We loved our stay in the cottage as part of our honeymoon roadtrip, it's so nice to be surrounded by so many plants on the porch and wake up to the sound of birds chirping! The cottage is spacious and has a separate living room and bedroom which is ideal when you want to read a book but your partner wants to watch tv. The host suggested we go for a walk to spot some seals and dolphins and we were lucky to see some seals. At night it's so peaceful that you can hear the ocean. We got all we needed from the stay and will definitely recommend to any of our friends who might be visiting Australia!

Great accommodation for 2 people. Lovely quiet location with plants and garden providing privacy. Comfortable king size bed and great shower with plenty of hot water. Recliner rockers in the lounge were very comfortable.

In the kitchen there was only 2 of everything - plates, bowls, cutlery etc. This meant a bit of dishwashing between meals but this is a very minor complaint

The cottage offered was lovely, homey, simple, and comfortable. It had all that you needed! The cottage was full of charm and personality, from the pieces of original artwork to the lovely and comfortable lounge room to the outdoor decking/sunroom that overlooks the water. We had the company of the very friendly black swans when sitting out on the deck! Peter and Gillian are lovely hosts who encouraged you to feel at home in their unique cottages. We loved it....thanks so much for that added attention to detail that your accommodation offers! It's a short, easy stroll into town along the path that runs along the water...about 1.5km away.

We loved the outdoor seating for bad weather, the lovely garden surrounds, views of the water, pelicans and swans. This cottage also had the most comfortable chairs we have ever found in any accommodation. In fact we pretty much liked everything. The decor was tasteful and it was spotlessly clean.

Although a minor issue, we found the lighting not good enough for reading unless sitting in the kitchen.

A really comfy, clean and well-appointed cottage in a beautifully tranquil garden setting directly by the lake. Perfectly peaceful with an amazing view from the enclosed veranda. It’s an easy and scenic stroll into town. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return! Gillian and Peter are lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful - thanks for sharing your special place with us :)

Everything about the cottages was charming. The cottages are in an amazing location on the water. Our hosts were very welcoming - with lots of information and recommendations about the local area. Really well appointed kitchen with a full size fridge, lovely back balcony to sit and watch the sunset and very spacious rooms.

The accommodation was exceptional - we had the loveliest cottage with beautiful plants - begonias, orchids, proteas and more surrounding us. The Lakes vista was immediately at our front verandah and the walk into town was close by, giving us every reason to step it out in search of food and drinks.

Beautiful location - right on the riverfront. Really attractive gardens all around. The accommodation had everything we needed, & was very clean and quiet.

Wasn't an issue for us, but there aren't any restaurants or bars nearby - will need to walk or drive into the town centre (a pleasant 20 minute walk).

What a beautiful cottage right on the river with the sound of the ocean in the background. The moment we drove up to the property, it was like time stopped for us. We had a long week of driving and sight seeing and were quite exhausted. We just looked out and instantly felt relaxed. Exactly what we needed

We have wanted to stay in these units for years but they are always booked out - now we know the reason. The location on the waterfront is so peaceful & relaxing with a stunning outlook over the lake with the dunes in the distance. The garden is so well designed that it feels like a haven. We relaxed in the garden and read overlooking this stunning outlook between a few walks into town on the waterfront. The lovely owners live onsite and were very friendly
