We had a spacious room with tall ceilings and three windows with a nice view and a big bed. It was quiet outside, allowing us to sleep with the windows open. The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, and it's a short walk from a main train station.

WiFi did not reach our room, and there aren't any power outlets near the bed for charging your phone on the nightstand. The mattress was quite firm for me.

Very Clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location. It was near many points of interest and there were a lot of excellent bakeries nearby. Shower was easy to use and consistent. Beds were comfortable and there was a sofa.

You could hear the guests in the next room (I was okay because I had earplugs). There was an extra charge for tea and coffee facilities (when this is usually included in the price of most other hotels I've been to). €23 for breakfast seems very expensive (we didn't bother as there are so many excellent bakeries nearby). Cleaners would sometimes just come into the room unannounced, although they were very apologetic afterwards.

The location of the hotel is perfect, close to the central station and the old town of Innsbruck. We received information beforehand on self check-in but once we got there we had help from a very friendly receptionist who also informed us about the Innsbruck welcome card and other discounts available via the hotel. The room was clean and the cleaner also came every day which was much appreciated.

There was a vague smell of cigarette smoke in the room when we arrived but later we couldn’t smell it. If you are visiting this hotel in the summer, be aware that there is no AC (at least not in our room). With opened windows it was fine during the day, but the curtains are very thick and when you keep them closed to shut out the light the fresh air doesn’t make it into the room. Maybe offering a fan would be a good temporary solution if AC can’t be installed.

Contactless check-in. They send very detailed information regarding your arrival, and you can arrive at any time. It's also very simple, doesn't require any online registrations and such. Room is very clean and well maintained, while keeping a classical style.

The lack of a reception desk may dislike some guests in longer stays, but as we slept for one night, it wasn't a problem.

We liked the cordiality of the staff, the breakfast and the location! Although the hotel is old, we had a wonderful experience! What truly stood out was the impeccable service from the staff, who treated us with great care and friendliness. Another highlight was the breakfast, which was simply delightful! Variety of selection of cold cuts, freshly baked bread, and a delicious homemade scrambled eggs. It was the perfect way to start the day, plus the view of the mountains! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values warm hospitality and an unforgettable breakfast. We would definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the Innsbruck railway station. Although it’s advertised as self-check-in, the reception staff were incredibly helpful and assisted us with everything upon arrival. The location is perfect—close to all major tourist attractions and well-connected to public transport. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free 3-day public transport pass and city card, which added great value to our trip. The room was spotless, and the beds were super comfy, ensuring a relaxing stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Innsbruck!

The only downside was the breakfast experience. If you go later, around 9:00, the options were quite limited, and empty bowls were not refilled.

We stayed for two nights and had two rooms (104 and 404). Room 104 was a bit dark, and while functional, the bathroom felt a little outdated. The sink was also slightly clogged. In contrast, room 404 was bright and much more pleasant in terms of lighting. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was simple but tasty — a nice start to the day. Overall, the hotel offered a decent experience, though room quality can vary. The friendly service and good breakfast were definite positives.

we enjoyed the hotel. It was surprisingly quiet in the night (we had a room to the front and left the window open), the neighbourhood had good vibes, the room was nice, check in very easy with the keybox and instructions were clear. Free parking (as it was a weekend) was difficult to find but there is a car park (payable) opposite

The breakfast was nice but not outstanding and if I would have had to pay for it separately, it would have been overpriced for what you get. As it was, it came as a deal and was absolutely fine

The staff's friendliness and helpfulness, even though they aren't available 24/7 (there's no night porter service). The building central location, close to the city center and several public transportation stops.

The selection of sweet items at breakfast was limited. The 7:30 start time is a bit of a problem for business travellers or for scheduling early activities. There was no bidet in the bathroom.

I loved the hotel the moment I walked in: gorgeous decor, elevator, and comfortable room with writing desk and plenty of storage space. My room was completely quiet, and I could even catch a glimpse of the Nordkette. Location absolutely perfect: within walking distance from the Central Railway Station and only a short walk to the Altstadt. The breakfast was very good and plentiful and the breakfast staff very attentive. The after-hours self check-in was easy with detailed instructions provided. I can highly recommend Hotel Neue Post.

Con: The radio could be heard in the breakfast room. I asked to turn it off because I found it completely unnecessary, annoying and stressful, but management refused my request. Some soft, unobtrusive music – if anything at all - would be a better alternative.
