1. The location, It was perfect for my trip to see the snow on the summit of Mt Donna Buang and my wish came through, and I saw snow for the first time during my visit! I was lucky as it snowed that night and saw snow on the 24/7/25. I was there from the 23-25/07/2025 There’s also a great walk along the Yara River, so beautiful and peaceful. The gardens around the motel is really beautiful too, loved walking through the lane with the big trees on the side. There’s lots of other interesting places to visit nearby which I didn’t have time to do! 2. The motel facilities are great! Loved the outdoor kitchen, the outdoor sitting spaces, and the best part was the fire pit!!! Had another couple join me and we sat by the fire with our drinks, chatted and looked at the stars! Nothing beats that!

Absolutely loved our stay at Warburton Motel! The property was beautiful both inside and out. The rooms were spotless, vibrant, and thoughtfully styled with charming retro vibes. Communication with staff was smooth and stress-free, and accessing the room and key was a breeze. The outdoor area was outstanding from the cozy fire pit and hammock to the inviting seating spaces, it was the perfect spot to relax and catch up with friends. The subtle terrestrial lighting outside also made for incredible stargazing each night. I stayed during winter and had a fantastic time, but I’m already planning to return in summer. I can only imagine how amazing it will be then!

Ample parking, was greeted by the lovely Richard when we arrived who gave us tips on where to visit for the day which we really appreciated as we enjoyed all the stops – Rainforest Gallery, Mt Donna Buang summit and the Cement Creek Redwood Forest. He even went as far as to recommend the best times to visit based on the weather and how busy each site would be. The room was clean, really cool retro vibe. Surprisingly cool inside with only a fan to cool, despite the burning hot weather outside. They've done a lovely job with the place, we even spent time outside on the hammock and seating provided in the communal areas. Would definitely come back, and recommend to others!

To enter the Warburton Motel, it's quite a sharp right turn amidst the bushes. This was a bit tricky to spot, especially at night. When leaving the parking spot, you have to drive down a steep, slightly narrow driveway. Nothing too much to stress about, I would recommend just being careful when driving in and out of the property.

The room was very clean. One of the staff kindly asked if I needed anything. The facilities are limited, but they let you know. The room was basic but neat and, again, very clean. Bed was super comfy, had the best nights sleep I had in ages. The location was very nice, I was constantly walking back and forth from the main street since it was a perfect distance to see so much of the local beauty in one walk. It has beautiful paths even just around it. I think the peaceful atmosphere made is much easier to handle being scared about the scorpion. I was very brave about it.

The community kitchen is very basic. They do have some extra supplies for an additional cost, tho. The room for a single main queen is hardcore motel vibes, small but enough room for a weekend. I'm not sure about the cost as I booked late and there was a festival on so it makes sense but it still seemed a small amount over priced by about twenty dollars ($20). Or maybe like some noodles in the cupboard, idk.

Rooms were clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful view of the hills and loved sitting on the balcony bird watching in the morning. We found the guest book very helpful and was a lovely touch. Really enjoyed our stay at the Warbuton Motel!

Had a bit of trouble with the lock on our room as the key was a bit fiddly and kept getting stuck, but didn’t cause any major dramas. Location is a little far from shops and restaurants but an easy drive in!

Very comfortable and ease of checking in/viewing own booking portal is a plus

Probably 'nit picking' but if you have shared kitchen facilities (if room doesn't have them), it would help If those facilities were fully enclosed and not just a covered shelter outside... I was preparing some food for my daughter early morning and it was freezing and wet... Great facilities if camping but not when paying pricey small room rate

The Warby provided a comfortable and lovely stay while my partner and I explored the Yarra Valley & Warburton. The facilities inside our room were exceptionally comfy and clean. We loved having a drink using the outdoor shared spaces in the evening to unwind after our explorations. Plenty of seating spaces were outside for other guests to sit out among the trees and gardens. Our favourite was the firepit seating area.

The parking is on unmarked gravel terrain which is slightly angled. It can be a bit tricky if most spots are taken, however, I do believe that there is more parking just below the motel if need be.

The location was excellent. The owner / operators running it were very attentive and made it a seamless stay. Really unique set up with access to a firepit, across the road from a playground, the mountains just up the road, and the room was excellent with really comfy beds and great value for money. There was also guest information with lots of advice on where to eat and what attractions to see - with links to more about them, which was all really helpful.

The family who hosts the property are so friendly and such lovely people. I booked an River Tube tour and rented also a mountain-bike, as they offer it for better prices then others in town. The room was super clean, it is an very quiet neighbourhood and the only thing you hear are animals like birds. You are surrounded by nature. I arrived by car, was also no problem (plenty of space). The famous Yarra Valleys Wineries are also only a 30min drive away. I already looking forward for my next stay.

Everything was perfect

This is THE best motel I have stayed in. It was clean, very comfortable and the views are just beautiful. It was so nice walking into the room and it was so warm and cosy. The electric blankets were a treat.

Nothing I didn't like. The location is superb. I will definitely stay again. The Yarra Valley is gorgeous and I wasn't disappointed. I adored being in nature and seeing and hearing all the beautiful birds, especially my favourite Kookaburras. 😍
