The hotel is located right in the centre and super close to the Inn river. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the value for money proposition is very good! The breakfast place is also very nice and the buffet selection is decent. The room is big with a generous office desk and in my case also with a really nice view!

The only aspect that could be better is the mattress that was sloping down toward the middle of the one-person bed. Additionally, the message exchange on Booking.com was a bit harsh which I blame on the English language not being the staff's mother tongue as the reception and restaurant personnel on location were super lovely.

The hotel itself is perfectly situated; just a few stones from the city's main attractions. It's also not too far from the main train station, so you could walk by there - if you don't have too much luggage. The staff is courteous, especially the people handling the breakfast service. You even have the option to send your travel data in advance so you can get the keys right away - although this applies only if you also pay in advance - and you can check yourself in if you arrive a bit late and nobody is greeting you at the reception. Overall, it's indeed a great place to stay if you're looking for a hotel with a reasonable price for value.

Whether it was due to being on the top floor or the router not being strong enough, the wifi was, unfortunately, not too great. It often lost the signal, especially when everyone on the floor returned to their rooms. Also, the soundproofing could've been better - even if it's nearly impossible to muffle Southern Europeans and their loud chitchatting.

Great location, with easy access to the train station, the airport, the old city and the funicular to Nordkette. Nice room, street view, excellent breakfast for a 3 stars hotel. We also got a free public transport card, which the city of Innsbruck provides to guests staying for more than a day, which was a nice gesture. It was clean and comfortable, with a/c and good WiFi

The bathroom... No matter who you are travelling with (my mother this time) it is not comfortable using the bathroom when the other person can hear everything. Not for couples, not for friends, in general NO. Also, the curtains had stains from dead insects which is not represantative of the hotel as it was clean and smelled nice.

This is a clean and tidy hotel in an excellent location. Buses at the door, the river and mountains directly behind you, and plenty of places to eat and drink in a 5 minute radius. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you have what you need and gave us good suggestions for things to see. Two English news channels and loads of sport if you want some TV time. Bathroom was good and the bed very comfortable. I would stay again.

Nothing. A kettle and small fridge in the room would be perfect but these things are not really standard in much of Europe.

Price we paid was same as price offered locally except local price Included breakfast buffet. I verified this with attendant. Desk attendant checking us in indicated we had breakfast. Instead of leaving on an early train, we stayed for breakfast. Poor choice. Desk attendant was wrong. They wanted to charge us 20 euro per person on top of the price of the stay which we found out well after the train departed. Should have left early on the 6:38 train. I’m not a fan of gouging travelers just because you can. We went across the street and paid 9.70euro for breakfast for the two of us combined. 40 euros is exorbitant for breakfast not to mention should have been included in our $170.

The location is perfect, near the centre and you have tram/bus stops in front of the hotel. Breakfast is very good, loads of fresh food , great choice.All the staff is very friendly, to name one Dorina at reception who gave us plenty of useful advice and the very kind gentleman in the Breakfast room.There were a lot of extra touches which made our staying very pleasant.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Basic hotel. I came for a conference. The location was excellent, just 8 minutes from the hotel to Innsbruck University and the Congress, 2 minutes from the beautiful river and the old city center. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful.

There was no shower cup and vanity kit in the bathroom and no kettle to make some tea in the room.

The location was ideal. I would describe The Basic Hotel Innsbruck as rather spare but typically European in style, size, and efficiency. The curb appeal can be a bit off-putting at first; it could probably use some freshening up, though the room was nice, well-appointed, and larger than expected.

Parking wasn't the easiest, but once we figured it out it wasn't horrible, either. The Hotel only controls 8- I think?- spaces on-site, and if those are gone...you are on your own. The good news is that there is a public parking garage a half a block away, but if it is a busy time of year or day...yikes.

Fantastic location just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Eggs to order at breakfast, a friendly staff, and on site parking (you MUST reserve a spot in advance).

Just not a fan of the sliding door, frosted glass bathroom cube. You can hear everything and the room lights up at night when someone uses the toilet.

The location is perfect if you want to be in the heart of the city and have 1 minute walk to all main highlights of Innsbruck. The room was clean and tidy, also newly renovated, having all we needed for our long weekend stay. It looked exactly as on the photos loaded to Booking. The personnel was friendly from the beginning helping with booking the parking lot in advance.
