Very spacious for 2 people, we had a room with 2 Queen size beds. Really handy quiet location. Easy access to getting the key as we arrived later in the day after reception had closed and the details on accessing our room had been passed onto us.

Bathroom could do with update and the tap was very noisy. Although there was some kitchen equipment there was no sink except for the bathroom and no way to wash anything, The bathroom sink was too small to really use to clean dishes and there was no dish washing liquid etc. No real issue through for a one night stay.

we were allocated a large upstairs room with a large balcony which was bathed in sun nearly all day because of its corner aspect (south west facing) - so wonderful for this time of year (May) and the sunny weather we were fortunate to experience. We looked out over the peaceful waters of Lake King; only a 5 minute walk to the pub and shops. very comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a spa.

being a larger person, i found the shower a bit tight but it was still do-able - just don't drop the soap!

Well maintained, great location and facilities. Staff were very kind and helpful. For the most part was an amazing place to stay for a family.

The shower over the spa bath was EXTREMELY dangerous, we went with an elderly person and she could not access the shower at all. The other adults also felt quite uncomfortable climbing into the spa to shower (shower head over spa bath), the side was exceptionally high and not safe with water/whilst wet. We also went on a hot weekend and the second bedroom was uncomfortably hot without an aircon and a fan that did work very well.

We stayed 2 nights on Sat 31 August and Sun 1 September 2024, in an Apartment. This is a fabulous location and is a great stop-over while cruising Gippsland area. The Apartment was 40m2, open plan with kitchen area, dining table and lounge area. Rates were good. Management was helpful and friendly. Metung is a great small town, with only one shopping strip, with Metung Hotel and Pub as the central attraction on the water, a few good eating places, and a General Store. The Metung suburbs and area is interesting, with the Metung Springs Resort nearby (expensive). Bairnsdale is the closest town (20 minutes), for any further shopping needs. Lakes Entrance is also only 40 minutes away. Yes, Metung area and Waters Motel and Apartments are recommended.

Spacious and spotless, with friendly staff. Firm bed and quiet heater. Large bathroom. Minutes away from cafes, pub and waterfront, with a lovely view to the water from the upstairs walkway (if you are staying in a room rather than one of the two storey apartments).

Small suggestion - could the tall standing lamp have a warm coloured light bulb instead of cool white, for cosiness in the evening? The bedside lamps are warm yellow which is great.

What a gem this place is! We had apartment 6 upstairs (Queen room) for three nights Location is amazing, literally a two minute walk to multiple cafes, bakery, pub with bistro, fish and chips, a small but very well stocked store, a lovely park with a children's splash park and playground opposite and water on both sides of the property. Our room was double in size to what I was expecting, well stocked with kitchen gear, a huge bathroom with shower and spa, a couch, four chairs and table, balcony overlooking the splash park and the apartment was spotless. We loved the secure parking at the rear of the motel and the pool in the middle of the bbq area was very well received by the multiple families that were staying. For the last 15 years we have stayed in Lakes Entrance however after finding this accomodation we would be hard pressed to be convinced to go anywhere else. Metung is laid back, family friendly and while there is not a "beach" the lake feel and over all more relaxed and small town vibe more than makes up for it. Good walks with lots to see, great bird life and lots of boats to sit and watch. We loved our trip to Metung Waters Motel and will 100% be back, with the rest of our large family!

This is not a negative, just a note to say if you are looking for a couples retreat this may not be it. There were many young kids staying with family while we were also staying and the central pool area was clearly a hit with the sound of laughter, squealing and splashing going on. While my daughter and I enjoyed the kids having fun others may not, it was during the day and early evening, not night time and did not take away from our experience at all.

Location is fantastic. Everything you need is within walking distance. Really well equipped kitchen. We didn't use it much but would be perfect for a longer stay

The carparking at our apartment was a bit tight The shower in the spa was not the very practical for my older mum, but the staff were helpful supplying a step and offer of a shower to use in another room.

Great location just off the main street, close to restaurants, coffee shops. Large room with good facilities, jacuzzi style bath, great water supply, easy parking. Originally planned to stay one night but on arriving decided to change plans and stay for two nights. Excellent location for day trips on land and water. Great breakfasts at the local coffee shops, take away food for picnic round the corner and excellent food for dinner at the hotel across the road.

There was nothing we didn't like - we would definitely stay again.

good location ,easy to beach on foot and other side pier nearby restaurant & cafe within 5 mins on foot . Very clean and fully kitchen inside apartment , enought lighting , so lucky to get 3single and 1 king Unit, please beware of bathroom 'design ,which is jacuzzi with shower and around 15 stairs to up stair bedroom ! Overall is good

Fabulous big room with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A king size bed, plenty of space for a lounge and table, with a balcony overlooking a park. The kitchenette had all the basics, including a roomy fridge. The bathroom was also roomy, with plenty of natural light. The location is also fantastic, and only 100m from the Metung Hotel (where the food is fantastic). I would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Metung.
