The position at Strobl on Wolfgangsee is gorgeous and it’s worth paying for a lake view room. Generous room size, comfortable bed, lounge area with sofa, lounge chair & coffee table and great bathroom. Excellent breakfast - good choice and the ability to order eggs anyway you like. Beautiful gardens right down to the lake where there are 2 jetties and access for swimming. Lovely saunas - Finnish & Bio, and a steam room. Wellness centre if you want to book a massage. Short stroll to ferries - lovely way to see the area and and visit other towns - Sankt Wolfgang and Sankt Gilgen - both busier than Strobl but access for hiking via cog railway or cable car.

Regret 2 things - 1. Not taking offered up grade to room with lake view balcony 2. Not have the courage to swim in the crystal clear water - a bit to chilly when I visited.

Our flight was delayed so we advised hotel of late arrival. They replied with directions for finding key. Your advertisement was in name of Brandauers Villen Superior. We could not find key at this property and nobody ever mentioned that this hotel was connected under ground with SEEHOTEl, a separate property. We were very distressed and tired. We were surprised that a four star hotel had no night staff on duty . We contacted a friend who came to help and was able to figure out the connection with building next door and found the key. In the envelope with key was a letter giving an emergency number, which was no benefit to us. I tried to point out this issue to receptionist but

First of all the room was very comfortable - it was big and with great spot to sit next to the window and look at the mountains and lake (room 46). The room and the facilities are very clean and the all staff both at the lobby and the restaurant are very friendly and eager to help and let you feel you are welcome. We used the gym which is very modern and techie - we liked that very much. The breakfast is amazing as it is very rich with a lot of verity - everything is so fresh. We also had two dinners at the hotel's restaurant and it was all very fresh and well cooked comparing to other restaurants in the area (which are good as well). The waiter was amazing - he provided great recommendations and was very friendly. I will be happy to go back and stay in this place for sure (and hopefully get the same room) !!!!!

I liked everything

Great location in beautiful surroundings. Private beach and plenty of space. Room is spacious with a big bathroom. Perfect breakfast. All was super clean. Very nice staff and nice receptionists who take care of you if you need any help. Plus is free parking space where you fit with no issues. Our room didn’t have AC, but plenty of window to open so you will not be hot. Definitely one of the best hotels / villas in this area.

For kids 2+ there’s 0 entertainment hence you need to go to a different beach. Property is more suitable for older kids, around 10+ who can spend the time swimming.

Hotel was situated in a quiet town with an exceptional view of the mountains around lake Wolfgangsee. It was amazing to have seen the sun set into the valley. Staff was friendly and helpful. The accommodation though pricey was cosy and staying there made us feel like one or the locals.

I think dinner variety could have been slightly better.

The penthouse we got was awesome. we had 180° view both the lake & city as well.

Easy to find the hotel, with several parking spots around and by the Wolfangsee lake. The room size was more than enough for 2 people (queen bed + sofa). Very good breakfast, with fresh bread and eggs prepared on demand.

Curtains in the room were not fully blocking the morning sunlight.

there is no proper portable air conditioner, only a fan which we requested to ventilate the room because we couldn’t open the window so many insects. Also we found spider web in the room and in lights of the room

Really nice hotel, the location is very centric in Strobl. It has its own access to the lake with a nice garden and chairs that you can sit and enjoy the lake view or even swim! The room was very big and comfortable (I booked a mountain view one) you get a quiet night sleep (the bell of the church rang every hour hahaha, in spite of this I slept very comfortably) It had a nice living room area, a huge closet and big bathroom. They provide you with a nice handbag with towels, bathrobes and comfy slippers that you can use for the sauna (I did not use it, but am sure was very comfy since I saw people using them for the sauna) The staff is very friendly, nice and attentive and the restaurant serves really delicious food for dinner. We went on low season (end of March, and we were lucky with the amazing weather) breakfast was really yummy, they have everything from fruits, breads, yogurts, hams, cheeses, cereals and eggs that they can cook it for you on the spot. Coffee is really good too. Every morning, at the breakfast table, they print a paper with tips about activities (hikes) that you can do on that day. The location has easy access to the ferry, it is pretty much a few steps away (even though it was not running during our stay, since it was low season) but there is close access to the bus station, which can take you to St. Wolfgang, Bad Ischl and St. Gilgen, Fuschl and from there you can go on hikes.
