This was my second visit to The Pod Sydney and the property is still amazing to stay at. The pods are as private as you can get (and the largest I've ever seen), super comfortable, and have huge lockers for your things. The property is exceptionally clean including the communal washroom facilities which appear to be cleaned multiple times daily. Showers have excellent water pressure and there are enough of them that I never had to wait. The location is incredible too, right across the street from the World Square shopping centre and about a 10 minute walk from Darling Harbour. In terms of transit there is a tram stop just on the other side of World Square, or it's just a 5 minute walk to Museum Station, and a 7 minute walk from Central Station if you need a proper train to go further afield. Absolutely would not hesitate to stay again.

Can be a little pricey compared to other properties depending on when you book which might be an issue for longer stays, but well worth it for a few nights.

The rooms are so quiet and clean, provides a lot of privacy with the curtains. Really central and grate transparent, active area until late so you find all type of food around, the guy (no sure if owner or admin) was lovely and friendly

The barthrooms were always wet, and to get to the toilets you have to walk through the wet floors. There was a person in the same room who had a alarm that rang probably like 10 times every 5 mins or so, super disrespectful as the person was there and was definitely letting it run knowing there was more pp in the room.

The facility is always kept in pristine condition. The air conditioners keep the entire floor at a comfortable temperature. The guests are quiet and polite, mostly because many of them are Japanese or Korean. The staff is quick to handle any issues. My room was hot in the afternoon and it was quickly resolved. It is close to the Museum and Central Station. There is a gap to store personal items besides the mattress so I don't need to put them on my bed.

The luggage room is locked until around 9 am. Do not store your luggage in it if you leave early in the morning. The European backpackers can be loud sometimes. I cannot think of anything else. It is the best hostel in Sydney.

Good location, friendly staff, cheaper than a hotel in a similar location.

The pods need a fan in them - with the curtain closed there's no airflow and it's stifling. Found it very uncomfortable and didn't sleep well on a warm night. I wouldn't stay again for this reason. The room is very cramped and not much space for luggage - even getting to the locker was a squeeze. Female toilets had a permanent sewerage smell which was unpleasant. Drainage from the showers isn't great so the entire floor is always covered in water, which is a bit annoying if you're just walking through to use the toilet or brush your teeth. Not really the fault of the hostel, but other guests aren't very considerate - every night there were phone alarms, people packing in the very early hours, generally not being quiet while others are sleeping.

It’s an amazing property. Given a choice between a hotel and this hostel, I’ll opt for The Pod Sydney. Beds are large in size. There is enough space and lockers to keep your stuff. Bathrooms, washrooms, kitchen, laundry, reception, everything is on the same floor so it’s very convenient. The staff is super friendly and they go an extra mile to help you get things done. Location is great. Just a five minutes walk and you are at Chinatown station. Lots of eateries and supermarket nearby. The place is neat and clean and it remains quiet all the time. Kudos to team The Pod Sydney.

I was pleasantly surprised at my stay with The Pod Sydney. I've been reading good reviews about it, but of course your own personal experience would vary upon your stay there. Staff were warm and accommodating. The Pod was mostly kept quiet and respectful for all occupants. There were 4 showers and 4 toilets, but never felt busy or crammed at any point I was there. Bed was comfortable and spacious! A plus especially for dorm type hostels. It had thick curtains that added privacy. It was a quick 10 minute walk to Museum or Town Hall station, so you can check your options. Overall a very good pick for any solo traveler's accommodation in Sydney CBD!

Just minor things - maybe toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap bottles) and tissues could be stationed in the shower. A bidet would also be nice for toilets. But overall, there weren't major things to point out.

i really like it being a solo female traveller! staff when arriving were super lovely !! it made me feel extremely safe being there as a solo traveller knowing that i had reception to help me if something was needed!!! beds were super comfy and spacious had room on the side to have my backpack so if i needed anything during the night i could reach and grab it instead of going down from the top bunk also really like how the top bunk wasn’t too tall and the steps to get to the top bunk was easy as a 5 foot girl!! which made me feel safer getting up and down from the top bunk!! the bathrooms were also super clean and never had to wait for the shower!

this can be determined on who is in your room but other people waking up at all hours of the day to get ready and waking people up, had a few people wake up at 5am making noise while getting ready - again this isn’t the property’s fault just luck of the draw sometimes the room got really hot even on a 25 degree day but corridors were nice and cool ! maybe if there was a little fan in each pod would give the person staying some comfort if they got too hot they can put their fan on!

i stayed more than a month in this hostel. The manager is really helpful, and is keen to ensure that everything goes well for everyone. Pods are spacious, with room to leave things on the side. A large locker that can be locked with its own padlock. The kitchen is large and functional, there is space to sit, a comfortable common living area. I will definitely return to this hostel if i come back to Sydney. Thank you for your welcome.

Its new and comfortable. The position is very good, near Town Hall, Chinatown. The bathroom is very clean. The staff is so friendly. You should prepare lock for your locker in the room. The locker is very big. The kitchen is equipped fully (bowl, dishes, knife....). You can cook for yourself. Everything is perfect here. I would like to suggest for everyone if you go to Sydney.

I think It will be better if the hotel have breakfast for everyone (like jam, bread...). Now the hotel has tea and coffee for free.

Central Sydney location. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet thanks to double glazing. No traffic noise. The whole hostel was very clean. The doors to the dorm rooms were quiet soft close doors so they didn't wake you up. Very nice. Nice big lockers. The clientele were quiet, polite and respectful. Security is very good with plenty of cameras to keep everyone safe.

Maybe needs a little more shelf space in the kitchen for food storage.
