The location is great, easy access to both the train station and Drouin township. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Was a nice day so we sat on the balcony for a while and had a cuppa. The hotel is on a main road so plenty of traffic passing by, but it wasn't noisy at night and we slept well. We appreciated the additional pillows in the wardrobe. We stayed on a Sunday night and the bistro was quite busy but we managed to get a table for two as walk-ins. Recommend booking if there's a group of you. Meal was great, we both had garlic prawns and cocktails. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

No-one told us the checkout procedure for in the morning, and there wasn't anyone around that we could see when we left, so we just left our key in the door.

Room did not include breakfast, but would have been nice. That's something they should offer. Clean, comfortable and appropriate for my needs. I liked the various names of the rooms - it's a bit different than just numbers.

The view out of the room was just onto some back area and tin roof. At least it wasn't noisey and I didn't see anyone in the yard. I still prefer that than having a generic poster stuck on the window.

Location was great short walk to town. Room was clean and comfortable.

No communication that the bar and bistro were closed until the 8th January. No information provided to tell us who to contact upon arrival luckily we asked the nice staff member in the bottle shop. Turns out he had our key and information. Balcony could have been cleaned as was dirty.

Beautifully renovated, very clean and comfortable. Easy access to very good meals and drinks downstairs.

The bathroom was beautiful but there were no rails for the towels to dry and, in the absence of a daily change of towels, we used damp towels for our extended stay. Lighting was just adequate - there was no light in the toilet part of the bathroom (Isobel), there were no reading lamps on the bedend (bedside lamp was a mood lamp only) which were needed because the room light is inadequate for reading. The room picks up a lot of road noise from early morning to late night.

I am somewhat disabled, and I gagged a little when I saw the stairs, however the staff were most helpful and assisted me with my bags and also obliged by bringing my meal upstairs to my room. The meal was excellent and great value. The staff were great.

Just the stairs were really the only downside.

Firstly, the location is pretty well convenient. It's about 200metres or so from the train station (which don't leave regularly but that's not a hotel issue). It's an easy check-in - you get assigned a room with a name, I stayed in the EDWARD room and it's quiet - you can hear the hum of the bands playing in the hotel, or the traffic but nothing bad at all. You're pretty close to all places like eateries, as mentioned the train station, parks, reserves and walking areas. The bathroom is a good size, all in well-kept condition, the beds are comfortable and the fridge/microwave/kettle area is really well placed. All in all, a very good find in a nice town.

Very little. I didn't much like the view out the window (it just looks over a tin roof) but nobody's going to admire the views from their window/s.

The room was clean and comfortable and not much noise at night to keep us awake. The food in the bistro was very good as was the service. In fact all staff were very helpful and pleasant. The Hotel was situated on the road we needed to travel on to the funeral we were attending during our stay so very convenient for that.

Would have appreciated a towel rail in the bathroom. Getting luggage up and down stairs from the car which we had to park at the back of the Hotel was difficult as both I and the person travelling with me are older and suffer with poor lung capacity but we were aware of the stairs before we arrived. A breakfast option would be an improvement, even if it was only a packet of cereal in the room.

The room was lovely and clean, very comfy bed and the balcony was great. It was surprisingly quiet considering you are upstairs from a bar and bistro.

The location is quite busy so there is a bit of road noise, I’m a light sleeper so it wasn’t ideal for that reason.

Always the location and friendliness of staff

I was apparently upgraded as the cleaner took off sick and quite honestly I much preferred the room I booked as I’ve stayed there many times before. The room they put me in had a smell, almost seweragy. Wasn’t pleasant and the tv looked smaller

The room was clean. It had everything we needed for a one night stay. Staff were friendly. Easy access to parking. The meals at the pub downstairs had generous servings. The location is an easy walk to the train station and shops. We had breakfast at the French inspired bakery in Drouin. It was delicious.
