Located right opposite Hyde Park, the Hyde Park Inn offers splendid views of the park and Elizabeth St (especially if your room is located on one of the upper levels in which case you can even see the Sydney Harbour bridge in the far corner & part of Sydney's beautiful skyline with the beautiful ANZAC memorial in the foreground). This means you're located close to all the major spots in Sydney CBD with excellent access to public transportation: bus stop less than a minute way & the St. James & Museum train stations just a few minutes' walk. Car parking was also included in the booking (you'll need to request a 1-use voucher from the reception) but I didn't use it this time. The studio room I stayed in was reasonably spacious & had a Queen bed as well as a smaller bed right next to it. Everything was neat & clean as you'd expect in any 4-star property). Staff were quite good & professional. A light continental breakfast (fruit juice, portions of fruit, full cream milk & 4 slices of bread) was included.

Netflix didn't seem to work on the SmartTV in the room but it did have Amazon Prime, Stan, youtube & a whole host of other options. In hindsight, this wasn't such a bad thing given that there was so much to do outdoors at such a great location in Sydney.

Due to flights being cancelled to Melbourne. We needed a hotel this one recommended to us. We had travelled from N.Ireland to Australia and stayed few days in Sydney. So our booking was last minute, due to stressful day at airport. The staff, especially reception gentleman and young lady next morning who were friendly, professional and very kind to two frought travellers. It was ecceptionally clean comfortable and the had a little kitchen. Continental breakfast in fridge more than suffice. Juices, fruit tea, coffee,great choice of cereals, museli peanut butter jams, honey, bread and fresh milk. Train station right on the corner and the beautiful Museum park and gardens, coffee placrs across road. 15 walk to both harbours and sights. They even kept our cases for us after check out. We also hopped on a public bus 333 across the road, right into Bondi beach. In all a little gem of a hotel in the city. I would definitely stay again! Thank you to all the staff.

Best location for us as we arrived by plane. Caught the train and alighted at the Museum station, walked across the road and our accommodation was there. This station is two stops to Circular Quay and a few stops to Central. Buses are across the road to Bondi and Newtown and other stops too. There is an underground access to the station without having to cross the busy roads pulling luggage behind you. The room was clean and serviced daily for the duration of our stay. There is a guest laundry which we used a few times too. We had a kitchenette with a frypan and saucepan, enough to meet our needs and we did cook some meals while we were there. Breakfast is continental and there is a supply of Juice, preserved fruit, Cereal, bread, butter and assorted spreads, milk, tea, coffee. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodation. There is a 7 eleven and a tobacconist downstairs who do carry some basic food lines. There are 2 cafes and a restaurant close by. Within a couple of blocks you will find many Restaurants with plenty to choose from as well.

The downside was logistical. Not close enough to a supermarket if you wanted to buy groceries.

We preferred this hotel for second time in Sydney CBD. Perfect Location in CBD, just opposite Museum Metro Station, from where you could travel to any part of the city. Bus-stops just a few steps away from Hotel. Convenience stores and Cafes all around. Coles a few block away. Best part is that each family rooms had balcony that overlooked Hyde Park and Memorial monument and excellent open view of skyline. Good sound proofing that keeps out traffic noise of Museum junction. Breakfast supplies in room, so we could prepare and eat anytime. Our main comfort was the self-service Laundry facility at the hotel which is a necessity for long stays. Everything from location to facilities were excellent considering the price.

The Beds were too soft which can lead to backache. Deep cleaning of sofa and other room facilities required after each guest stay.

Facilities - we got all that we need (microwave oven, kitchen sink, cuttleries/plates/bowls); Location - walking distance to the shopping area, 2 stops to circular quay by train & 5-min ride by bus; Spotless clean white linens/towels; Room - large/comfortable; Breakfast set re-filled everyday (placed in the fridge - don't worry, you can toast the bread in the toaster - yes it's also provided); Staff - not overly warm, but genuinely helpful (from reception/luggage teams to housekeeping); Laundry facility - yes, there is. I can go on and on...

Nil for me, I'm completely satisfied.

Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Besides the odd siren, we didn’t hear a lot of noise from traffic outside. Great view of Hyde a park. We did find the free breakfast did come in handy for our early start. Train station was straight across the road and it wasn’t a bad walk to Darling Harbour. Free parking was also a great addition to the room. We couldn’t park onsite but the car park was only a few minutes walk away.

Not a huge problem but We couldn’t connect to any of the apps on the tv.

The location was fantastic. Very close to Museum Station, and easy access to buses, metro and light rail. The included parking and light breakfast was a wonderful addition, although parking spaces (like all city car parks) are very tight so you wouldn’t want to navigate with a large car. Reception staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable apart from a suspicious stain on the carpet right next to the bed (hoping it wasn’t blood, may have been nail polish or a lip product in a suspicious colour). A great place for families! We’d stay again.

The major negative for me was being woken at sunrise with sun streaming through a gap in the blinds of the kitchen area. It was straight in my eyes and rolling over only meant the mirrored robe reflected straight back at me. I got up and wedged a towel in it which helped somewhat but it was awful to be woken so early after a late night out. This really needs addressing as it seems to be a common complaint. Apart from those things, it is a great place for families with children. We would stay again.

I've stayed here at least 4 or 5 times now. The location is great and if you get a room looking over Hyde Park, it's really ideal. Little kitchenette with (bare essentials) breakfast items make it very comfortable. Museum station is right across the road so you're at the airport in 10 or 15 minutes. You can walk into town or get the train to the Quay in 10 minutes too.

The foyer and exterior is pretty average. If they had a bar of cafe it would be much nicer. Staff are competent but there's no love lost even though I've stayed there many times. There's a dull-looking Italian Restaurant next door (maybe it's nice?) but it's not really part of the hotel.

Location was chosen as close to work commitments. Easy to find. Check in fast and efficient. Room was a two bedroom apartment with balcony and views over Hyde Park. Large spaces and good kitchen facilities. No noise given the traffic in the street. Breakfast was a tad sparse but adequate. Restaurant next door had great Italian food with discount. Close to the interesting and multicultural Asian eateries but also close to Surrey Hills eclectic culture. Best part of Sydney.

Maybe internet connections could have been better. But doable.... Bathroom towels could be updated. Could have better bathroom amenities - soaps etc... but doable

Fantastic location, 2 minute walk to Museum station, easy access to train to airport. Also 5 minute walk to Town Hall station so access to different train lines. Great view over Hyde Park from the balcony, the room was spacious, with kitchenette that had a microwave and stove top if you wanted to prepare something to eat. Breakfast was left in the fridge for you, very simple, bread, a juice and fruit cup. Cereal left out with coffees and teas, fresh milk provided. Staff at front desk were friendly and good wifi speed.
