The location of MONDI in Grundlsee is very convenient - we took a day trip to Hallstatt which was just 30 minutes drive, and another day we drove the panoramic route to Loser Altaussee. The MONDI resort staff were very welcoming and friendly - my husband and I are American and English speaking and the staff was always quick to accommodate with a smile. We enjoyed the spa / wellness area each day during our stay - while the steam bath was out of service, we still were able to use the 3 other saunas and the pool. The food was exceptional as well - from breakfast to dinner, we left satisfied and pleased with each meal. They offer a seasonal venison menu and we loved trying new things we don't normally get to eat! The chalets themselves are so charming - our studio had a mini kitchen, supplied with utensils, dishes, and cookware, and a good size refrigerator. The heated floor in the bathroom was awesome, too! Can't say enough great things about our stay.

The spa opens at 1:00pm each day, with the exception of a couple of ladies only mornings that begin at 10am-1pm. We would have liked to have had the chance to go to the spa for a sauna in the morning and then have a second session in the afternoon or evening.

We’ve been fortunate enough to stay in some of the top hotels around the world, but the experience of these chalets definitely ranked up there. The facilities within the chalet were exceptional as was the breakfast we had served to us in the morning.

It was a shame the outdoor bathtub wouldn’t get any warmer than 36c

Amazing place and amazing location. Very nice view from the resort, we was with small childrens and there is very nice play room for them. The breakfast is amazing and deliver every morning to the chalet. The restaurant was very good and kids friendly and the waiter was very very nice. In the chalet was hut tab outside and sauna . We love this place very much

Great location, lovely spacious chalets and good breakfast which is delivered in a basket to your door every morning. And on top of everything - great views!

You have to shower in the bath and the shower hangs way too low, so you have to either hold it or sit in the bath while you shower, not great. Also, I booked a shiatsu massage and the spa therapist was not there to pick me up at the designated time, so I had to unfortunately cancel.

The hotel is on the hill so it is very quiet. Scenery is absolutely beautiful and it is easy to drive to the other beautiful lakes nearby. It takes you 10 minutes to walk to the lake and you can swim there. The view from the restaurant terrace is absolutely fantastic! It compensates all the less desirable things in the hotel.

The swimming pool is old fashion and not inviting. If you stand in the room balcony and look you will see a carpark and workshop. If you just sit there and look out, it is fine. You don't see them. The bed is very hard. Only later we read that you can ask for soft mattress topper at the reception, of course, it depends if it is available at that time. The kitchen worktop is too small to cook anything in my opinion.

Location is amazing, best lake out of all in the region. Friendly staff, clean and cosy rooms.

Had to pay extra for lockers at swimming pool area, a game of billiard costs 10 euros. Cold breakfast only brought to your room every morning.

Cody but modern chalet, with floor heating, gas fireplace and equipped kitchen, sauna. Very comfortable. Nice views. Good location to explore the area.

Everything was ok.

the lake view was stunning. Also, staffs reception and help was quite positive. Our chalet unfortunately was at the back and had a slight mountain view and no lake view, so was a bit disappointing. However, we managed to access the terrace freely and walk to the lake easily.

The car par facility is limited. The terrace area is small and did not accommodate enough numbers. We had to free some space in the terrace one day for yoga session class, which made things crowded. Home service menu is limited

- Chalet reception could’ve been more cooperative - Softer sheets would’ve made the stay more comfortable

This is without doubts, one of the best hotels that I've ever been in Everything is amazing
