We absolutely loved our stay. We had a group of 11 with the youngest being 3 months old, the oldest being 80 and a heavily pregnant person too so finding somewhere that suited us all was tricky BUT Metung Holiday Vilas did exactly that. It ticked every box with stunning cabins, a great pool and park, lots of space to play outside the cabins and all of our dealings with the management were great! This has very easily become our favourite family holiday yet.

We liked the property and the staff. What we didn’t like was that booking.com had downgraded our 3 bedroom superior unit to a 2 bedroom superior unit. It took me days of research to find what I wanted and this was a massive let down. The Managers were superb in trying to make up for it but the compensation of $50 from booking.com was nowhere near enough to make amends! It was to be a special treat for 2 ladies in their 80ies and we wanted 3 bedrooms. Ruth Strong

Location is perfect. Close to local shops, pubs, park, Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale- a major town and other tourist locations. Villas are clean and relaxing with good landscape. You can easily walk to Metung foreshore and local cafes/shops. And yes, generous Easter eggs for kids for their hunt. We have a month of chocolate stock.

Bit miffed with "no heating up curry in the microwave" notice. We have a kid and an adult with severe allergies and always have some sort of food (with sauce) handy for their convenience. Had to be mindful 24/7 while cooking at the villa though.

Staff were lovely, clean and great facilities

The 2 bedroom cabin was a bit squishy for us (family of 4) for the whole week. Was very noisy as it's in close proximity to the other cabins who loved to play cricket and rest their beers on our balcony! Would have liked a quieter cabin position. Our bedroom was so small one of us had to leave the room so the other person could go in.

Close proximity to the town and easy to park the car next to the cabin. The cushions were good and comfy. Glad to have the fan on the ceiling on those hot nights.

The bathroom was small and the shower was a little tight which made moving around in it difficult. The rooms were really hot at night even with the fans on. Especially the kids room. The walls were very thin so we could hear people behind us chatting at night, not loudly but just talking.

For the price, it exceeded expectations. It ticks all the basic boxes for amenities and cleanliness, and actually gave me a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of favourite family holidays up the Coromandel back in NZ when I was a kid.

Hard to fault really. With friendly and accommodating staff (arrangements were happily made in advance for us to arrive late evening), clean facilities, amenities as described, and a fair price, what's not to like? There was even a nice little playground for the kids onsite.

Friendly staff always, and quick response if raised maintenance requests. (Staff came to replace gas bottle within 5 mins after hours! ) Cabin was kept clean and comfortable. Location was not too bad as it was close to Metung hot spring where we were up to. Kids liked to play swimming pool as well.

Few children were hanging around late night with noise.

The budget villa was very clean and comfortable. We arrived to an air-conditioned villa. The car was parked alongside the villa, big car spot. My daughter and her friend loved the comfy bunks. The property was very well kept and the pool very clean. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Very close to Metung Village.

The rooms were very clean and the venue well looked after. It was above expectation for a holiday park. Plenty of parking and lots of room for the family to have their own space. The place had lots of windows so always felt open and airy and each room had a ceiling fan for more comfortable sleep during Summer. Staff were amazing and even minor issues were dealt with as a priority. They knew the area well and had great recommendations. Felt completely relaxed and chilled. Walking distance to shops and super close to the Hot Springs.

Maybe a pantry in the kitchen. Even a small one just to keep the food off the bench.

Super clean- and very well maintained gardens and surroundings! And Darren and Kristy were awesome hosts!

If I had to be super critical- the main bedroom was small- not a lot of room around the bed- but that was my choice- opted for the budget accommodation.
