The location was great being close to Smith's beach and at the crossroads to Caves Road. The lodge was quaint and the garden at the back was pleasant to sit out at. There were food venues close by.

Although we received text messages from the management, I didn't realise this was an unmanned reception. I know it was the Christmas season but we saw no staff at all during our week long stay and it felt very impersonal and not as welcoming as a lodge evokes. It is not really suitable for a family and although it is nice to be away from the crowds, it is noisy if you are the back of the building with traffic from the road junction, upstairs neighbours and visitors to the other eateries. The wifi was patchy and the TV reception was lagging and unwatchable. We enjoyed our stay due to the location near to the beaches but need to be mindful of expectations.

Great location, close to Smiths Beach, Yallingup Gallery and loads of wineries. Also close to Dunsborough for shopping. we had a one bedroom apartment on ground floor with lovely patio overlooking the gardens and ponds, Heaps of birdlife. Property is self check in but we met the owner around the grounds. Older lodge style building but units are gradually being done up. Ours had good bathroom, comfy bed and new kitchenette fittings. TV was set up with streaming services, and the wifi was great. Right next door to Lavender Tea rooms, for light meals and Devonshire teas all day, and on other side was Barnyard restaurant and winery. Excellent food and service for breakfast or lunch. Really enjoyed our restful 4 day stay.

Some of the furniture needs updating, especially the sofa. Some sound from the upstairs room as it is wooden floors, but not really a problem.

The location was great. It's only 5 minutes from Yallingup beach and general store, and a good spot to stay to explore the region. I didn't realise how close it is to the Barnyard1978, which offers some of the most delicious food in the area and it's literally next door. Also next door is the quaint Cape Lavender Teahouse. Famous for it's scones! My ground floor room was very spacious and comfortable and I loved having a little verandah and outlook to the big and beautiful garden.

Location is excellent with a cafe on one side and restaurant on the other. Beaches and attractions in every direction.

I was a bit surprised by having to wash your own dishes before you leave otherwise you incur a cleaning charge. Whilst we would normally do this anyway, I would think for the room rate that this would be taken into account. If they change out the dishes anyway, before the next visitors, it doesn't matter, but if they don't, you are relying on the previous guests to have washed the dishes properly... If noise from wooden floor boards are an issue for you, ask for a room upstairs. Although they do mention this to the guests which is good.

After a misunderstanding between Booking.com, the owner and myself the owner was very accommodating in being able to change my room in spite of being fully booked out. I very much appreciate his efforts and the more suitable room we had. The owner was both apologitic and kind in his dealaings with me. the room was comfy and the grounds had lovely gardens.

The reception is unmaned so communication was difficult.

Beautiful timber framed house with well presented rooms and a modern twist while keeping the older charm. Loved the little kitchenette and the small touches as it was lovely to have tea and coffee in bed and we got a few snacks for our stay (as there is only the cafe next door on site). Pretty gardens and views from the bedrooms, easy and relatively close drive to Yallingup, Dunsborough and Margaret River so a great little base for a couple. Loved the self check in which made it stress free. Would love to come back here again!

The sprinklers come on in the evening so we had to run through these one night to get inside ha ha. It is a quiet stay so if you are travelling with children or conscious of this I would seek elsewhere just to be mindful of the other guests. it is pretty self sufficient stay so if you are looking for services, pools, restaurants just be mindful you will need to travel by car.

It’s so clean and peaceful. Nobody will bother you at any time. Very cosy atmosphere ♥️ I’m sure I’ll be back

The only this is make sure you take enough towels just because usually there is no one in reception to help you get more. Usually it is self check in and out (which is amazing) but in case you need to restock towels, toilet paper or soap, you will have to pass by the reception for a few times.

Handy to all activities . Lovely having the Lavender Tea House beside it . They do a great Devonshire Tea . This is a series of small quaint apartments within one building which is self contained. There is a lovely garden around it and a winery at the back. We were located at the back and it was very quiet.

No seperate kitchen sink to do dishes but this didn’t matter.

Very cute lodge in a great area in Yallingup for all the main attractions! Right next to a winery and the Cape Lavender Tea House which has delicious scones, with Indijup and Canal Rocks 5 mins down the road. Very homely rooms which were spacious, comfortable and very clean. I'd booked in for my birthday and was greeted with a birthday card and a bottle of wine which was a really special touch! Would definitively stay again

Was a tiny bit hard to find my room in the dark while checking in but otherwise everything was perfect!

The location was amazing, the room was spacious and the view overlooking the garden was really nice. Bed was very comfortable. Appreciated the water in the fridge, the teas and the coffee available and the welcoming easter chocolates. Microwave, kettle, fridge and cutleries/plates/glasses and cups.

Walls are very thin and unfortunately we had a noisy neighbor watching tv all night, with a loud volume.
