I really enjoyed my stay at Ace Hotel Sydney. The location is excellent, and the F&B options within the hotel are a standout, especially the restaurant on the 18th floor and the bar—both offering a great atmosphere, delicious food, and drinks. The young guy at reception who checked me in was absolutely fantastic—super friendly, welcoming, and exactly the kind of person you want to see in hospitality. More staff like him would make a big difference!

However, there are some areas that need improvement. The lighting in the room was insufficient, particularly in the bathroom, toilet, and wardrobe area where the mirror is—it was way too dim, making it difficult to get ready. Also, the room itself was extremely small, barely enough space even for one person.

We had a great time, lovely vibe, lots on in the weekend. The location is amazing. Biggest issue for us was the lack of sound proofing - there was a massive party next door to us that was not controlled and going until 1am with multiple noise complaints made. Also our shower flooded the bathroom but we were moved promptly.

Sound proofing/ control of parties. Can easily hear the drilling of local construction all day long also.

Location is fantastic for my work and the facilities provide all I need. I especially appreciate the gym - small but functional unlike other hotel gyms which are not well thought out. The shower is amazing! I'd almost come back just for that! Will be staying again.

I think the dining options are a little pricey for what is on offer. I ate there three times during my stay but will likely dine out next time. This may be the hotel or booking.com but when I wanted to extend my stay it was more expensive than making an additional booking. That didn't make sense but I booked it that way for the saving. It made Check in a little clunky - two deposits, two payments, etc. A lot of time lost to do something simple.

Everything - the community vibes was amazing, staff were beautiful and happy, food was delish, drinks were awesome - I felt like I wanted all my friends to stay in the hotel with me because it was a vibe- they loved visiting too!

The only thing was the metal clinking sounds every now and then that was coming from the vents but mentioned to staff and may have just been something off with the aircon. Otherwise maybe some harder pillows please - but I didn’t ask so that’s on me!

Small details: Nothing major but for five stars the small details count lighting at mirror in room not great for makeup same in shower - lighting moody nice feel but hard to see no hair dyer in room slippers would have been great - even as add on extra if staying multiple nights I stayed three nights (Id rather slippers than a robe to be honest) no milk for cup or tea after hours in room fridge and pretty average instant coffee - many five stars do a plunger or coffee pods.. I realise there is a great cafe downstairs.. but after hours people still often want coffee ( not just wine/gins etc from bar fridge! ) no free water on arrival in room That really would make all the difference to offer a water to guests on arrival at least

Loved the absolute fun vibe of the hotel. Ive never walked into a hotel room before and smiled from ear to ear. The rooms were quirky and stylish. A guitar and record player with records to play with. Comfy memory foam beds. Walk in shower room and separate toilet. I bought the soap holder and charcoal soap because they were so cool. The detail in these rooms was exquisite. Location was amazing. A few minutes walk to Museum train station. Amazing friendly staff and a 12pm checkout. So good.

If I have to be picky, I don't like feather pillows, but that's it!

The room itself felt very new and clean; we got a free upgrade to a medium sized room and it was certainly better than the original small one we sought. The interior design is very neat and I appreciated what seemed like sound proofing? The room was quiet and the perfect temperature, controlled by ourselves.

I don’t like the placement of the room’s drain, as it’s right where one would stand in front of the sink to do anything. No slippers were provided and everything extra did cost quite a bit more than I expected. The lighting in the toilet and shower areas was very dim; can be relaxing for some, but for others, it’s a struggle to see which flush button to push.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a unique and thoughtfully curated design in every corner. The restaurants are excellent, and we were lucky to enjoy a weekend with fantastic live music. The staff is very friendly and attentive. After staying at the Ace in New York and Sydney, our next destination is Japan!

We booked two large rooms, but one was noticeably smaller than the other. Although the staff made an effort to offer a replacement, we didn’t quite get what we originally reserved. Housekeeping didn’t vacuum the room during our stay.

We ordered room service for breakfast which was delivered quickly and professionally and utterly delicious. It was so good we did it again the next morning :) Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for what we needed. Loved the big shower, hot water never gave up. Block out curtains made sure we slept in way longer than we usually do, making it a great holiday. Really great bar downstairs just in case you didn't want to go far for anything, but close to some fantastic restaurants and public transport.

The reception staff actively found me a room knowing I’d arrived very early in the morning after a 26 hour commute from London. They also accommodated me for an extra night when there was the fire at Heathrow. Their cafe and room service was amazing- I dare you to find a better breakfast and the bed and pillows! Even when dealing with uk to au jetlaf they made all the difference.

I have told all the friends who came to Sydney for the same event as me that they should have booked the ace. This was my second visit and I love everything about it. The reception, cafe and bar staff are lovely, the rooms are clean and so well designed and comfortable and the service is fab. There is nothing I don’t like about it - I’ve been so well taken care of. The only disaster was a fire alarm at 8am when id been up at a party quite late the night before but totally out of their control and they got us back to our rooms really quickly.
