The location is great, right in the heart of Glenelg, just a short one-minute walk to the beach, park, restaurants, shops and tram, the bus stop is right outside the front door. We had stayed here 10 years ago and coincidentally had the same room, which was very spacious and well stocked, the room was cleaned daily, the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We were there this January with temperatures in the mid to high 30s, there is no air conditioning in the hallways. The room we stayed in had a balcony but there is no access to it (probably due to safety reasons) and the windows can't be opened for fresh air.

More attention to detail when cleaning. There was a very noticeable layer of dust covering the skirting boards, behind the bed and bedside tables and behind the wall-mounted TV in the unit. More attention to the initial street view of the property is needed. The entrance to the unit was directly off Colley Street and street appeal for the motel is sadly underwhelming. The garden beds need pruning and weeding. The security gate and glass doors leading to the unit were grubby. However, these are all minor details that can be easily fixed by paying more attention to these areas with a good wash down and in no way detracted from our stay.

The location is close (within 39 seconds to 5 minutes maximum).walk to everything (transportation, entertainment for kids and adults, shops, restaurants, the beach and park areas and walkways along the beach front. Free and secure parking for guests. Staff available at the check in desk from 7am to 11pm.

No lifts available, so you may require more than one trip to the car and back for luggage, unless you're travelling very light. The beds were very hard, but that is likely a personal preference issue. Although it is a room with a balcony, there is no access (locked closed).We were looking forward to relaxing on it when the little on was asleep. We weren't aware there was no access until after we were in the room. It's disappointing, but we coped.

The location of the hotel is excellent, just steps away from the waterfront, tram and a multitude of restaurants and cafes. The room had a lounge and a small dining table and chairs. The bed was comfortable and if you did not wish to have the maid service daily then they left you a pack of clean towels, soaps and toilet paper rolls outside your door. Will definitely stay here again when next in Adelaide.

Aside from a teaspoon with the tea making equipment there was zero cutlery in the room, only 2 dinner plates and no bowls. Given the microwave, toaster and dining facilities provided, this seems a real oversight.

On arrival we had one night at Ensenada then we were moved to The George Hotel as Ensenada was closing. The George, although not finished, is lovely. We were the first occupants and apart from one or two very minor things, everything was wonderful. The restaurant and rooftop bar not open yet, but Glenelg has lots of bars, restaurants and cafes.

I look for comfort of bed, plenty of pillows, and cleanliness-passed easily! Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided, also Microwave, kettle, tv. Plenty of storage, ironing board and an umbrella! Bathroom is clean, towels and toiletries provided daily. Housekeeping were brilliant, friendly, kept the room very clean. Cant fault our stay at all, will definitely be staying and recommending the Motel.

Nothing but positive feedback

We loved the location, so close to everything and the staff were fantastic. They allowed a super early check in which made things much easier. The bed was very comfortable, had a really good night's sleep. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The hotel is nice but needs a good clean, lots of cobwebs and bugs around the skirting on the roof above the staircase, our room had water marks all over roof, looks like the whole room needs to be replastered. If they spent some money on upgrades this would make it a top hotel. A few things mentioned in the compendium didnt seem to be available so perhaps that also needs to be updated.

Staff were great. Rooms had been refurbished and very clean. On site car parking. Great location.

Thin walls. You can hear everything in other rooms. The moron in the next room had his TV on full all our last night right up until we left, and we didn’t get any sleep. We were going to leave at 9.00am but ending up vacating at 6.30am as it was driving us insane.

The rooms are nice, check-in easier, close to Mosley Square, and the beach is a 5 minute walk. Heaps of restaurants, pubs, and cafes. The property is clean and quiet except on Friday nights when the nearby pubs are fully packed.

The property needs to ensure the parking lots are efficiently allocated (smaller cars on smaller lots and larger cars on larger lots unless not practical).

The motel was right in the heart of Glenelg. The room was small but had everything you need and was cleaned every day. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Someone was smoking so the smoke and smell entered my bathroom through the open window. The person next door , had their heater on all night - cutting in and out for hours. It was hard to sleep.
