Most likely the best intuitive decision I made for a well deserved R&R! I found a gem right in the mountain cradle of Warburton! Only 20 mins walk to La La Falls trail and a bit less to town and river front. This 100 year old conference centre is full of charm with spacious and comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by lush garden, established and fragrant trees that immediately gives you a sense of serenity and gorgeous bird life! The bonus is watching the mist move up the mountain side. The reception was warm and inviting. I was very pleased to discover that Green Gables has an open kitchen for breakfast and dinner on weekend! Couldn't ask for more! Chef Emma offers beautifully cooked comfort food utilising local produce. The prices are very reasonable with generous portions. The dining hall and lounge offers great ambiance any time of day. A fire is lit in the evening which invites us to come have conversations by the fire before the meal. These attention to providing comfort and make guests feel welcomed is offered sincerely by a young progressive crew which I feel paint a bright picture for the future times to come. I absolutely loved my time at Green Gables. I was a bit reluctant to blurt out this review - wanting to keep this secret gem to myself but I would recommend a stay here anytime and will definitely make my way back for more!

Beautifully landscaped property. Plenty of parking. I was upgraded to a King room for free upon check in. They let me check out 20 minutes late so I could repack my bags and let me hang out in the common area and use the WiFi after checkout. There was a free breakfast but I didn't realise this until I already ate my own food. There was plenty of coffee and tea in the room along with several appliances.

Bathroom window is always vented to prevent moisture from building up in the bathroom, but this can make the bathroom chilly on cold nights. I recommend closing the bathroom door to keep the room warm.

The bed was made with crisp clean sheets and a variety of pillows, including low (which I love!!!). I had a beautiful view of tree ferns from my room. It was very quiet and had an awesome lounge/dining area to hang out in next to a huge fireplace. It is an old resort which is being brought back to life. It was quirky but charming. I loved it - reminding me of the resort in Dirty Dancing for some reason. It is close to La La falls if you feel like a 3km pleasant hike.

My cold shower tap needed a new washer - it dripped constantly and even splashed through the shower curtain, wetting the floor.

Staff was super accommodating with dietary requirements, hotel room was clean, quiet and comfy with a lovely view and the food was absolutely amazing! Stir fry or roast beef in the evening and the price also included dessert and tea. Breakfast was the best we have had anywhere and included fried cabbage, pumpkin, spicey beans, baked potatoes and avocado alongside bacon, all for 10 dollars per person! It was so tasty! If we are ever back in the area this will be our first choice to stay. Highly rated!

I loved being surrounded by gorgeous nature. The fern view from our room was unreal. We stayed warm, the aircon is new and works perfectly. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It’s very close to Lala waterfalls, you can just walk there. The host is very sweet, very approachable and was in contact even at 10 pm. Wi-Fi is quick and stable.

Nothing. I also was careless and forgot my charger in the room, the host was so sympathetic that she mailed me it back! Couldn’t be more happy! Thank you so so much again!

It's an unique place with open terrenced landscape and rustic charm. The surrounding is beautiful and you can imagine the old glory of the buildings. A cultured person is more likely to appreciate the place while high maintenance people, seeking mostly comfort may need to rethink. I consider myself as high maintenance, yet I easily put up with it for the unique charm. For example, there is even a macau temple in the hotel, littered with artifacts from centuries ago. All in all, I already miss this place and will definitely be coming back soon!

Beautiful location, not too far from the centre of town. Tucked away enough so that there was a feeling of being hidden away. Nice walkways between rooms, lit well enough at nightto ensure you could see wherd you were going, but not too bright as to make it feellike the middle of the day. nice cosy sort of place

Parking was a bit chaotic. No defined spaces, so it was hard to fit in all of the cars for all of the rooms. The main entrance hall could do with a bit of a refresh - looked like it hadn't seen a paintbrush in 20 years

I always stay here when I visit Warburton , which is frequently ...I love the history and being able to wander around at will ....The property is substantial but the owners and staff try their very best to keep on top of everything ...I request the same room every time and it is always ready, clean and well equipped ...it was extremely windy when I stayed and hence tv reception was dodgy , but they did their best to fix the situation for me !

Set in beautiful surroundings so you feel like you are right in the rainforest. The room was spacious and very well appointed with quality linen. Even though they had a function on that evening, the noise in the room was barely noticeable and didn't disturb my sleep at all. If you wanted to hold a function, this would be an excellent venue with plenty of on-site accommodation.

The stairs! There are a lot of stairs, so sadly this is definitely not for those with mobility issues.

Everything was great for me — definitely good value for the price. The staff were very responsive, friendly, and kind. The carpet and bed looked new, and the room we got was clean and perfect. We felt comfortable with everything. The WiFi was also reliable. The bed and pillows might be a little soft for some, but they were perfect for us.

The shower head was a little low for me, and it would be great if the towels could be updated with new ones.
