Very quiet location in Graz, a little bit away from the city centre, but well connected with tram, the station is some 10 minutes walking distance. Free parking. Great restaurant with Austrian cuisine. Our room was in the separated object Sonne, 5 minutes walking distance from the main object with reception and restaurant. The hotel is equipped in vintage style, it feels like you're at someone's home. There is a minibar in the room with cold drinks.

There are some details that go with the vintage style, like creaking of the beds and the floors. But the place is clean and well taken care of.

I lived 3 nights in the so-called Annex (room 6), the building being similar to a mansion from the last century. It had an interior staircase made of solid wood, some windows with a kind of stained glass, stylish furniture. The building, surrounded by a lot of greenery, is placed in a forest. Excellent price-quality ratio. It is located 900 m from the T1 tram station, which you can use to reach the old town. The restaurant has an excellent position, like a fairy tale.

The daily cleaning in the room is done superficially, basically just picking up the trash from the bin. On hot nights, the presence of a fan does not really help, it only rotates the air. I suggest installing an air conditioner. My room had a refrigerator with different products and a price list. I didn't like that one price was listed on that list and another price was marked at the reception on the day of departure, for example a bottle of light Cola was 2 euros, and 4 euros at reception. All TV programs were exclusively in German. At least one channel could be in an international language (English, French or Italian).

Two best things about the hotel are the restaurant (the hotel is an auxilary service of the restaurant) and the area where it is located - beautiful, forest-bordering upscale residential area on the top of a hill.

There was nothinbg not to like. Depending on which building one gets accommodated at, rooms may be with very old interior (I guess from the 1980s or earlier) or new/er. The old interior is not to dislike - it actually looks good, "time proof", so to say.

Absolutely charming hotel set in fascinating and quirky gardens, we have stayed here before and probably will again. Friendly staff , good facilities ( no lift , but it is an historic building, so not to be expected ), excellent restaurant with attentive and helpful waiters, serving good value great local cuisine, and good breakfast, plenty of parking space . great for walkers and a nearby tram will take you into the city.

The views from both guest house and restaurant were amazing. The sculptures within the interior and the landscaping surrounding the guest house were astounding. There is a road/path next to and meandering along and through a wooded area that provides tranquility for bicyclists, hikers, joggers and dogs!humans and dogs. The daily work of staff in cleaning the common areas and the exterior by making nature seem"natural", when in reality the parking lot as well as the immediate vicinity surrounding the house were scrupulously swept so that no fallen leaves were visible near the guesthouse. The only drawback to my stay there was the food served in the restaurant, which no longer lives up to which I will imagine is its past reputation. One meal was outstanding, while the others were mediocre at best.

Cosy room with a bathroom in the attic of a separate small house, we were placed outside of the main hotel but only 1min of walk away. The area is calm, green and relaxing. Our room was flawless, big bed with a firm but not too tough matress, enough storage space for clothes and things, small good quality ventilator (handy as the day was hot and humid). No noise from the other occupants, also the neighbourhood is very quiet - we had an amazing rest. Tasty buffet breakfast.

Our general impression about the hotel is excellent: the room is very good, clean, the surrounding area is beautiful, the people are nice.

We went to have breakfast around 8:30 (Breakfast 7:00-10:00). There were no plates and tools around, we needed to ask for everything one by one. Otherwise the food was delicious and various.

I liked the room very much. For this cheap price to have a room with a balcony table and a gorgeous mountain view was marvelous. The room also had a small fridge, which is important for any traveler who wants to store food and keep his/her bottles water cold. The staff was welcoming, pleasant, and extremely helpful, giving me all sorts of advice. The cleaning ladies too did great job of keeping the room clean. I was pleasantly surprised with a pressure in the water shower. It was so nice and strong that you can literally massage your body by taking a shower! To summarize: it is a great place for any person who travel by car.

The breakfast service and choices are lousy. Had to ask a waiter twice to bring me coffee. He literally said to me that he was busy and forgot about me! If you have a self-service breakfast, why do not you simply put a coffee pot or a coffee machine for customers to help themselves without each time asking a waiter to bring coffee or tea (there was no pot with hot water at the breakfast counter either!). The food choices at the food counter were limited and were not frequently replenished. My advice: avoid their breakfast service (which is not included into the price of the room, by the way) and have your breakfast somewhere else.

The room was very spacious and with lovely interior. The staff was friendly. The food was very good and the portions are quite large. The have many different dishes and also a lot for vegetarians and also at least two vegan options, which i didnt expect. Also it was easy to get some soy milk for breakfast. The breakfast was also good :)

That I didnt stay longer

Spectacular villa with fairytale decoration. Our room was big and very clean. The house had a great garden and was wonderfully quiet in the afternoon/evening. The property is a 10 minute walk away from a tram stop with frequent service right to the centre of Graz (the ride to Hauptplatz is about 25 mins). The restaurant is literally next door and serves great food at reasonable prices.

There was some construction work going on across the street, which was a little loud in the morning, but that's not the hotel's fault.
