The location was idyllic, with close access to the beautiful lake and a short stroll along the boardwalk to the shops and cafes. We were surrounded by wildlife and the natives were friendly. It is a bird lovers paradise. The setting of the cottages provided lovely bush surrounds and were well separated for privacy. The cottage had a well-equipped kitchen and laundry, and the deck was perfect for a morning cuppa or late afternoon drink. It was clean, spacious, airy and very welcoming, with a lovely Hamptons vibe to the cottage. Whilst Metung is a small town, it has a store, chemist, bottle shop, pub and cafes so no need to leave for supplies.

There was a minor set-up issue with the TV that was quickly resolved by the helpful on-site manager.

Location was great, only a short walk along the boardwalk to the shops and pub. The grounds of the property were beautifully maintained, the pool was super clean and the games room was well set up.

The outdoor setting was very dirty when we arrived, as if it hadn't been cleaned in preparation for a new booking in the same way the inside of the villa had been cleaned. The table and chairs needed a good wipe down and the cushion covers were so filthy, I took them off and washed them myself. Also, the cushion covers on the inside couch were a bit grubby.

We stayed in freshly renovated vila equipped with more than one will need or use. It was obvious that the owner has tried and successfully achieved to make all guests as comfortable as possible and down to the finest details. There’s also a designated parking with a carport for your car. The vila we stayed in had a huge deck with outdoor furnishings and a bbq. The common grounds are immaculate and the constant care and maintenance obvious. Large pool with smaller kids pool, playgrounds, tennis court and large grassy grounds between all Vilas ensuring privacy and convenience for everyone’s enjoyment. It even has a huge games room for those unfortunate rainy days or somewhere safe to send the kids to ply while the grownups are enjoying Happy Hour:) The resort is approximately 10 min pleasant walk to the pub, small supermarket and shops. You’ll be walking along the lake edge and on a boardwalk. Around the corner is also the boat hire place if you’re into boating and/or fishing. Overall we had a fantastic time and will definitely re-visit again. Lastly, the staff. Sheree was so helpful and always around happy to make us as comfortable as possible. Absolute credit to whoever is in charge (Sheree ?) with the management and maintenance of the whole resort.

Very quiet, well-maintIned and relaxing location. Great pool, sauna and games room. Easy access into village via board walk. Very well appointed cottages. Stylishly and comfortably furnished. Plenty of kitchen utensils to cook up a storm. Air conditioning very welcome and washing machine if required.

Not much. When I mentioned no toiletries in room these were provided immediately, with an apology. Ice tray in freezer could have been filled. Fridge had a few crumbs and bits left from previous occupiets but not a real problem.

The resort was very beautiful and reminded me of the grounds in the Movie Dirty Dancing except we did have a spectacular view of the Bancroft bay. Rooms spacious and comfortable plenty of room for a family. The Mentung town centre is very small but sweet you are just surrounded by water and sailboats. 20 min drive to lakes entrance where we had a lovely adventures day out. We will definitely return again.

The toilet did have a slightly musky smell but nothing a little Glen 20 couldn't fix.

It's been a few years since we last stayed at McMillans and in that time the cottages have been refurbished to a very good standard. The location is superb, quiet and tranquil and we very much enjoyed our three nights there.

The only issue for us was the deep step between the bedroom/bathroom area and the kitchen/lounge area. This is a building issue and probably not one that would worry most people, but with our bad knees we found it awkward.

Coastal Resort has it all. The parkland and nature all combined to give you a retreat style stay. The pool and games room facilities were an added bonus. The cottage itself had a very comfortable bed and was very roomy with all the added mod cons you would need. A great short stay a stones throw away from Metung town center too.

Some neighbours were a bit chatty on their balconies at night, however you only heard them if you had your doors wide open.

We made our own breakfast. We had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect. The accommodation was exceptional. So clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. It had everything and more. I would say the best place we have ever stayed at. The price was so reasonable. The beautiful gardens were well maintained. Sheree the manager was so helpful nothing was a bother. Certainly recommend it to family and friends.

we arrived for a true break, which we got, calm, clean, fresh and clean accommodation with a very well set up kitchen and an easy walk to town

when selecting unit, close by the pool I didn't understand we'd miss out on the water view ( had a pleasant view of trees, but not quite what we'd expected.) Maybe a photo of view from Balcony on each unit would be an idea - just like selecting seats at the theatre...just an idea,

It was very clean, all the facilities were in the villa. The only thing that was missing was an iron but I’m sure if you asked the staff they would get you one. 10 to 15 min walk on the boardwalk to the town. Great place for a family holiday. Lots of things for the children to do and the pool is just lovely.

Maybe just a fan or some air conditioner in the bedroom. It was very hot. The air conditioning is in the main living area.
