bathroom amenities if your stay is more than 2 nights. An extra bodywash would have been good. The carpark is not designed for long utes or 4wd's. Was very back n forth trying to get out and above from the fifth basement level, but it's a design flaw, can't be changed, had to park between 2 bollards on an angle near the elevator as its real tight parking in the allocated bays in a 4wd (ute with tray).

We have stayed in Meriton Suites Pitt Street several times now. Reasons.. great room, great location, great price, great staff. The rooms are well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is close to shops, restaurants, transport all at your doorstep. The moment you walk out into the street, everything is right there within short walking distance. The apartments have been upgraded and look very modern and comfortable. Great size kitchen with everything, a laundry and 2 generous size bathrooms. Comfortable lounge and dining, and balconies with city views.

Exhaust fan in bathroom was not working.

Convenient and close to things we were interested in. Good outlook on things around. Most people we asked were very helpful. Food places and supermarket very handy. Transport eg. tram very close although we did not use. Everything within walking distant for our stay. A couple more days would have been nice. Loved the deep bath soak.

Know many people cellphone and computer savvy but for us we would have liked an information folder to work the tvs and whats involved to get it to work, netflix etc, and some of the appliances in the room/s/kitchen. Not everyone up with the speed of technology. Maybe a street map of streets around and close to your Suite for people to get there bearings makes life a little easier. Prob bit old school but it is very helpful for some. A check of drawing curtains regularly would help as in one room we couldn't get it to shut. But eventually we got it after sometime. But all in all it was very good. And maintenence did come and sort our fridge episode next day.

Room 2501 on Lvl 25 was quiet from street noise, but occasionally a passing ambulance was a problem. Staff were generally well trained and polite. Room was well decorated, clean with v good facilities.

We and all other guests (200+) were awoken at 1.20am on Fri 27/6 by a false fire evacuation alarm caused by a faulty water sprinkler in the basement. This potentially very serious incident was not well managed by the hotel managers, leading to confusion amongst many guests. Meriton management do now understand what needs to be done to avoid a repetition of this event.

The staff were excellent from the time we stepped into the hotel. Joseph has to be commended for going above and beyond to help us in locating my lost luggage, giving us a better so we could view the fireworks and most important when my brother-in-law was extremely sick he assisted in getting a room for him as our flight left in the afternoon. The extra effort goes a long way when you are in dire straits. The other staff were also good but the standout was Joseph who helped genuinely and with a smile.

The room staff though nice, did not understand what we were saying and did not provide what we asked. We did not pursue it further.
