We usually stay in this hotel on our way to or back from the Czech republic. It's always a pleasure to use this facility, a nice break on our long drive. The hotel is beautiful, gives you the Austrien vibe. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly.

It wad the second time we had to wait quite a bit for our dinner. This time I got my dish whereas my son had to wait another 15 min for his.

Perfect location in Brenner, with good access and availability. The staff was amiable. The rooms are spacious and clean. The dinner was delicious.

The breakfast was open to 10 a.m. However, when we arrived at 9 a.m., very little food was available. A group of tourists who came earlier ate almost everything, and nothing was added, so the choice of food and drinks was very poor.

Booked this hotel for one night only in transit from Italy to Germany. It's close to the motorway, so the location was perfect. There's a train station directly across the road, though we haven't checked the routes and timetables. The man at reception was very friendly, had no issues swapping between English and German to accommodate everyone in the group, and had good information for us. The rooms were spacious and clean, had a little balcony too. Food in the restaurant was decent, but the atmosphere was odd - very quiet, especially as no music was playing in the background. The waiter there on the night was very brief and didn’t seem very happy/ welcoming.

When opening the balcony door, we could smell smoke from one of the other balconies. I’m not certain if smoking was allowed on the premises, but I felt uncomfortable and closed the door straight away.

Warm welcome and friendly staff, nice warm well kept and clean rooms. Excellent location just outside Matrei bahnhof and THE BEST Crème Brûlée in the restaurant.

Easy access from the train station and generous parking. Small menu for a la carte dinner, but the quality is absolutely worth it. Sauna was actually quiet, which surprised us given the size of the hotel. Rooms were quiet. Breakfast was okay.

Wall-mounted fans are a thing of the past - stronger fans would be just really so much better.

The hotel is clean and is well-decorated. It is so cute! They have a comfy bar in the hotel.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for dinner the night we were there but they made a great recommendation for dinner at a hotel close by.

We had a car, so the location was convenient to drive to the surrounding ski resorts. We felt like home while away from home.

It was a little pricy but we had to book the last moment.

We always love Parkhotel Matrei. It is a fantastic location to stop on our way to and from Bavaria, Germany to Tuscany or Lombardi, Italy. We have stayed there several times since 2020 on our way to and from northwestern Italy. Rooms are clean, restaurant is top-notch, bar is relaxing. It's all terrific!
