I loved the layout of the Mountain Sanctuary B&B. It has a communal lounge with a fireplace, a communal kitchen with a fridge, microwave and kitchen utensils etc, a communal TV room, a BBQ area. Helen and Peter, our hosts, were very friendly and helpful. They also gave us a bottle of local Sparkling Wine to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The Continental Breakfast was plentiful and Helen ensured we had warm croissants every morning. There are only 3 Suites and ours was the biggest Suite, The Palm Grove Suite which was located on a corner of the house so we had nice views of the Garden and a balcony with table and chairs. Our Suite had a Spa bath which we didn't use unfortunately, a couple of bottles of water, a variety of tea sachets, coffee sachets, a small carton of milk, toiletry items. The location was only a couple of minutes drive to Gallery Walk on Mt Tambourine with quirky shops galore, Cafes, Restaurants etc.

The mattress and chairs were a bit soft for us with back and mobility issues but I resolved that with putting pillows on the chair.

Breakfast options varied and plentiful. The kitchen was perfect for us and the lounge areas and dining room excellent. The pademelons and cockatoos provided entertainment during breakfast, plus the outside eating area was excellent. Our room was very comfortable and super clean. Hosts Helen and Peter friendly and helpful.

The weather extremely wet for our 2 night visit and limited our exploration of the area. Luck of the draw!

Helen and Peter were amazing. They let us check in early as we had arrived earlier than expected. We had both breakfast options during our stay and they were honestly the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Lots of options to choose from. And the music playlist they had playing during breakfast was lovely. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were amazing, very soft. The private bathroom was very spacious. The spa bath was superb. I am 5 foot 8 and was able to stretch out completely with room to spare. Shower pressure was strong, and the shower itself was huge. The private balcony was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was completely sound proof which was great. They had undercover parking and the grounds themselves were flat and everything was easily accessible. The property and surrounding areas were breathtaking. Had everything I could want and more and will definitely be back if I’m ever in QLD again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Sanctuary B&B. The location of the property is great. We walked to the restaurants, shops and Fortitude brewery on Long Road (The Gallery Walk). The Palm Grove rainforest walking circuit is only 100 m down the road. Further shops and restaurants are only 3 km (5 mins drive) away. The hosts, Helen & Peter, are very welcoming people and do their best to make you feel at home. It was great to enjoy breakfast with the birds having their breakfast outside the window of the breakfast room.

1) Amazing Host. Helen was very nice to deal with and responded quickly to emails 2) Ideal location (quiet & close to shops and walking tracks) 3) Good value for money 4) Clean and well maintained rooms 5) Netflix in room was a great idea 6) Good to be able to access a BBQ for cooking meals

1) The bench space in the rooms to prepare meals and coffee was not practical 2) The room fridge was too small 3) Air Conditioning in the room not working properly 4) Maybe a little more variety to the Continental breakfast would help (eg fruit)

The accommodation was exceptional a fully shared house, kitchen, lounge and dining area, very comfortable bedroom, king size bed, large bathroom with a spa. Located in the heart of Tamborine close to Gallery Walk, eating places, wineries, water falls. The hosts were very friendly, hospitality next to none, breakfast wonderfully prepared and delicious.

This place was a real Sanctuary- we had a wonderful room with a spa bath en-suite and the house was immaculate and had everything we needed. We had the continental breakfast (included) which was plentiful and tasty and we also had a cooked breakfast (extra) one day, brought to our room which was freshly prepared and delicious.

The Breakfast was amazing. The best continental breakfast ever. Lovely seating area inside and outside. Warm and inviting, soft music in the background while watching the bird outside fly in for their breakfast at the same time. If you didn't want to stay in your room. There were other rooms to relax in. The Spa bath in the room was a great way to finish your evening. Well done Helen and Pete

Couldn’t reach the blinds behind spa bath Had to get husband to climb into bath to close Need some kind of “stick” to close ‘ Pathways are Not safe to walk to restaurants at night Would be great if the hosts had liquor license - could stay there !!!

We loved the setting and the room was fantastic 👏 and clean. Helen and Peter are so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely recommend a stay at their beautiful place. Room had a patio that is also secluded.
