Location was very central and handy to transport. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We were in Sydney for City 2 Surf run, the staff kindly extended our check out time so we could shower before heading home

Extra touches like tissues, a variety of teas and no "courtesy" biscuits. These are simple extras that make a big difference.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, always attentive to our needs, which made our experience more comfortable. The location is excellent—very convenient for shopping and just a short walk to George Street, Haymarket, and Chinatown, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The bed was comfortable, clean, and decent, which made for a good night’s rest. Breakfast was also a nice highlight, especially for the prebooked pricew of $20. There was a good selection of hot foods including pancakes, eggs, chips, wedges, juices, and barista coffee—perfect for starting the day before heading out.

The hallway leading to the restaurant could use some improvement, as it felt a bit untidy. A renovation would definitely make the overall atmosphere more inviting.

We stayed at ibis World Square for 6 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient — right in the heart of Sydney, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. It made exploring the city smooth and enjoyable. Our room was clean, functional, and well-maintained throughout our stay. While compact, it had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed and a Wi-Fi connection — although the signal was occasionally weak — which was still helpful for both relaxation and staying in touch with family. We also appreciated the professionalism and friendliness of the front desk staff. They were always ready to assist, whether it was providing directions, arranging transport, or giving helpful local tips. Overall, ibis World Square delivered excellent value for money and was a perfect base for our Easter trip. We would gladly stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a central, well-managed hotel in Sydney.

The overall stay at ibis World Square was pleasant, but one area that could be improved is the Wi-Fi connection. The signal was quite weak at times, which made it difficult to stay consistently connected. For travelers who rely on internet access for planning, communication, or work, this may be a slight inconvenience. Hopefully, the hotel can consider upgrading or stabilizing the network in the future to enhance the guest experience.

The staff and the location were absolutely amazing, really pleased and thankful for all the service. Very happy staff. The location was great, we were in town to a show at the capitol theatre, and it was literally a block away.

We didn't actually get a quilt for the bed. They had sandwiched a mattress topper in between 2 sheets. Being winter, my husband and I froze in the room. We couldn't work out the air-conditioning/heating situation, so it was a bit cold. But it was a somewhat minor issue, and we mainly thought it was odd.

Unfortunately you cannot adapt the temperature of the air-conditioner from your room and it must be done through the front desk. The room was small but fine for purpose. The bathroom was small and had the basic needs. The shower itself was very small and you could not stay in for long as the water did not flow quickly enough out the drain and then leaked into the main part of the bathroom which was also small.

Just as mentioned above. The inability to not change the temperature of the air conditioner and the small shower. The price is a bit high but it's Sydney.

The hotel is in a great location. Easy to walk to from central station and also easy to walk into the city centre and the harbour areas. Staff were lovely and friendly. There was a nice, easy atmosphere. It is an excellent touch that there are both a microwave and a fridge in the room. Fab. Nice refurbished bathroom. Beds were lovely and comfy. All staff were polite when you met them in the corridors. Nicely done entrance bar area.

Room was a little tight on space once you got 2 large suitcases in there. Some of the hotel areas could do with a little updating (breakfast area). It is not obvious if you are allowed to use the stairs ( I prefer to walk up). Breakfast a little basic but still enjoyed it and the coffee was great.

My first review of a hotel ever. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty big. The location is good. Very busy with lots of guests which I actually prefer and the reception team were good :) My stay was a last minute decision, I had no plans to do this but decided to and it worked out really well. Initial thoughts at reception and about hotel was changed to be very positive and I am grateful for everything. Thank you! Brekky was good, only stayed two nights. Other reviews state about the hotel next door being loud, but one night (Boxing day night) was completely fine. The other night I stayed Christmas day so it would have been closed. Hotel housekeepers greet you when you meet them in the lift which was lovely. Slippers provided free of charge when I asked at reception. There is another review about the shower and the potential fine if the fire alarm is set off because of the steam (this review is one which I really appreciated). I admit it stressed me a little bit but I just took short showers. I also kept the door closed (like they ask you to). The lights are very bright and good which I really liked and there is also a black out curtain! Also, bear in mind the key may not work if you keep it too close to your mobile - if so, head down to reception and they will sort it out for you :) Overall thank you very much :)

Right in the middle of the city but 10 mins from train station at Liverpool st. So handy for airport and sights and eating places. Very clean we were on 16th floor lovely and quiet. Lower floors and front can be bit noisy as my son and daughter stayed there but still recommended it. Rooms exceptionally clean, comfortable, modern, great tea coffee facilities. Staff really nice professional and helpful. Lent us brollies and give great info of how to get places. The evening receptionists young lady & man make the best cocktails. The young French receptionist was most helpful and friendly. We had breakfast and it was well worth booking for value, choice and great staff. They kept our luggage until check in and for a while after check out. This is so good when you have an hr or two to wait for flights. Highly recommend this Ibis for the hospitality. Would stay again. On both our stays , we found staff on front reception, especially Patrick to be exceptionally helpful and prompt in replying to any queries or issues we had. Complimentary breakfast and room service for my aged mum to compensate for stair lift not working.

Lift to breakfast area got stuck with my aged mum . But staff were very accomatating with this by giving us a complimentary and room service breakfast to our room to help my mum Assisted to taxi waiting area with my mum and luggage , but found traffic and pick up for taxi area outside motel very unsafe

The room was clean, looks newly refurbished The bed is comfortable with all lighting fixtures in good position and placement Microwave in the room is so handy to reheat our food and make coffee The soap and shampoo are big bottles attached on the wall, very sustainable while the soap scent is just divine The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, we got upgraded to higher floor. We were also offered a welcome drink due to one of the lift is currently being maintained which is truly appreciated Location is very central, close to the central station (7 mins walk), 8 mins from China town, Asian shops and restaurants are nearby, 10 mins from QVB, tram stop is just 3 mins away to go to Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, or the Rocks Airflow is central so need to ask reception to adjust the flow in your room if you feel cold, as the fitted aircon is only for cooling.
