We loved absolutely everything. From the awesome welcome and farewell from our two Kiwi receptionists (and the upgrade to a larger unit, thankyou) through to the very comfortable unit, onto the amazing pools and lastly the fun evening we had at the bar (which we eventually got to enjoy)Thankyou Mr Barman and your funny cohorts for all the laughs and yummy cocktails 🍸 Also a big thankyou Carolynne for booking those wonderful excursions for us. We have come home with some amazing photos and memories. Mango Lagoon Resort is a credit to each and everyone of you....including the cleaners and gardeners. An oasis Renovations complete the vibe is relaxed Great cafe and spa onsite and the tropical gardens and huge pools are lush Set back from the beachfront means it’s quieter yet a gate at the back means you are just a block from the hotel and bottle shop and access to the beach We booked a BUDGET room and were surprised to see fully renovated modern and light with microwave kettle crockery (no toaster) extra touches like separate mini wardrobe and drawers towel racks and hooks for towels and beach gear iron and board air con or desk fan made a comfortable stay For longer stays the other units are VERY spacious with fully equipped kitchens Garden and maintenance staff do a great job

Sad to see suburbia closing in and many small business owners have moved on

Our accommodation was lovely modern, well equipped and clean, it had everything we needed for a very comfortable 5 day stay. The grounds were beautifully kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would have loved to see a gym at the resort, a cafe with food would have been a great touch, but we didnt miss those things too much as we self catered and dined out through the week. All in all, a delightful stay and we would be happy to come back again.

The positives outweighed any negatives.

To begin with, Matt went out of his way to find us the best room to fit our needs. It was perfect. Carolynne was also very helpful at reception. The location was ideal and only a short walk to pub, restaurants, beach and supermarket. The 50c bus and bus stop to Cairns was nearby so we went into cairns on 2 separate days.

There was nothing we didn't like😜

Lovely guy at the bar got the keys for us and was very helpful. The apartment was beautiful - very clean and spacious and had a washing machine and dryer which was great. It was also great having no interruptions by people wanting to clean the apartment. And we all enjoyed the pool outside our unit which had a shallow area for the 3 year old who is still learning to swim.

My niece thought a cafe that served breakfast would have been nice but i thought it was great that there was no restaurant on site as the place was very quiet (except when there were children in the pool). And i enjoyed trying different restaurants in the area. Trinity beach had a great club with good food and a play area for the kids. I was sorry that we were told to leave no food in the apartment and that there was nowhere to leave unopened food so we had to bin it.

Lovely lush tropical setting, super spacious and very well maintained with 4 great pools. You can hear the lovely sound of local birds at night and It has a very relaxed, zen vibe tucked away but only a short stroll to beach and esplanade with restaurants and shops. The layout of the appartement was great and it was very well maintained with cute beach styling and exceptionally clean throughout. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would absolutely love to return!

Nothing! We only had 1 tiny suggestion to maybe place another towel rail in bathroom for the larger towels.

The pools were amazing

The only thing we were concerned about was the shower was in the bathtub and elderly people may struggle with that

Staff were excellent - every single one we encountered was friendly and interactive, nothing was a bother and they always offered to help. Loved the BBQ area with a fridge and cooking oils etc all the little extras were much appreciated. Kids loved the communal pool toys and we were able to donate some on our departure. Loved the coffee machine and cocktail hour. Very reasonable cost for an extra bed (and it was a bed!) in our apartment.

Our unit didn’t have fly screens which was a bit annoying but most of the others did. Everything else was great!!

The overall room was amazing and having a ground floor apartment was fantastic. Large King bed and great size fridge.

The air conditioning did not work and the fan over our bed only had one speed which was a little annoying. It was a little far from the main street in Palm Cove where all the restaurants were and trying to get parking was a nightmare.
