1. Within 5 to 7 mins walk from Museum Station or 10 mins walk from Central, which is directly connected to the airport line 2. Walkable to city centre and Chinatown, lots of food options 3. The blackout curtains in the room are amazing, esp for a light sleeper 4. Comfy bed 5. 10% off Chinese restaurant and cafe next door 6. Really friendly and helpful staff, always greeting you with a smile or waving of hands!

1. For some reason, my entire room/ side of the building is a bit tilted to one side making it a bit like a downslope from one end of the room to the other. When I realised it I was a bit worried but I guess it's the way the building is built? 2. Room is indeed really small, a bit unexpectedly small, especially the toilet and sink area. Not able to wash my face using the sink without either hitting my head on the shelf above or wetting the toilet floor. Book a bigger room if you are really tall! 3. The entire building is in a triangular formation, so certain room windows are facing towards the adjacent corridor 4. Steps within the floor to reach certain rooms, not very good if you have a lot of luggages. 5. Sound insulation is bad and floorboard keep creaking.

My expectations exceeded as soon as I checked in, the lobby looked like it was from a cover of vouge magazine, absolutely breathtaking. Though the corridor looks a bit dull but as soon as I entered my room I was amazed. It was clean and very well put together. Though the room was small but the way it was styled it made it feel bigger and spacious. The staff are so friendly and are so helpful. Great Location.

Everything was perfect, if there was 1 thing that I would had liked more wash the shower, the water pressure was low and that had to do with the type of shower head that was fitted.

I stayed here around one week and I was a solo traveller. The room, facilities, and location were good for what I needed. The front desk staff were helpful and able to answer all questions. It's about a 30 minute walk to the Sydney Opera House.

The room size, in particular the restroom were slightly small. The reception area was nice, but the corridors slightly outdated and dark. I was told that my security deposit would be returned the same day as checkout. But I am still waiting for it a week later.

The location of the hotel is perfect for anyone wishing to be close both to the CBD and Sydney's many attractions. Hyde Park, the Anzac Memorial, St Mary's Cathedral, the Australian Museum and the Art Gallery of New South Wales are all close by and it's only a walk or short ride on public transport to the Queen Victoria Building, Town Hall, Circular Quay (for the ferries), The Rocks, Harbour Bridge and Opera House. I'd definitely recommend getting an Opal card (which is rechargeable) to facilitate travelling around the city incl. its ferries. Museum station is only five mins walk from the hotel, so it's incredibly handy to transfer from/to the airport by train. The room booked (a mini queen) was very clean and had everything needed for a short stay - it was quiet, had a comfortable bed, Nespresso machine, kettle and tea selection, a mini fridge and a good shower. Staff here were super friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. This hotel is certainly one I'd stay in again on another visit to Sydney.

There is no hotel dining/breakfast available but this was not an issue as there are plenty of cafes and restaurants very close by and in fact they offer a 10% discount for hotel guests at two of them. Standard check-out is 10am, which I knew about when I booked but is a little early if you have the whole day ahead of you. However, they will happily store luggage until later at no extra cost, so it's not a problem.

Location is close to all city attractions and transport. Greeting was very friendly and pre-11am access to the room was offered, with a free fresh coffee in the comfy foyer/workspace . Being greeted by name as we passed reception at various times was impressive!!! It’s a friendly place well set up for working online in the foyer if the room feels a bit too snug.

We were fine with compact and very comfortable room. It is sealed shut though with air-con over the bed. This felt very stuffy in the space. You need to know your travelling companion very intimately in this space!!!!! I’d have no hesitation in recommending this pub for single travellers though as it offers everything else you would need including text invitations to happy hour!!!

I particularly liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff in reception. The room was very clean. I liked that the central station and China town was a short walk and the awesome port was a beautiful walk through the war memorial and botanical gardens. I liked the Veriu breakfast and also huge other choices of venues close by. Easy access to a huge variety of public transport close by also.

I didn’t like the smell from the corridor outside our room on the third floor. I was disappointed with the size of our bedroom. Bed pushed into the wall with no walking access to one side of the bed, a possible health and safety issue.

Great location: a few blocks from Central Train Station, 1.5 mile walk to Circular Quay, Hyde Park, the WWI monument and cathedral nearby. Comfortable room: a junior suite with nice shower, coffee service, table and sofa for relaxing. Two restaurants next door: Mr. Wu’s (Chinese) and Basket Brothers (menu with good variety), both give 10% discount for Veriu guests.

Some traffic noise at night, but that’s to be expected so near the train station.

The rooms were too cute. Very small, but if it's just a couple or single staying, then the smaller rooms are absolutely perfect. The staff were genuinely the loveliest people, very polite, and gave us all the information we needed. You can get a 10% discount at the cafe next door for breakfast if you stay, which was so cool, and they had a happy hour at the bar ! So close to the station, about a 15-20 minute slow walk with a cane. Those able could probably do it in 10 though !

The bed was very very high, I'm quite short and I have a disability which limits my movement and energy, so getting up on the bed was quite a task, I luckily had my partner to assist me though which made it easier. Love that it's pet friendly, but the walls are quite thin. We could hear puppies barking for most of the night. One of the pillows was also quite squishy, which I didn't mind at all, but the other which my partner used was very hard and hurt his neck.

Great central location, modern facilities and interior design, clean and not run-down.

There was nothing major that I didn’t like, however there were couple of things that could be improved: pillows weren’t overly comfortable and there was no extra pillow like there usually is in 4 star hotel rooms. Also, no bedside lamp or even switch was a bit annoying (having to get up and walk to the door to switch lights on or off). Cold and hot shower taps could have signs or letters on them to know which is which. The only bin in the room was in the bathroom and it was tiny.

Check in was very quick even at 23:30 night! Thank you Syd from the reception! Laundry was done on the 2nd day also was super well cleaned! So thank you guys for that too! It costs 38AUD for separate colour washing & 28 if you want it to be washed together. Complimentary tea & coffee were given in each room! That’s very nice! Housekeeping can be done anytime from 10:00–16:00. I recommend you letting the housekeepers clean early so that way you won’t be bothered later. Location wise it’s very convenient too…5-10 min walk to the central train station, you can take the metro train to the airport terminals. Then 5-10 min walk to Chinatown as well! Very good!

Definitely it’s not worth 170$USD a night to stay in this hotel…sink drain is quite slow to absorb water. Bedding & towels all have tiny dust particles on them; you can clearly see it when you shine light on it then wipe it & there they are. Microwave is located on the 2nd floor inside the closet…it might not be a good choice to put a microwave in the closet in case if it catches fire then there goes the whole floor.
