Beautiful decor, excellent location (Chinatown, Thai restaurants, theatre, excellent Thai massage nearby). Great looking bar at entrance - I didn't get to try any food or drink but definitely will next time. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean room with lovely touches like hair straightener and refillable water bottle. Rooms are small, but this is not a negative in my view and I was impressed with the efficient use of space. I was on the 4th floor and heard no noise from the street. Late checkout 11am is a treat. Would stay again and recommend.

If you are a light sleeper you may need earplugs as the air-conditioning and water pipes can be loud at night. However this is expected in an older renovated building and after dessert from one of the Thai dessert bars nearby I slept soundly.

All the staff were super-friendly and helpful - highly commend all staff that we met during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and every effort was made to accommodate our requests. Loved the little touches like a hotel voucher for forfeiting room service, bathroom sensor light, water bottle refills from the bar. Lovely design and vibe; bed was very comfortable. Convenient location for trains, shopping, restaurants.

The noise woke us up at times - our room was next to the housekeeping stairwell and the squeaking and slamming door was constant after 7am. We could hear other guests in the corridor and their doors closing, too. Could be difficult if you are a light sleeper

I love the entrance Lobby / mixed in bar restaurant socialising foyer and always the warm welcome , I don’t know if I was recognised as a repeat regular or not but I had an upgrade which always put me on cloud nine it shows that I’m appreciated that’s all it takes to win my heart sometimes ! I’m easily pleased just be nice and good reviews will follow I ponder who and who not to review ! Only the good and goodest bestest awesomeist get reviewed first the bad ones I don’t stay with so if you appear on my reviews well done your top of the crop best around and most appreciated for your dedication and commitment to excelling in the Service industry. Again really hard I tried to give an unbiased view review about everywhere. I stay once again very difficult to find something I don’t like at the Morris perhaps after the restaurant closes there could be a little bit more discretion at the lifts when you’re coming in late as I do.

Great location - easily accessible from the airport and very easy to walk to main attractions. Room was comfy and easy to get additional supplies of water etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had previously read reviews about it being suitable for solo female travellers and there seemed to be a number of us. Hotel and area felt safe. Good choice at breakfast.

There was some noise from local construction activity which started early and ended late but didn't impact on my sleep!

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Morris Sydney. My room had the most comfortable bed, nicely decorated with art deco inspired interior design, curated in all details. I appreciated little touches like including a portable steamer inside a velvet pouch or the Nespresso capsule so I could have a nice coffee first thing in the morning. At my arrival I was greeted by a lovely host who had a little goodie bag ready for me! I forgot her name but you are the best! What really made my stay special was all the staff that made me feel right at home during my first time in Sydney. I want to thank Laura for my first Australia Flat white (amazing), Luis for always being so bubbly, the bartender Jonathan ( i think!) for the lovely drinks! and a massive thank you to all the others I had the pleasure meeting! I hope to be back soon!

The staff were great and it was only a two minute walk to the Capital Theatre. The Westfield (tower experience) and Darling Harbour are also within walking distance. The hotel is restored beautifully, nice and quiet at night even though it is centrally located. The bar has a lovely ambiance to sit and have a drink. We will definitely return.

If you like space you would want to book one of the larger rooms. Ours wasn't the smallest so it was fine. It's definitely a boutique hotel. The pillows (while luxurious) were a bit high for me so I put in a request for a smaller one. Housekeeping responded so quickly and brought the perfect one.

The hotel is extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished and the bar and reception staff are fantastic. The location is excellent - close to Chinatown, Pyrmont, Oxford Street and the City.

The bathroom wasn't very clean at all; there was toothpaste on the shower floor and a dirty razor on the bathroom floor. Wet towels were left in the shower (the housekeeper forgot to take them). The bottle for the complimentary water was taken and not returned. We requested our rooms be close together, but they were on different floors meaning our daughters couldn't access our floor. We were advised that our room was an upgrade, but it was actually the same as the room our daughters had. These are not huge issues, just some constructive criticism. We'd stay here again.

Charmingly eccentric. Room was small but extremely comfortable and well appointed. It was literally 50 metres from the theatre. Also, there are wonderful fresh food eateries all around it. The $49 pre-theatre dinner was delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly. Parking under the World Market Tower up the street was easier than I had feared.

Nothing. It is a fun place. One of the few nice hotels I’ve stayed in lately where the bar is also the reception.

Breckfast menu was great. Also the staff was extremely helpfull and welcoming. They also had this wonderfull option where you can skip the cleaning services of the room and get a 10 dollar gift card to the bar.

The room is really small. I got the upgrade to s king suite and even there it felt kinda cramped. Also the dinner menu was really mediocre. Paid 29ausd for a school cafeteria lasagne that also took for ever.

The room was very clean and quiet. We stayed three nights at the hotel, and the room was cleaned every day by the housekeeper. The location of this hotel is awesome. There are so many nice restaurants outside the hotel, and Chinatown is just a 4-minute walk away. It's close to the train station and everything else.

The room is way smaller than the picture we saw online. We have one check-in luggage and one carry-on luggage, and the room was already full. The check-in process is a bit slow. It took us almost 30 minutes to check in.
