I'd never been to Dhaka before this, so I can't compare it with other hotels. But we were there during a time of upheaval (the start of the student protests and mass flooding) and the people at the hotel handled things extremely well, considering the circumstances. The rooms were clean, the AC worked fine, there's a decent restaurant on the ground floor. There is an ATM right across the street, but you feel like frogger crossing the road.

People staying in middle floors should know that there is a 'lounge' or 'bar' where a live band plays a couple nights a week. I didn't hear it, but my friend said the day before I got there they were playing into the early hours. The neighborhood seems to be an area with a lot of car mechanics, which means it's mostly men on the streets here.

If you're seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in a vibrant area, The Hotel 71 is a perfect choice. My recent stay felt more like a luxurious apartment stay than a typical hotel. The room was spacious and well-maintained. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping everything clean and tidy. The friendly staff was another plus. From the front desk team who were always happy to help with anything, to the helpful maintenance staff who promptly addressed any minor issues, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location was fantastic too. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, it offered a peaceful retreat after a long day, yet it was still close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Overall, It provided a comfortable and convenient living space, a delicious and complimentary breakfast, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a residential hotel that feels like home, with the added bonus of amazing breakfasts, then look no further! I highly recommend it!

It's a huge hotel with 19 floors. My room was in the 16th floor, and I had a great view over the city, with windows on two sides. The room was sufficiently large and well-equipped, and I didn't miss anything. They serve a good and comprehensive breakfast buffet in the first floor; the only thing I missed was cold milk for the cereal. They also have a restaurant in the 2nd floor, as well as a bar, massage salon, and hairdresser. The location is fairly central and there are good restaurants nearby. They organized their own transport to meet me at and fetch me from the airport, which was very helpful.

My only minor criticism is that the breakfast buffet closes already at 10 am; keeping it open 30 to 60 minutes longer would be more tourist-friendly.

The people working there are great, helpful, smiling and they really made my trip a success ! The location is also perfect, close to the Old Dhaka, the Dhaka University and so one but not in the middle of agitated crowd, trafic and the like which is actually … Dhaka. Great place to stay.

The only thing was noise in the early evening, loud music sometimes coming from ? … I never found out. Kind of discotheque big-bang music. But it never disturb me to the point that I could not sleep. I am sure having asked, the hotel would have find ma another room.

Great hospitality, breakfast was good, customer service and all staff were very helpful and kind to all guests. Clean and nice interior. Besides, we booked queen room but was given suite room instead which was quite shocking. We really appreciate their welcoming gesture.

Only the toilet felt a little bit small for the room but it was clean and comfortable for us.

last day I leave in this hotel is hotel 71 is hotel or the best hotel in Dhaka according to myself I believe this hotel deserve for four star hotel the staff of this hotel are very humble and the hotel inside is net and clean and too much peaceful I love it and I enjoyed thank you hotel 71 inshallah I will go again next time

This was my fourth stay at Hotel 71. A stay longer than two weeks. Once again I can recommend this hotel located in the heart of Dhaka. Great employees creating a unique atmosphere unmatched in other hotels. Polite, kind and helpful employees make you feel at home during your stay at Hotel 71. Great meals served in the restaurant led by Mr. Aowlad and boss Mrs. Sumi give you a taste of Bengali traditional cuisine. Roomservice employees made sure that the room was always clean and stocked up to date. /Which was quite a challenge taking care of the room of a clutter like me/. During your stay at Hotel 71 you feel taken care of and safe. Thanks to managers like Mr. Neaz Morshed Dipu, you can see that Hotel 71 is developing and constantly expanding the offer for its customers. After the covid pandemic, some good employees lost their jobs at Hotel 71. I hope that now that the world is back to normal, the owners of the hotel will give them a chance to re-employ. If I'm back to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, I will definitely stay at Hotel 71. See you soon.

People were friendly. Hotel was nice! Also the location is good. All in all it was good and we were satisfied.

Food in the internal restaurant is expensive.

Nice, helpful and cheerful staff. Fine view from the one of the top floors. Bed was clean and comfortable enough. The restaurant was superb - fantastic choices for both breakfast and the optional dinner buffet. Really a lot to choose from, and helpful staff there as well.

Bathroom was clean enough, but a little bit old. The room itself had good enough facilities and was clean as well, but a bit ageing.
