Very good location, very friendly and helpful staff and nice big rooms with good facilities.

The a la carte breakfast had variable portion sizes and contents from day to day, restaurant staff could be more attentive

Excellent location close to restaurants, Darling Harbour and transport, roof top heated pool had a great view of city and staff were helpful . Very fresh nuts in the breakfast options and at breakfast you could make your own juices with their blender,. I enjoyed their poached apricots which I added on the muesli.

There was a little noise from pipes or heating unit above us on the 8th floor, Room temperature setting could not be lowered to 18 for more comfortable sleep at night. Breakfast cooked menu (mainly centred around eggs sweep offerings) did not change over our 4 days and its coffee, premade apple juice and smashed avocado options were a little poor compared to typical Cafe offerings. Actually the coffee machine in your room did a much better job. The modest quality of the cooked breakfast options dissuaded me from having dinner there when, after all, there are so many options outside.

Breakfast was so-so. My meal was cold, told the salsa was meant to be cold but even the eggs and sourdough were cold. We were put in a booth which meant I continually had to ask our daughter to get up so I could get out. These wall / booth seats are terrible for buffet style breakfasts. The staff member serving us was rather unfriendly. However, the staff on reception were excellent. Our daughter became unwell with a chest infection that weekend and they allowed us a late check out so she could sleep until midday on Sunday, she was so unwell. The reception staff were beautiful.

We loved the sustainability initiatives such as the refillable water bottles and water stations, along with the re-usable total bag supplied in room. The room was very large and comfortable, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The property is very well located for the Pitt Street and George Street shopping precincts. Breakfast was also very nice and worth the extra $25 per head. Restaurant staff were also lovely.

It is called a Darling Harbour property, but it is still a bit of a walk to Darling Harbour, and certainly has no view of the harbour, but in saying that it was also only a short walk to the Pitt Street and George Street mall shopping precincts, and both the State Theatre and the Theatre Royal. The pool area could definitely do with more shade, maybe just one or two more umbrellas. The other issue I have with all Sydney based properties is the exorbitant cost of parking, which isn’t included in the room rate.

Great Continental Breakfast with choice of a la carte item from the menu. Staff at LA Bella were terrific and provided a birthday pastry. Reception area/Concierge Employees were always willing to help. From giving us directions, suggestions, arranging taxis, and replacing a broken kettle. Welcome chocolates were appreciated along with fresh fruit on a couple of other days. Room was satisfactory. Upgraded to a "City View" which we were told upon check-in that it's really a "Street View". Central location; easy walking distance to Darling Harbour, the Aquarium, Restaurants, QVB, Light Rail, etc. Would stay again, but would not upgrade the room or visit the Bar.

Difficult time getting Face Towels replaced. Only one is provided if at all. Called Houskeeping once and asked an employee that was cleaning another room a second time. Although we could have called Housekeeping, Coffee and Tea were not restocked. While this may not be the hotel's responsibility, the street fronting the hotel had accumulated many cigarette butts. Drinks downstairs at the Bar were sorrily lacking. It seemed that the liquor was a 1oz pour into a large glass. One drink looked like it was all milk with no liquor. Would not recommend.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic. We loved the pool area as well. The water cooler on each floor was great as well.

The basin in the bathroom was a bit high. Not a huge deal but for some reason felt higher than usual.

Fantastic location. Walking distance to QVB and to chinatown, there was endless options for shopping and food. The breakfast was excellent; I loved that I was able to customise my fruit juice daily with fruits array for us to juice. We get a menu at breakfast to order a selection of breakfast sets. We tried everything as we stayed for 7 days. Other than the bacon not being cooked crisp (how I am used to eating it locally), everything was top notch. Daily latte served was good too. Staff service was excellent and we were always greeted by smiles. The hotel room was nicely renovated and looked modern and luxurious.

Alas, this fantastic hotel was marred by poor housekeeping. On the first day, there was hair on the bed. Subsequently everyday, hair on the floor (mine) was not completely cleared. I even killed a tiny spider in the toilet. They did not replace the body foam when it was finished (we left a note prior to request top up) and tissues in the box. Thankfully, we called for top up at the reception which was kindly received. We used the gym once and saw a cockroach travelling across the wall! We left it alone, and left unscathed.

The room was spacious, clean, and the two beds were big enough for 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 child. The hotel was close to public transports, restaurants, and tourist attractions. The staff were friendly and professional.

The number of spaces in the carpark were not enough. When we first entered the carpark, there was no space at all in B4 and B5 where hotel guests were supposed to park their car. It was prepaid and I had to wait until someone left the carpark. I was lucky that I did not have to wait for long. They should have saved the spot for those who have pre-paid for the carpark.

I booked a standard room with 2 single beds for my sister and myself. My sister has limited funds as a pensioner. They said that this configuration was unable and we had to upgrade to 2 x queen beds at and extra cost of $180 for the visit. I was very unimpressed with this. If we were able to book this why was it unavailable. Not very happy. May reconsider staying here in future

The bed was very comfy. I was very happy to be allowed an early check in, was worth the extra cost after travelling with a small baby. Breakfast was awesome, very happy with the food and loved being able to make our own juice. Also loved the big shower, USB points near the bed, water bottles, and being able to get the baby portable cot. Also glad to be able to store the cases for a few hours after checkout. Oh and we loved being able to chromecast to the TV. I almost forgot to mention that we loved the Crowne Kangaroo stuffed toy the staff gave to my 8 month old grandson, he really loved it!

The app did not work for us until the last day. I probably would have ordered room service if we had a menu and prices available. The pool had bits of paper floating in it like tissue or toilet paper. It was difficult to get a taxi in the location, and it is a small walk uphill to public transport. These were minor for us, and we truly enjoyed our stay at the Crowne, would recommend to others and would definitely stay again. Thank you for a wonderful few days.
