Absolutely lovely B&B for a gorgeous getaway. Kim was hospitable and warm, and even offered to upgrade our room! We came with our 3yo, and he loved exploring the surrounding, visiting the chicks, goat and sheep. We made a small dinner in the common kitchen which was nicely equipped! Breakfast was delicious, with homemade breads and eggs from the chicks. Thanks again Kim for a beautiful stay. Will come back.

Kim, the most welcoming, smiliest hostess and congenial breakfast cook of our entire global travels. The view of her front gardens and the mountain foliage beyond to the horizon is priceless. Our room with full bathroom (at the back) was large and very comfortable. A large deck to the side has a bbq and outdoor dining facilities, and there’s a veranda at the front with comfy chairs. The immediate mountain scenery is beautiful as are the many Yarra Valley wineries within easy driving access. Just minutes away is Warburton offering grocery stores, cafes and restaurants. Buttercup Hill is a sanctuary of peace and tranquility and beauty, all ideally located.

Lovely little house with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Cosy and vintage. The rooms were quite cute and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was quite good, nicely prepared and with eggs laid at the premises.

The place is not children-friendly, without entertainment or equipment of any kind. It made things a bit harder for the family, as well as for a couple that was also staying at the B&B.

Kim is the hostess with the mostess! She is a bright, positive, engaging, affirming Dutch dynamite who welcomes so warmly that she leaves you questioning whether you have met before! Warburton is truly a wonderful Tuscany-beating slice of Victoria's trees paradises, and having a stay with Kim at Buttercup Hill just makes it that exquisitely more delightful.

We didn't like the fact that we only stayed 2 nights

Buttercup Hill is absolutely charming. Imagine part lodge, part guesthouse & wholly delightful. Please if you are planning to stay anywhere close by book Buttercup Hill. It is that special. Kim cooks the most delicious breakfasts and biscuits!. The garden is climbs up and around the house with sheep, chooks, visiting deer and what seems like hundreds of tiny finches. This would be a fabulous place for a family get together especially in winter around the log fire.

Gorgeous! Half way up a hill, surrounded by trees and garden, rustic house, open fire. Impeccably clean. Could not rate our host Kim highly enough - very helpful and a really, really nice lady. She runs a fabulous business.

The room heating was perfect but I’m terrible when it’s cold - an electric blanket would be great. Not a complaint at all - room heating was very good.

Super friendly and helpful host. Cooked a delicious breakfast for everyone in the morning in the shared dining area and catered for my gluten free diet with no issues. Even made some gluten free cookies which were yum. Beautiful views of the surrounding area from the verandah, lovely gardens to walk around and lots of lovely birds. The property was kept in immaculate condition.

Nothing, but it wouldn't be suitable for those that don't wish to interact with others

Gorgeous spot. Quiet, leafy with visiting cockatoos. Beautiful house with a verandah that’s perfect for reading with a morning coffee. Superb fully cooked breakfast. Wonderful host (Kim) who obviously loves what she does and makes sensational cookies! Fabulous night away from Melbourne.

breakfast was delicious and Kim is wonderful. She's a great host! The b&b is awesome with great views and you wouldn't want anything else. You can BYO your own dinner if you want and use the kitchen and dining area. Kim was very friendly and accomodating. I would recommend Buttercup hill. I would definitely come again and we stayed here and used it as a base as we were doing the yarra valley wine tour. The cottage is quaint and has character. what more can I say? Go and stay there! you will love it!

It was quite uphill so I couldnt go down or up on foot.

We absolutely loved our stay at Buttercup Hill. From the moment we arrived, Kim the Host greeted us. The house and our room were stunning. Everything was perfect for our 1st wedding anniversary stay. Our breakfasts were to die for with a very generous serving. Thank you, Kim for this beautiful place for us to stay. We will definitely be back
